  1. Hey everyone, I am currently having my ZL1 wrapped in a gloss wrap similar to the attached picture. I currently have been using the graphene soap (is that safe to use on vinyl?) as well as graphene detail as a drying aid (is that also save to use on the gloss vinyl?). I also use the graphene boost occasionally (is that safe to use on vinyl?). I used all of those products mentioned on my ZL1s paint, but now that I am getting it wrapped in the new color, can I use all of those products mentioned above? and how do I prep the vinyl for adding the Adams spray ceramic coating? Another side note, the side skirts a satin black color, will the graphene coating/soap/boost all affect the deptor, or the new wrap color for that matter? Thanks everyone for your help!

  2. Hello everyone, awhile ago i was mentioning i was going to adams ceramic coat my ZL1. I did that and most if not all the mods and adams experts on here repeatedly told me that with a ceramic coated vehicle i would need to use all graphene products from this point forward. Bought all new "graphene adams" maintenance stuff to use on the newly ceramic coated vehicle, but watching a youtube video with Adam himself in it he mentioned something peculiar. He said "i don't care what type of soap of ours you use on a ceramic coated vehicle".....but i thought i needed to use a graphene product from here moving forward? What gives? Why try and sell me on something I wouldn't need?

FWIW, @falcaineer, I agree.  Everything is ceramic coated, so I'm not polishing as often, but I do miss the orange and white combo of Correcting and Finishing Polish.

I don't believe your thread will get enough attention. But this seems to be the sentiment amongst most people using the new stuff. BRING BACK THE OLD!!! I'm on the last couple of bottles as well and after reading some of the reviews, I may look elsewhere to replace these. Not sure why they took a step backwards.

So a good clay with some old school Adams polish with my rotary polisher should bring some pop back and then a topper of graphene detail spray? Does that sound about correct?

Yes you can use H2O as long as it’s the new hybrid product.

Ahh ok got it, so thoughts on my above post i quoted?

No, you should be fine on this.  All but one of my cars is ceramic coated and I top them with a little something something.  You just want to make sure that you are using products intended/safe for ceramic coating use.  I will second what some other people are saying, Graphene detail spray is a good choice.

Since you are new to this, you may want to ensure that your shampoo and other cleaning products are ceramic safe.

Everything I use is Adams, I use Adams shampoo with a foam gun, and Detail spray as a drying aid....am i hindering the shine of the ceramic with those two products?

Graphene DS is what I use.  You want to use LIKE products. Think of it as Ceramics are black and Carnubas are white. When you mix the two together, you get gray.  You don't want gray.  Personally, I'd start with a good clay and polish (that's what brings out the best shine) before applying the Graphene Spray.   But if you like to wax, get the Ceramic Paste Wax and top with the Graphene Detail Spray. I think you'll be impressed.

Wouldn't that remove the already existing ceramic coating? Sorry for my ignorance here, i am new to ceramic coatings and what works with them and what doesn't. And would you consider Brilliant Glaze and H2O GG, in the "don't top ceramic category"?

Have you tried CS3 or Graphene Detail Spray? You can use the as a quick Detailer or as a drying aid. They will both add pop & help maintain your coating.

I have used CS3, was just looking at something that i could use to add even more shine. So would it be safe to say using H2O Guard and Gloss on a ceramic coated vehicle is a no-no as well? Or even Brilliant Glaze is a no-no as well?

  8. Hey everyone, bought a 2020 ZL1 shadow gray metallic about 7 months ago. Previous owner had it ceramic coated drove it for 300 miles and traded it in. I’ve always used adams americana paste wax on all my weekend cruisers, and want to use it on this ZL1 as well. Is it bad to put a topper on the zl1 that is already ceramic coated with Americana paste wax? Previous cars I’ve used it on the paint really popped after the application but none of those were ceramic coated. Thoughts?

A quick update: We're getting close to being caught up with orders at the moment, and hopefully you have noticed processing times are decreasing some! The shipping teams (we have been running two shifts) have made great progress in processing the overwhelming amount of orders that came in, and we're now at 3-5 business days for processing orders rather than 7-10 days. We waited to put up mystery buckets and launch the new Towel & Pad Revitalizer until we started to catch up on orders, so as to not overwhelm the shipping teams even more. The oldest orders in the system right now are at 3 or 4 days old (not counting back ordered items or very large bulk orders of home care items).

We thank everyone for your patience and business! :patriot:

You're getting caught up on ACTUAL car care products?!?!?!?!?!?!

  10. Guess I should have ordered hand sanitizer....I know the situation the last couple of months has been trying on all of us. But good business practice would suggest. If you're wanting to increase revenue by producing a product that is in dire need during times like these, one of which isn't a car care product, you don't forget about the customers that got you to this point to begin with. And if you're expecting bulk orders on something this important.....hire more people ahead of time.....just some thoughts moving forward when trying to produce something outside of what your business is used to.

  11. I've never heard of the 50/50 iso / water mix..... I hope I didn't cause any problems.

    My process:

    -Car shampoo then dry

    -Detail spray / visco clay

    -Revive hand polish

    -Patriot Wax

In between the steps, I didn't do any rinsing, I assume I should have...eek.

I'm going to be going over the car AGAIN this weekend since I left out LPS and just ordered that....is it possible to detail the car too many times in a row? Lol!

don't worry about the 50/50 mix that you said you didn't do....some people are more particular than most....the 50/50 rinse won't affect anything ie: making the shine look better after application etc....

  12. My routine for the (white) daily - strip wash (only prior to when I'm applying polishes, PS and/or full details), clay (prior to polishes, PS, and/or as needed), polish (twice/year, or as needed), PS (minimum twice/year), maintain with HGG every 3-4 washes. Wax applications are your call, and can be done for that extra "pop" of shine. You may even consider a coating of FP this first go to remove any light swirls prior to PS application. If you want more details on the differences in waxes vs. sealants, see here and here for more great info.

Great info everyone I appreciate the help! It is a lighter gray color so it should show some "depth" after all is said and done. With that being said since I don't see many swirl marks if any, after the strip wash is it ok to use a "finishing polish" first and not use the correcting polish? And than follow it with paint sealant etc? Thanks for any help. So the steps would be strip wash, clay bar, finishing polish, paint sealant, than a wax topper? Sound reasonable?
