  1. Had to buff the a pillar and part of the roof on a challenger at work from a balloon leaving scratches. Used a pc 7424 with orange pad and 3m polish, not bad for a one step correction
  2. Cleaned out all the hair from the newest addition
  3. Just recently switched over to being a detailer at the car dealership I work for, before that I did bdc and internet sales for the same dealership. I'm one of the 2 lucky guys that gets to detail the hellkitties and vipers when they come in and are sold, also get to choose what products and supplies I want to be stocked in the detail shop. Still working on getting them to approve a large order of Adams but I keep some of my personal products there for the high end cars. I'm also a college student getting my bachelors in finance.
  4. Gave the new hellcat at work an Adams treatment before going on the showroom
  5. Finally finished up detailing a 2015 wrangler for work after working on it on and off since Friday. I think it spent a full summer at the beach with no doors or top, based on all the sand I dealth with.
  6. The way I have tackled headliners in the past is to spritz some carpet or upholstery cleaner on the headliner, then lightly rub with a microfiber until clean. After a few wipes, you'll learn how much cleaner you need and how much pressure to apply on the headliner.
  7. Learned how much of a mess our dealership's make ready department is. It was a long 12 hour day with seeing so many mistakes/paint damage
  8. Ordered a 16oz bottle and gallon of carpet cleaner
  9. Welcome! Post up some pictures of the Rubicon
  10. I definitely agree. There's a lot of younger car people though in my area, since I'm right by Fort Hood which means tons of soldiers. But that draws a lot of ricers, down right tacky cars due to the younger trends(stance, poke, etc. Bleh!), or hacked together cars. A lot of the well put together cars seem to be from those in the age range you specified.
  11. Late 2014/early 2015 I detailed for a small car lot, and I was washing cars unless the hose was frozen. 4 layers of clothes and gloves were my best friends
  12. It was about $700 more than I was hoping, but the shop threw in upgraded parts and I had them swap the transfer case and differential fluids while it's there. Plus they offer a 3 year/75,000 mile warranty on it too. I'll probably drive it for a week to put some more miles on it(only driven it about 3,000 miles since I bought it last Feb) and get an oil change at work. Then it'll go on craigslist to see if I can sell it during the tax season rush. I just used the dawn first since the Jeep is so old and I figured it would help remove any dressings from over the past 15 or so years. I think I'll end up replacing the flares anyways since they're relatively cheap.
  13. Well $2200 later, the jeep should be back from the transmission shop this coming week. Then I can throw the carpet back in and clean it and the seats
