  1. As if on queue, I was just looking at family pics earlier today and saw some of a vacation to Gulf Shores. Orange Beach was one of our favorite places to go when we were staioned in AL. Hidden gem.
  2. Actually, to edit my earlier post, I can't let my 14 year old in on using DS, for her iPad or anything else for that matter. As fast as she goes through soap and perfume, I'll be out by the end of the week...
  3. This must've been before I started using Adam's. And before Nathan was born... P.S. That's (probably ) the last age joke, Nathan. Just can't believe you're 14 and seemingly know more than, well, more than you should about this business.
  4. I guess a combo could work best, then. Consider the MF pad can get into corners whereas the hex grip can't. Good luck!
  5. Welcome to the addiction, Matt! Nice ride.
  6. The MF applicator pads are made to use with the PS since all that's needed is an even, thin layer - I'd recommend those between the two choices. Although I'd think since the yellow is soft, it'll work, too. I've also heard the red and yellow basically being the same.
  7. To continue Dustin's inputs above, apply VRT to the plastic and rubber trim after you strip wash, and before clay, polish, etc. It'll make removing any residue a lot easier. Then, at the end, go back and touch up any necessary areas.
  8. Yep, do a strip wash before a detailing session with clay, polish, sealant, etc. You'll want a naked surface to work with before those steps, including before reaplying sealant.
  9. It's therapy, Chris. Looking good! The Adam's banner reflection in the windshield is a nice touch, as is the OCD-esque arrangement/display of bottles on the wall.
  10. I'd offer the 3.5 gallon is great for the following: - Brushes/Wheel Woolie. Fill up the bucket enough to cover the bristles, and they can sit in there between tires/wheels, making it an easy way to carry them and keep grime from your other wash/rinse buckets. - Presoaking towels before a wash. Since the grit guard fits, too, it'll help hold them down in the water. Bottom line, as Chris and Robert mentioned above, it depends on what you're after. Pretty sure you'll find a use for the smaller, 3.5g buckets in your arsenal.
  11. Welcome to the addiction, Will! Nice looking car, love the color. Throw on some Patriot and/or BG and it's gonna POP!
  12. Haven't used it before, but one tip not yet mentioned that I've read elsewhere with using the ON is a little goes a long way.

    Project Vega

Looking forward to the finished product. If this year, only 8 months and counting!
  14. Gotcha. I had a very limited trial with it, but I can vouch that the Cyclo is super smooth. Good luck in your search.
  15. Why, Adam's APC, of course! Go to this link, http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/28827-ask-the-shine-doc-ep-10-cleaning-accessories/, and watch the video shown in the first post. That should set you on the right course.
  16. Hey, Jeff. In case you're interested, Cyclo and PC both just went up for sale on the Garage Sale Forum...
  17. All great thoughts and inputs, Dan! Looks like I need to retire the All and just stick to MRB. Hadnt run a clean cylce prior, either. I guess my whole wash process needs an overhaul!
  18. Same here. After every use. Use MBR, and sometimes add a little All Free & Clear.
  19. I'm thinking of picking up the metal polish, but about my only use would be for the exhaust tips. Whether I'd get one or both is still TBD. What's been your experience with lasting results of either/both polish(es) on your exhaust tips? Is this a monthly thing...quarterly...annually...? While growing (and bank account dwindling ), this is only a hobby for me...no clients...so I'm wondering if investing in something that may not get used all that often, and probably only small amounts at a time, is worth it. Not to mention using Adam's exhaust tip cleaning process has worked pretty well for me. Thanks!
