  1. took this photo early this morning, a group of swans were moving toward a group of geese, which then caused them to scurry and fly away.
  2. This might get deleted too, when Adam's Polishes is the one who funds this forum they can do what they want. Coatings have been discussed before and it is highly unlikely they will release one.
  3. I have been only using the microfiber revitalizer as a pre soak and to wash the towels. I think I will try a pre soak with APC instead to see if that helps the situation.
  4. exactly, this alone, asking how others wash their towels like it is some scientific procedure to keep H2O GG towels like new is absurd. I love the finish and gloss of the product, but with products on the market that are similar that require no towels has me wondering why waste the money on the towels.
  5. From the the 2 differeing responses, sounds like it could be an issue with how they are washed, except some of us have tried all different types of washing and still no luck... i did a pre soak wash by hand and then let them sit and presoak overnight and will be washing them today. Until i figure this out I'm not gonna risk wasting any more towels.
  6. It's possible I'm not washing them right... The last few times using H2OGG I have washed by hand to not mix the towels with my other towels being washed. I would make sure they were cleaned to the point where the water dripping out of them was completely clear and no murkiness. Then they would hang dry. The towels have become rough in nature as well compared to my others, kinda like the fibers are dreading together.
  7. This morning I decided to wash a family member's car, a white Cayenne, and after applying the product to one panel and having difficulty just getting the towel that is used to apply the H20GG wet, I decided to give up on the product and quickly resorted to detail spray to dry the car. Yes, I could not get the towel wet by dunking it in a bucket of water. The towels I use with H2OGG have become so hydrophobic they are basically useless now, even for H20GG use. I don't use the product often, I'm only halfway through my 2nd 16oz bottle and my experience in the past has been great, but I can't keep using a product that is going to ruin towels. And I have been hand washing the towels with microfiber revitalizer and brightener each time.
  8. Yes, real chrome is plated. I think he was trying to refer to the various look a like chrome finishes that are not true chromium plated metal, or plastic clear coated chrome.
  9. i polished by hand with a microfiber app as well as the 4" blue metal polishing foam pad with the hand drill adapter.
  10. That would be ideal, but the only way to completely fix it is have the wheel re-chromed, or replaced. If the op left the shop without mentioning the scratches to a manager, or wihtout proof they put the scratches there they more than likely will not do anything.
  11. Chrome is a metal coating. You can use Metal Polish #1 and #2 if it is real chrome, but unlike other metals you should not see any black/gray residue transferring to the towel. The only residue that should transfer is brake dust and dirt. Chrome can be very soft, you should be able to smooth out the scratches and hide them well, but removing them completely may be difficult. The metal polish twins are one of my favorite Adam's products.
  12. love glossy black paint!
  13. Aside from the staining, you want to wash your GG towels separate from other towels so the chemicals don't affect the water absorbency of the towels.
  14. The hand cleaner was just a rebranded Muck Daddy cleaner if you still want to try it out. I don't have any experience with it. It may be an excellent product but when I order from Adam's I'm gonna order stuff to clean my car not my hands... Plus Snap On makes a hand cleaner that is absolutely amazing if your hands get really greasy and grimey after working on my car or bike, stuff is amazing I can't imagine anything being better.
  15. tire and rubber cleaner is becoming one of my favorite products, leaves the tires so clean you could skip dressing them.
  16. Looking good, Brilliant Glaze is definitely one of my favorite Adam's products!
  17. I had a similar issue last year as well using it on my car that is coated. But I did recently try it on another vehicle that is non coated, protected with wax/sealant and I didn't seem to have the issue. The other variable was when I was using it on my car, I wasn't in the shade, so maybe it dries quicker, leaving a film residue on it??? Just a thought as I remember it being a bit finicky when I first tried it.
  18. For me the advantage of LPS between the Glaze and Americana is to add some durability to the protection on the paint. I always use Glaze first cause to me it looks best when applied first. I have yet to use Glaze and Americana by themselves as this was the first time using Americana for me, so I can't comment on how it compares to adding LPS in the mix. After Glaze I waited about 15-20 minutes, and then for LPS I let it cure for a solid hour before applying the Americana. I also only applied one coat of LPS. I don't see much benefit of multiple coats of LPS. Maybe it would make the sealant a bit more durable but you won't see any additional shine. Multiple coats of Glaze could bump up the shine a bit, but with 3 layers of products I don't see any need for multiple coats of any single product.
  19. Yes they stain the towels, and IMO G&G towels need to be washed separately (ideally by hand). When you go to use the drying towel to dry the car without G&G it will not want to absorb the water. You could use the sidekick to blow out the nooks and crannies of the car but ideally you want to leave the car wet and won't want to reapply water for the wet method. Plus the time used for the sidekick will only allow water to dry on the paint.
  20. the borderless gray/orange is probably my favorite towel and can be used for so many things. Rinseless, H2OGG, drying wheels, detail spray, and wax/sealant buffing. I have a set of them that are just used for H20GG, and it is important to wash them by hand imo to not cross contaminate the other towels with H2OGG as it will make the towels repel water. Single softs I like for Wax and Liquid Paint Sealant Removal, as well as detail spray. Double softs I reserve for Brilliant Glaze Triple soft I have yet to use other than to feel the plushness against my face lol. Waterless wash waffle weave towel is great for glass aside from it's intended use. Grey utility is good for door jambs that need a bit more scrub, interior use for grimey areas, plastic trim to knock down VRT, and drying the engine bay. I don't have the Blue Plush Waffle, but looks like it could be good for wheels and door jams where you are looking to be a bit more gentle than the Grey Utility towel. Really the best way to find out what towels you need is to get a wash process down that works for you and integrate the towels where needed. I'm sure some people use a few of every towel when washing and others probably only use 1 or 2 different types of towels.
  21. +1 on the gallon pump for dispensing into 16oz bottles. Quick and mess free.
  22. try a waterless wash waffle weave towel for glass. Waffle weave has worked great for me when the glass towels are too grabby.
  23. Interest in trading for an Adam's Wheel Whoolie?
