So part of my load was the new brilliant glaze and was dying to give it a trying with my Americana wax (huge shout out to Dan the Man) and I'm stunned on how well those products work together. First of all the add on and off process was super easy with a double polishing mf towel. I live in south Texas very very south so the temperature over here is crazy so I really didn't know what to expect on the drying process. But after letting it heal for 7 minutes each the wipe on and off was very easy. After that I applied some detail spray to get some panels that still had some polish.

    The results:

My 2005 black GTO to date has only been washed with water 4 times.......after every drive I wipe her down with WW or DS, depending on how dirty.
WW used with WW MF towel is super safe.

First you gotta figure out what condition the paint is in and what he means by detail...some people a lot of people think detailing is just putting on a coat of wax and calling it a day.
Does he want just a wash? Does he want you to just clay and seal? Does he want his paint corrected, all of these are going to play a role in deciding a plan.
If the paint is good and doesn't really have swirls and scratches, I'd probably do a simple clay and seal then maybe a coat of Americana for longevity and perhaps recommend he put some Brilliant Glaze before an event.
If the paint needs correcting, you need to decide how many stages it'll take to bring back the shine.
    Good luck, take pictures...!

    Hi Scott, great question!

In my experience, you're most likely still going to need to do a Two Bucket Wash afterward to remove all of the dirt. Foaming a vehicle down does aid in loosening and encapsulating dirt, but in most cases it will still need agitation with a wash pad, wash mitt, etc with more Car Shampoo if you've already rinsed off the foam from the foam gun/cannon, in order to remove all dirt.

If you have a fresh application of sealant or wax on the vehicle, dirt will usually stick less and rinse off more easily, but the foam gun/foam cannon can still only do so much of the job.

Same thing scenario as my other post but on a new car.  By the way this is a amazing car if you are a bells and whistles person.  Plus not only is it NOT a CVT which are dominant for this segment, it is a DCT!

    From my other post:

So not knowing that sealing paint was a thing and learning as I go, I took a recently clayed, corrected , polished and waxed car (100% Adams products) and then strip washed, feeled around to confirm claying was unnecessary, paint sealed with a PC on 4 this time and patriot waxed (again, 100% Adams products adding in the paint sealer and upgrading to the Patriot wax).

The top two are actually POST liquid paint sealer and PRE Patriot Wax.

The bottom two are 'done for the day and ran out of sunlight'

Here is the end result, not bad for a 2013 DD with ~40k miles.  Now I have to repeat this same process on three other cars...

No need for anything special for yellow or any color for that matter. Yellow hides any minor imperfections  well, until you have time to correct them. My biggest issue is making sure i get all the wax off, sometimes I think I am all done then find wax a few days later that i missed.

    Hello!
I live in Chandler, AZ and am a brand new Subaru BRZ Limited owner. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have a cute little yellow sports car but here I am. My previous ride was a sweet Honda Odyssey for carpooling. Yes I was that mom and now I am foot loose!

I thought I was doing good to get the mini van to the car wash a few times a year. This idea of detailing is new to me but I want to protect my new baby. So I am here to learn! Can't wait to get to know you all.

Attached is a photo of my baby's first road trip this past weekend.

Love these 4 products and use them religiously for the perfect result every time! Got a little crafty after washing my car the other day and wanted to share this picture. Also, can't forget to give love to the great white towels. They make drying so much easier especially when paired with the detail spray.

Thank you for the wonderful products!

My rule of thumb for H2O Guard is to use it once every 4 or 5 washes or so, or once every 2 months

I wanted to make a wheel shield to help keep the Tire Shine over-spray off my wheels seeing as I have low-profile tires.  I got inspiration from Dan (TheWolf), but I wanted to make something hands-free so it would be easier to apply Tire Shine.

I bought a thin sheet of rubber, measured and cut out the size of my wheel:

I got a rubber seal strip with a lip so it could wedge between the wheel and the tire:

I cut out some triangle pieces so the rubber would bend and adhere easier around the edge of the circle:

I cut another piece of rubber to go under the tire and prevent any over-spray on the floor:

I'm very happy with the result, but even happier that I don't have to clean up the mess on the wheels left by over-spray!

Since the coating has hydrophobic properties the water doesn't beat it, it just flys off.

Heavy Correcting Compound and Correcting Polish do not contain any fillers. The most recent, current version of Finishing Polish contains a small amount of SiO2 to help prep for ceramic coating, but it's not a filler.

Brilliant Glaze does have some fillers, as does Buttery Wax.
