If I owned a black vehicle, I'd use Patriot. My WS6 is Pewter Metallic, so I use Brilliant Glaze and Americana on it. For my customer's vehicles, I use either Buttery or Americana.

I would have to go with Americana if I could only pick one.

We want to see some pics.

Maybe Trump can do something about the EPA. I vote we bring back Quick Sealant and quit putting all the EPA garbage on diesel trucks.

Nevermind, I figured it out...
Plane ticket: $3500
Hotel (b/c you are in Hawaii, after all): $1500
Can of Adam's Quick Sealant: $20 (ea.)
Feeling of Paying $5K+ for a $20 Adam's Product: Priceless
That's what you call an addiction, alright!
Or you could train that bird in your avatar to fly over there, pick it up, and bring it back.

I think that means it can only be shipped within Hawaii, which does us no good.

Nice and shiny but dang I sure would hate to have to detail that truck every time!!
He hadn't detailed it since he bought it. I wish I'd have taken some before pictures. I'm hoping I'll be his "go-to" guy for all future details.

It wasn't too bad. The weather was great, plus some cold Miller Lites helped.

Quick sealant is incredibly easy to use being an aerosol. It lasts months and is great to us before a road trip - spray it on the front end and bugs just hose off.
It is so good I bought a bunch of cans when I found out it would be discontinued and am down to my last 10 or 11 cans.
Any chance you'd part with 1 can?

Typically, my customer's vehicles get the Buttery Wax while my WS6 gets the Americana treatment. I agree with all of the above though; get the sealant and use that first, then follow with either Buttery or Americana. I apply Brilliant Glaze before a car show or before getting the WS6 out.

I know Adams does not sell this product anymore, but is there a place you can still buy it? I just used up my last can and I really like that stuff.

I may need to order the Merino. Right now, I use the Meguire's wash mitts (have two) and just recently received an Adams wash wedge. I haven't used the wash wedge yet, but it looks like it will work well.

Good to hear. What about working time?
Working time is way better than the old formula. With the old formula, it would start dusting fairly quickly. With the new formula, I worked areas of paint for extended periods of time, and at times, applying a lot of pressure, and I never once had a bad dusting issue. It was much more pleasant to work with than the old formula.

I prefer the shinny look myself, but to each their own.

When I did the paint correction I used correcting polish, finish polish, Revive hand wax, LPS, then brilliant glaze. After my next wash I simply used H2OGG. I'm just not getting the water to bead as well as I see it in the videos.
Can I asked why you used the revive hand wax? If you used correction polish and finishing polish, you could have gone straight to the LPS and then applied a good wax like Americana or Patriot.

I did a paint correction on a Toyota Tundra Monday. I used the Adams orange paint correction polish (new formula) with the orange pad, and the truck came out perfect. I like the new formula much better. There was literally no dusting, which could not be said about the old formula.

Never used the Adams LPS. Always been a fan of the Brilliant Glaze and Americana/Buttery Wax combo. Just recently used H2O Guard and Gloss for the first time. I do like using that on the daily driver and customer's cars.

I just got a bottle last week. Would that have been the "old" or "new"?
-
Just got a shipment of new supplies in yesterday, and one of the things I had ordered is the Americana Wax. I'm no stranger to Americana, and it's all I use on my WS6. I had the really big tub of the old Americana wax, and I still have some left, but figured I'd order some more since I was placing a rather large order. One noticeable difference is the new formula is blue, while the old formula was white. I have not had a chance to use the new Americana yet, but I was curious if anyone can clue me in on what makes the new formula better. Hell, maybe some of you guys actually like the old Americana better.

This is what I'm referring to. This will help protect your paint so that you won't need to go over it with a finishing polish twice a year.

I would say give it a shot. If you don't need quite the cut you'd get from the orange pad, then try the white pad. It's not going to hurt anything. You may come to find out that you do indeed need the orange pad to achieve the level of cut requires to remove all the imperfections.
