  1. I would NOT add any water to H2O guard and gloss or attempt to dilute. Its a water activated acrylic. I'm going to put a drop on a piece of glass tonight then add a drop of water and just let it sit and see what happens.
  2. Everything you want to know and more about maintaining towels: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27969-faq-how-do-i-take-care-of-my-microfiber-towels/
  3. And we all await for Dan's post where he shows us how he pluses this idea to a level of OCD that many of can only dream of....
  4. Brilliant Glaze from AP.com - 22.50 (24.99 less 10% discount) + 8-9 bucks for shipping if you pick FedEx. Brilliant Glaze from Ebay 19.99+5.99shipping = 25.98 Even with the SHINE ON Discount, if you're ok with the old label, eBay store is cheaper shipped. Let's not get greedy here folks! They still need to make some money to keep the lights on to sell us more shine!
  5. If your interested in one, call the shop on Monday. Might have to pay more than 29.99 though. That was an insanely good deal. You'd have to buttery wax your car twice weekly for a year to use all of that though.
  6. I've thought about using a 16oz bottle label for this purpose.
  7. Paint corrected the roof of the car - woof. and then clayed and paint sealed the rest of it. (hood and deck lid were last weekend )
  8. I dunno how I missed this but I'll jump in because a similar conversation is taking place on another detailing forum. Beading creates an environment for water spots. Water beads. If it isn't removed from the car, it makes a water spot. I could go out in my garage and show you this from an inadverant experiment. the pollen here has been RIDICULOUS this week. I pool rinsed the car last night and had all intentions of doing a waterless but the night got away from me and it just didn't happen. So this morning, I go outside and it looks like it rained on my car in my garage. A full bath is now in order. Another producer of car detailing products has specifically formulated one of their waxes to NOT bead to mitigate water spots.
  9. They probably didn't even notice and drove it over to the swirl-o-matic, grabbed a bristled brush out of a bucket of dirty water and brushed the front and back and hit the green button to push the car through.
  10. You sir, just keep taking it to the next level!
  11. The videos also show a very expedited process as well. I imagine this was to maintain everyone's attention span, but polishing someting as quickly as it was demonstrated in the video would not net the results show. You still need to follow the directions on the bottles for the correct number of passes.
  12. How do I get some 32oz racks like you're 16oz racks? I'm interested.
  13. Chris thanks for providing a reliable and reputable source of energy for our country sir!
  14. I just imported my order history into excel... When you look at it like that, there's really no way I can argue with my wife when she says "it seems you've spent a lot on this new found hobby of yours since September..." I just hope she doesn't do the same thing and run the "Order Total" column. I'm quite proud of my per order average though....
  15. I don't have any fun pictures I CAN show handy, but I work in IT for a Fortune 10 diversified energy manufacturing and logistics company. My group is responsible for collaborative technologies and such. We're responsible for conference room technology, video conferencing, webcasts, video on demand, content distribution, digital signage, live events, etc. I'm currently working on a new headquarters building that we're constructing with 250+ collaborative spaces with technology that my group will be supporting. Last year I started a new global content distribution and management project that is due to go live next month. My background is mostly live-production (audio and video) so I do some volunteering and freelance on the side at some area churches when they have holes that need filled.
  16. Once I have my car properly sealed and keep it topped with H2O, I can generally wash, dry, and "trim" the exterior in about an hour. I'll usually split it up over two nights if I'm doing when I get home. night one, is exterior, night two is interior. My interiors are fewer than my exteriors because I try to keep that neat and current so it never really needs a deep clean. Once a quarter I'll bust out the L&I cleaner and Leather Conditioner.
  17. Dan, I'll caution you on posting links to other vendors, as well as mentioning wholesale pricing, especially since Adam's sells this exact unit except with a 30' hose. I will say that the 30' hose is worth the extra dollars you may spend. I have a Master Blaster Revolution with 30' hose. I can't imagine NOT having the 30' hose with this unit. That being said, I was between the B3-CD and MBR for a long time. I've used my MBR with only one motor which would be equal to the B3-CD and found it to be effective, but the extra 4HP was so worth it! Will the B3-CD move water and well I'm sure. If thats all I had gotten, I would have been satisfied with it.
  18. Nice write up sir. Those bottle labels are pretty fly!
