  1. I only have one foam gun here at my Southeast Texas headquarters. My father in law now has 5 nozzles. The 1 I sent with my Adam's order to their house, and the 4 he bought.
  2. Jessie, I think you'll mostly get feedback on the Flex 3401 and the Rupes Bigfoot from this crowd. The other two you mentioned are not yet offered by Adam's and those of us that frequent the forum provided free to us by Adam's usually repay that courtesy by not talking about competitors, or products offered by competitors. I will say that there are a few forums out there that have covered this topic from backing plate to power cord several times over. The 3401 is a forced rotation machine. It not only "randomly" orbits, but it also spins no matter what you do with it. It requires a bit more control to keep it under control. Very powerful machine. The Next 3 on your list are all in a similar family .They're all long (more than 8MM) throw machines that randomly orbit and have a free spinning pad. Rules is the original on the long throws so you can't go wrong there. I have a 15 MarkII and LOVE it. it's super smooth and made a great first machine. Reviews on the other 2 you mentioned all say about the same thing.
  3. I got one for my inlaw's house when I work on their vehicles. My Father in Law liked it so much he found him a good deal on 4 of them, so he bought 4 for the rest of his hoses. I picked up another one on my last order, thought was slightly disappointed its showed up black instead of read. But yes, I agree. GREAT nozzle.
  4. I'm with you on the hose going further on the unit. I've not yet had it pop off on me Its a great tool that if you can afford, you should absolutely get!
  5. This has come up in another post. I don't know what the resolution was. I just got my new nozzle (I guess they ran out of red) today and there was a second washer from the old one. I haven't had time to finagle with it to see how I'm going to move it over. I usually take this time to put some teflon tape on all my connections too
  6. I have spray air fresheners from other vendors. They don't last long, they spot if they land on plastic surfaces, and I don't want to run the risk of staining my Alcantra seats. The BEST air freshners I ever used are probably not current VOC law complaint. That was almost 10 years ago though. Came in a little metal canister, can't remember if it was compressed air or pump spray but it produced a VERY fine (atomized?) spritz and the scent lasted almost a full week. My best friend hated it because "your car always has that smell in it!" and I only used it about once a week. I don't doubt that if Adam's released an airfreshner it would be better than others out on the market.
  7. I usually skip the windshield when I do H2O and just go straight for the glass sealant. I probably use glass sealant too often but today in some light rain, I never needed my windshield wipers until I got into the stop and go stuff. Once I got up to 40MPH or greater traffic, windshield wipers just made noise and lines on my windshield that weren't necessary. LOVE glass sealant.

    Sad news...

sorry for the loss Chris. thats why we have these communities. We're more than just a bunch of OCD detailers... we're all human beings and should be able to celebrate accomplishments and help during the down times with items beyond the one thing that unites us.
  9. I keep getting closer and closer to offering up whats left of my gallon on the trade forum..... I only use it for quick wipe downs of the flat surfaces and the dash in between deep cleans.
  10. Something simple like this.... Printed on a nice durable hanger...
  11. Leather Conditioner for ALL of your hard surfaces and leather is a very popular and effective practice. Conditioner will lay down SPF65. I usually do a deep clean every 3 months where I use L&I Cleaner, and then Leather Conditioner over everything. In between those deep cleans I'll use Total Interior Detailer to top off the flat surfaces. I try to avoid using it on the steering wheel. Dont like the way it feels after a few days.
  12. if you have to tell people your the best....
  13. I'll let some of the more patriot experts way in, but since H2O guard and gloss is a sealant I would think you would want that down first and then top with a wax.
  14. Sports Authority is closing stores. Great time to pick up good deals on all kinds of stuff. Unfortunately at the cost of a Colorado business.
  15. I just had my oil changed yesterday. The SA (new to me) was surprised I didn't want their free car wash. Once I explained I just got done polishing all the dealer install swirls out over the last two weekends he kind of understood. When thier "detailer" came to him to ask whose car it was, I think he got it. He was interested in what my Spray wax I was using because he doesn't see beading (it was raining) like that very often in the service lane. And then we got into sealants, and then even coatings.... It was a proud moment for me LOL
  16. Let's not turn this into a bash fest. I think googling CG will net you lots of opinions to form your own.
  17. Welcome. Down in Houston area (The Woodlands!) glad to see some more of our Texas folks showing up on the forums!
  18. After a correction, I apply 2 layers of paint sealant. 1 for shine and 2 because it makes me feel better.
  19. There's a lot of good topics a simple search away on the order of steps. Strip Wash Clay << OPTIONAL WASH >> Correction Polish Finish Polish - This is a preference and how well Correction Polish finished down on your car. Paint Sealant (wait one hour) Paint Sealant (wait one hour) <<OPTIONAL>> Wax of choice.I like buttery wax occasionally because its so easy, has instant gratification and gives me a good 30 minute excuse to go out in the garage after the kids go to bed and think about some stuff.
  20. I believe they are the same foam. Feel the same to me at least. Just color coded to the product. I just ordered a red for paint sealant. I plan on washing my car this week so I can top my fresh coat of Paint Sealant with H2O guard and gloss, and then I plan on following THAT up with some Buttery Wax.
  21. I did my in-laws cars. I had a Winter Daily Driver Kit and Leather Cleaner and Conditioner kit sent to their house since we flew in for the weekend. My mother in laws dodge journey got a nice shampoo and H2O guard and gloss application. Tires cleaned, wheels and fenders cleaned, topped with Tire Shine. My father in law works at a concrete casting plant. His car badly needs a clay, and I'm thinking next time we go, I think we're driving so I'm pretty sure I'm going to bring my polishing kit go to town and see what I can do to really turn it around. Small car, should hopefully go quickly. I didn't have clay and Advanced Auto eluded my schedule before all weekend, so it just got a quick wheel treatment, wash, and H2O guard and gloss. The results on his car speak VOLUMES about the H2O Guard and Gloss product.I regret I didn't get to clay it. this car didn't even sheet water much less bead before I got H2O guard and gloss on it. The biggest WOW of the weekend was the new Wheel Cleaner. I really didnt notice any odor which tells me the new scent is in the right direction, but look what happened to these wheels! Also LOTS of scrubbing with a tire brush and APC on those tires to get them back to black.
  22. I would only use the impression tool on one side before folding. I tried doing the sided approach and I had a harder time folding the clay to get a "clean" section again. I use the geoimpression tool, then use it as a "holder" with the smooth side on the clay. When I'm at the point of feeling like it needs to be folded, I fold over the dirty side and work it, and then use the impression tool again on the flattest clean side. If that makes sense...
  23. I'm a big fan of interior detailer on my dash, and other surfaces. It's not a product I think I'll continue to use between deep cleans/conditioning. The tactile feel a few days after use is a little gummy, but gets better. I have almost a full gallon that I'll probably put over in the trade forum, because 16oz bottles of this would probably be more justified than a gallon thats likely to go bad before I use it all.
  24. You're still using a quality clay there. I've done some side by side testing with the visco clay both with and without the geometric tool.... There was some efficiency gained, but I found myself wanting to refold the clay more often (not a bad thing honestly..) which may have negated the time gained.
