  1. I love the new GDS. By far one of my favorite products. I love that we are able to apply it to coated or non-coated vehicles.
  2. I’ll agree with you Chris! I haven’t had any problems with any new vehicle I have ever coated!
  3. Hey! Welcome to the forums. The rule of thumb for ceramic coating new paint is to wait for 90 days. The pant needs time to cure and offgas before anything is applied to it. Ive had some good experiences and bad experiences, LOL. I worked on a truck that had a panel repainted 15 days before and things went south with it. A few days later it turned cloudy and looked terrible. I've also had new vehicles come from the dealership and coated within 45 days and things turned out great. If I was in your shoes, I would give it a few weeks to let the paint continue to cure, just use proper wash methods until you get it coated and you should be great! Congrats on the new C8! Ive had a couple of them come through the dealership I work with and they are one of my favorite vehicles.
  4. Hey everyone! Its been a while sense I have been on the forums. I made some good friends off here a few years ago. Excited to be back in and spend some time in here the next year. Here are all 3 of my personal trucks. I have been loving the new graphene detail spray, Excellent shine.
  5. Has anyone had any problems with the speed dial on the 15mm? Ever once in a while it gives me some trouble.
  6. I always need more interior stuff!
  7. The wheel brush and 1 vrt are left!
  8. The revive and sponge are gone.
  9. I received these in mystery boxes and just wont use them! 2-vrt 1-revive 1-foam gun 1-wheel brush 1-microfiber sponge Looking for something of equal value! I'm open to almost anything!
  10. I'm always looking to trade. I have a gallon of detail spray. What are you interested in trading for?
  11. I'm not to happy with mine at all. All the fibers fell out of mine on one side! I'll have to try the red mit and see how like it!
  12. Wow. That looks like it's new again. I haven't had the chance to use the trim coating yet but I'm looking forward to it!
  13. I'm not sure what chemical makes the coating sticky, but adam mentions that in the videos. The ceramic boost is what helps make that super slick finish
  14. Would you be interested in the old formulas of Americana or patriot? Both are pretty full and I got them in spring of 2016
  15. I have some pretty bad build up on a boat that I am detailing. What products can i use in this area to get this off?
  16. I've detailed as a hobby for years and would just charge by the time it would take me to do it, sense i've started using Adam's I have been trying to do more business. I started out cheap around 60 for a full interior and exterior. I had a ton of customers at that price so I increased it to 125 for a full interior and exterior. A very rough estimate is 10 dollars of product on every detail. I have about 4 customers every week at that price and that keeps me pretty busy. I'm in Idaho so I only do it when the weather is nice. My closest competitor (also friend) charges 175 for the similar package. He also does it as a full time job. My higher end competitors charge 300 for the similar package. I also guarantee every detail. I will make it right if they are not satisfied! I've never had an unhappy customer. They are only upset with the price, but they they don't understand the effort that is put in for a high quality detail! Good luck with your business.
  17. I also do a little detailing on the side and at first had the same mindset of just using a cheaper polisher, pc 7424xp. I did about 6 cars with my pc and I still don't think I can feel my hands. I upgraded to the swirl killer and the swirl killer mini 1 month ago and it was the best decision I've made in a while. I was able to finish the correction alot faster and I feel like the quality of the correction turned out a lot better than with my pc. There is very little vibration to the sk as well. I'm also very happy with the mini. I was able to get into a lot more areas easier and I wasn't cleaning extra polish that would get stuck in the cracks when I would try and use the bigger pads. If you have an Instagram and your still debating on what polisher you want Ed Espinosa, edwaxit, (insta name) has a lot of great reviews on polisher on his page. That guy has more polisher than anyone ever should! Hopefully that helps a little! Good luck.
  18. I had the higher quality foam gun for about 1 year and I really enjoyed it. It seemed like it would last forever. I traded it because I bought a foam cannon and didn't need both. If you can justify it enough I would buy the higher quality one or a foam cannon!
  19. I bought both the swirl killer and the mini. I did a full paint correction for a customer and I finally convinced my wife to let me buy all new stuff, but I haven't had the time to work on my personal vehicles much lately. I've been way to busy working on customers vehicles or helping family! I have 2 sister's that are remodeling their houses and I'm trying to finish our basement as well so I've been way to busy!! I love the swirl killer though. It's a huge step up from the porter cable! If your picky about the little areas as well and you can justify buying the mini, it's worth it. I really like the mini as well.
  20. My favorite right now is the H20 G&G. It makes it so nice to dry and you get a very glossy finish with little effort.
  21. Welcome to the forums. I'm from Idaho Falls, Idahor. We seem to be closer than most people on here. I'm buying a swirl killer this next week. I've had a porter cable 7424xp, but I just needed and upgrade. The porter cable seems to do the job but the vibration isn't worth the extra 80 of a swirl killer. As for iron particles in your paint, if you dilute wheel cleaner 1:1 and spray the whole vehicle it cleans the iron particles out. Adam's has some videos on the process that are helpful. I just bought a white 2014 chevy silverado last November an it has a ton of those iron spots on it and I plan on doing a full correction here in a few weeks!
  22. Good to hear that you got it off! I'm waiting for a reply if I totally messed up or if the easy off is an ok product to use
  23. I did this with my dad about 3 years ago.It was for pinstriping that was painted on. We talked to a few professional automotive car painters and they said use easy off oven cleaner. We sprayed it in the bottom of a cup and then we applied it directly to the pinstripe with q-tips. Let it sit until the pinstripe softens and then just wipe it off. I was very worried that it would damage the paint or the clearcoat so I've kept an eye on it and I haven't noticed any damage.
