I had a great experience with Kourtney on the phone today so I thought I would share. I am not an Instagram user but I do stalk the Adam's IG page on occasion... Ok mostly everyday... Matt is sneaky and throws up codes and giveaways over there. Anyway, I saw a code there yesterday for 15% off so I had a cart brewing and then up pops the 20% off chem sale. So here I am with some chemicals and some non chemicals in my cart. I call in and Kourtney takes my call. She was unaware of the 15% code but verified it and proceeded to take my 2 orders, chem and non chem, and then just combined them so they would ship together. I had also added a few items to my non chemical order that I didn't really need trying to get to the $75 free shipping cutoff. I told her this and she said it wouldn't be a problem and removed them for me and still gave me the free shipping since the two orders exceeded the cutoff.

As we have all come to expect from Adam's, the service was great and Kourtney was very pleasant to talk to. Thanks again Kourtney!

One tip for you: clean your Crocs with APC, let dry, then dress with Tire Shine.  Keeps them looking new for months!  All the Minions will be jealous when your yellow shoes smell like bananas!

Issue for me this time of year isn't rain.  It is salt spray from the cars in front of me.

A buddy of mine, Chip, owns a 2006 Honda VTX1800 Motorcycle. The bike has 14,000 miles on it and is due for a new set of tires. He dropped the bike off at the local Honda shop and asked if he could have the wheels back for a few days after they removed the tires.
He's washed the wheels with a pretty caustic cleaner and stained the raw aluminum of the wheels and wanted to see if I could get them back to close to as new. He told me when he went back to pick up the wheels the tech stated he understood why he wanted them back for a few days.
    As delivered Tuesday evening:

These wheels are raw polished aluminum, no clear coat on them at all. I started on them Wednesday late morning. Chip was going to come over in the evening to help, I needed to see what it would take to get these right.
    Rear:

    Pulled the rotor:

    Front:

    Pulled both rotors:

    Nasty:

One quick pass with Adam's Metal Polish #1 in a small section:

Not bad, but it was going to take quite a while. I upped my first step to a more abrasive paste polish, (two passes) then followed that up with two passes of Adam's Metal Polish #1
    Much Better:

Some of the chemical marks remained, but I didn't want to go any further, as the wheels have machine marks on them. I was afraid if I went any more aggressive I'd have started to remove the machine marks.
The Metal Polish #1 was followed up with 2 passes of Adam's Metal Polish #2

Came out real nice, I thought.
    Chip agreed.
Notice my method for applying the polish? I cut an Edgeless Utility towel into quarters. The smaller size fit my hands better, enabling them to get into the tighter areas, and the weave of the towel was perfect for allowing the polish to cut without leaving strike marks in the aluminum.

Once done with the polishing, I applied a nice thin coat of Liquid Paint Sealant, and buffed that off after it had hazed over.
Once Chip showed up I let him do the first pass of each step to the rear wheel, I then followed up with the second pass of each. He was really impressed at how each pass, of each step made a noticeable difference in the appearance of the wheel. The rear came out as nice as the front. He's vowed not to use any caustic on these wheels ever again.

Similar to Dan. This is way more secure than a sharpie. Sharpies are good but they're not 100% permenant. Besides, If I ever decide to create  a special batch, I can just peel this label off, and reprint a new one for 1:2, 1:4, 1:16, whatever, which is possible given all my 32oz dilution bottles are coming in tomorrow

For the OCD crowd, I'm hoping to one day have all my bottles with the red stripe and not the chrome stripe....

    Looking forward to it.

I like that idea. I was just thinking it would be a cheap, easy addition for Adam's some day when they were ordering a round of labels. A little added value to the product without costing the company anything extra.

This was probably what I was going to do. I was also thinking of marking the bottle above the label on the clear section of the bottle.

    Thanks for the replies everybody.

I use a dymo paper label printer (address label size) and cover it with clear tape to waterproof it. I like the labels to be pristine (OCD), so I put these in the blank space of the bottles. I'll add a pic if someone is interested.

Although I too use a label maker to mark my bottles, another option I have used in the past, specifically to All Purpose Cleaner 16 ounce bottles, was to use a Sharpie pen, and mark the dilution ratio on the upper white section of the label.

I would suggest getting a label maker like the Brother P-Touch.  Then you can add whatever info you want to the bottle label.
