  1. I don't like to brag and I don't like bragging that I have a Porsche as I purchased it for myself to enjoy and not to show off. The second I tell someone I have a Porsche, they generally have a different reaction etc. than if I didn't.
  2. In Porsche world, especially when you have a 911, a Cayenne is a truck. I have a crossover suv, and it is the furthest thing from a truck, but it is not a car to me. For me vehicles are cars or trucks without getting specific on what they actually are.
  3. Well, if everyone was limited to 1 mystery box, we would all be entering the MB sale equally and it would be a true mystery to who is a big winner or not, and a mystery on what you would receive. If someone is allowed to buy 10 and others buy just 1 then obviously the guy with 10 is getting the mother lode. If it was limited to 1 box anyone could get the mother lode MB! It is a win win for everyone except for those who want to buy themself a huge prize. And if you only buy a MB cause it's a really good discount, then maybe they should call it, The Huge Discount Sale Where Adam's Picks Your Item's, cause at that point it is not a mystery, especially when there are pre packaged MB's.
  4. 10 mystery boxes is way too many. At that amount you are basically getting the entire Adam's line and then some, what is the mystery in that?
  5. 1 mystery box per customer, obviously when someone buys 10 at once they are going to get the mother lode. One box whether it be $30, $40, or $50, no one person can buy more than 1 box.
  6. It takes a while to absorb, if you are wiping away the product after the first application try letting the vrt sit on the tire before buffing away. you may see that it fully soaks into the tire requiring a 2nd application then.
  7. That bike looks great! Brilliant glaze is awesome on chrome, I normally polish it up first with metal polish.
  8. Less contact is better, I know the urge and feeling you get when you just want to do a touch up, but on black paint you just can't do it.
  9. Did you try applying a 2nd time or even a 3rd? The rubber can soak up the vrt, especially older tires as the rubber will dry out over time allowing to soak up more vrt.
  10. that is a good point about detail spray encapsulating dirt. My thinking is that when drying the car, it should be clean of dirt and the H2OGG provides less resistance against the towel compared to detail spray imo. Seems like h2ogg followed by detail spray may be the way to go!
  11. I actually prefer drying with h2o over just detail spray, I have found it to be less prone to scratching than just detail spray on my black car that has a glass coating as well. Towel drying even with detail spray you had to be so careful. The h2o GG buffs so nicely, and then when you air dry the nooks and crannies of the car, the water wipes up so easy with a GWDT.
  12. Ya really nice color on the Ram, i think the color is Maximum Steel Metallic... Soooo shiny
  13. Detailed a new Ram 1500 that my friend just picked up a few weeks ago. Started with a strip wash with Car Shampoo and APC. APC was also used to clean the wheel wells, tires, and trim. Deep wheel cleaner on the wheels. I used an Adam's older gray clay bar to clay the vehicle with Detail Spray. We then washed the car again, rinsed, and dried with Adam's Great White drying towel. Paint was then protected via sealant. SVRT on tires and trim. Glass Cleaner and Glass sealant on windows. Metal polish #2 on chrome wheels and trim. Liquid Paint Sealant on wheels. Undercarriage spray on wheel wells. Buffing with a borderless gray towel
  14. Detailed a friends new Ram 1500, turned out great...
  15. I use the red pump top on my shampoo bottle, I think I remember Dylan saying back a while that they are a 1/4 oz per pump...
  16. Matt Moreman has a 3 part video series on youtube that goes into great detail of the paint correction process from start to finish. They are a bit long, but lots of information.
  17. You really can't do any serious damage with a cyclo as it is a DA polisher with no forced rotation. Try a small area of your car first with finishing polish and a finishing pad and watch some how-to videos and some research on technique and I bet you'll find out it isn't as hard as you think.
  18. Can I wash them for their first time by hand? or with other towels? I don't want to wash just 2 towels in the machine lol
  19. Ya that is what I was thinking... maybe i can convert him into bringing his own bucket, soap, and wash mitt to a do it yourself car wash. He lives in an apt. complex so that makes it hard at the moment.
  20. A buddy of mine recently picked up a Dodge 1500 in a silver gray metallic, and when he told me he brought it to the car wash the other day I was like no-no. So I offered to help him out detail his new ride to give it some durable protection as I enjoy detailing and just have to much product that needs to be used LOL So my question is it worth it to actually polish it? From what I hear the dodge paint is hard and it is a lighter color metallic and from a quick glance over the paint, it looked to be in good condition with minimal to no visible marring or swirls in the sun. I'm sure under closer inspection it would show that some correction be needed. But The problem is I just don't think my buddy will actually properly wash it over time or as well as someone who spends hours detailing their car on the weekends and I don't want to spend all this extra time if he won't notice or care for a corrected paint surface. So should I just skip polishing and go straight to glaze then sealant? My only concern is after washing the car, I'd like to clay it. I will have to be extra careful to not introduce any marring.
  21. the foam gun could also be purchased for $75 shipped
  22. Looking to trade some products, but prefer to deal locally in northern/central NJ area as shipping costs make the trading almost not worth it. I have for trade: buttery wax detail spray tire shine interior detailer car shampoo Foam Gun - most recent with very little use looking for: brilliant glaze adam's car wash wedge microfiber towels or foam apps
