  1. Nice work. PS will help a lot, but it will only last so long. With as much effort as that took, you might want to strongly consider Wheel Coating next time.
  2. Welcome to the addiction, Sherri! Great to have you along for the shine!
  3. You're welcome, Mat! Get the lab coat, goggles, gloves, booties, etc....or just shorts, t-shirt, and your refreshing beverage of choice ...and get to work! Post some pics when you're done. Something else to consider when it comes to using wax as an "everyday" protectant, especially if your car tends to sit outside a lot, is the color of your vehicle. From your profile pic, it looks like you have a darker colored car. When in the sun, the surface temperature on dark colors can soar, causing the carnuba wax to melt and burn off pretty fast. As mentioned, PS withstands those extremes much better. Bottom line, I highly recommend you read the article I posted above. There are often trade-offs between protection and shine. Then, what you use is up to you. Just go in eyes wide open when making your decision and Adam's won't let you down.
  4. First off, congrats! Now, to the list. Window blinds. Can't stress this one enough. You can get temporary, "retractable" paper ones at HD or Lowes (until Breyanna picks out the permanent ones, that is ). TP. You probably have more bathrooms than you have now, so need more to go around. More Adam's stuff. You have more space, right?! Nice bottle of wine and two glasses to celebrate. I'll add more as they come to me.
  5. Same here. PS, being a mostly synthetic product, tends to have longer lasting protection than (naturally based carnuba) wax. It has a much higher resistance to heat, UV, and detergents, as well. Basically, and especially for a DD, PS adds ideal levels of everyday protection, with the HGG a boost in protection and shine every 4-6 washes. See here for more details: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27631-faq-should-i-use-wax-or-sealant-on-my-car/
  6. Chalk me up as one of the few without an air compressor, then. Sidekick puts out filtered, heated air, with a super strong 1.3hp motor. Heated air dries faster than cooler air...it's physics. Think of the similar concept for clothes dryers - ever have a heating element go out? Simply put, the dryer doesn't work. Small, easy to use, light weight, powerful, rubberized nozels, etc...a lot to like. Add in the current 15% off sale, or even the on-going 10% forum discount, and it's a pretty great deal, in my opinion.
  7. Hearing rumors of a clinic at the HQ coming up soon. Nothing set as of now, but hope to see details soon! (no pun intended, but see what I did there?!) Please make this happen, Adam's!!!
  8. Looks like I need an email with 4 *'s in the address. That's apparently the only people that ever win. Congratulations to the winners!!!
  9. Well, that figures. Doesn't change my odds, though. I don't win anything. Ever. Ask Mommy, Joe. Daddy's busy!
  10. If this thread is an indicator, only 6 of us have entered so far, by my count. And if history is also an indicator, that means you other 5 will win. Good luck to all! Be sure to post a pic when your prize arrives.
  11. That worked. No "www" in the address. Thanks, Dan!
  12. Link didn't work for me. Maybe I'm too young. Oh, wait, that's not the reason. Nathan, have your parents enter for you...
  13. Omni, does the scratch/scratches catch on your fingernail? If so, it may be too deep for your current approach, and possibly for any others short of wet sanding, etc. Also, are you going "all 4 directions" with your polisher? Left, right, forward, back. Go slowly, too.
  14. Don't forget an extra rinse cycle, if your washer is so equipped. Helps get out any last bit of residue. Mat, if you have the funds, get the MRB, and preferably the gallon. It really is worth it.
  15. Adam's thinks of everything. Even their coasters won't cause swirls/scratches.
  16. Guess I can put the air mattress away, huh, Rich? I never heard from Dan.
  17. Removable inserts certainly make this easier. For my cup holders, I use a rag, ID, and some patience/elbow grease to get into the corners. Really, nothing special...but mine are all DDs. For a garage queen, my approach probably wouldn't be enough. Have you considered the Detail Swabs? I haven't used them before, but they look tailor made for this type of thing. I wouldn't be surprised if you've watched the video, but in case not, and for others reading this, check out how Adam uses LIC, the cockpit brush, MF utility towel, Sidekick, and swabs for smaller nooks and crannies in the interior: Let us know if you figure out the magic touch!
  18. First time I remember seeing a count for how much GS usage I should expect to get. Thanks for that little tidbit, Nathan. Other products I haven't yet tried: Triple Soft Towels FP LIC BG (not on the paint; it is on my interior windshield for this reason: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/31733-remove-haze-from-the-inside-of-the-windows), BW Americana Patriot
  19. Someone had a nice Christmas. Happy for you that you finally get a chance to break out the goods! By the way, when did Adam's start selling "trip ash?"
  20. WOW! Beautiful. That color is really gonna pop! Love the red accent stitching, too. Can't wait to see post-Adam's love pics. Hint, hint.
  21. Pretty sure someone warned you about that. Let me check........ This is only the beginning.
