  1. Anyone have the APC eating through your spray bottles and causing leaks? I had a bottle that sprung a small leak out the very bottom of the bottle. Was making a slow mess everywhere. I didn't think much of it and got a new Adam's 16 oz bottle. A week or so later, the new bottle is now leaking out of the bottom making a mess all over the cabinet shelf. Can't be a coincidence.
  2. Some random questions here...drinking a few beers and the mind is wandering, LOL... So, I think maybe I've noticed that I'm not the only one that's had better luck with spray coating than regular coating. Every time I use spray coating, the results are amazing. It just "pops" sooo much better and different from regular coating. Hard to quantify. Thinking about ditching any regular coating and just sticking with that. Which brings up a couple questions... - I couldn't find anything, but seems I recall reading that spray coatings are less "in need" of Boost as say the regular coating is? -After my last results with Boost, I'm ready to ditch it from my arsenal -In need of a refill, and anxious to try it anyways...so I'm thinking about going with spray graphene. Any thoughts or opinions about not using ceramic Boost over graphene spray, and just going with graphene DS as a maintenance product (or CS3 as needed for cleaning)? -I've had amazing luck with ceramic spray coating. The results are spectacular and extremely different from the regular coating. Anyone else had this same result when comparing the two? Do you think the graphene spray will offer the same results?
  3. Ugh. Boost. Does anyone truly, truly love Boost? hahahah! I don't. I tolerate it. I didn't start a thread over it, but I recently ceramic coated my white truck. I have had the most excellent of results with ceramic spray coating on several occasions, so for this last truck detail, my recipe was one coat of normal ceramic coating and one coat of spray coating. Truck came up absolutely gorgeous. I went over it for two days; 50+ hours of cure and inspection time after the spray coating. Not a blemish. Then, against my better judgement, I decided to Boost it. Wrong move. I swear it muted the finished product and left a streaky blotchy mess (OK, maybe not that dramatic, but certainly visible to the trained eye). Still regretting my decision, and I won't do it again. I think I'm removing Boost from my inventory after this last episode. I have also found that Boost does not like warmer temps either. Even if you're in complete shade.
  4. Yup...that works too. I've done that a few times. Main point being, store with the original cap. I've got sooooo many sprayer nozzles from Adam's built up from shipments over the years that it's literally not worth my time to clean one, LOL!
  5. Not may, will. After using any coating, remove the sprayer and trash it, and store it with the original cap.
  6. Sure. And you are correct. My hang up is not about the compatibility of the product, but to not rub on the paint any more than necessary. It’s just an unnecessary step on a coated car IMO. Nothing more.
  7. But here’s a question...BG removed any trace of the UV qualities; would that not imply it removes the coating?
  8. I’ve stated this before, but I’ve always been confused why anyone uses or need a drying aid on a ceramic coated vehicle. When I sheet the water off mine after a wash, there’s nothing left to dry. You end up doing more rubbing and touching the paint to remove the drying aid than you do touching up whatever water may be sitting around. only thing I can think of is folks are not sheeting the water off after they’re done washing. if you’re not already used to ceramics, I think you’re gonna be surprised by how little water is left on the surface.
  9. So I personally have had absolutely amazing luck with the ceramic spray coating. I have used it three times now (three different vehicles) and the results have been spectacular. With the spray coating, I just get this "pop" from the paint that I can't describe. It just looks deeper and richer. And yes, I am saying this happens when compared to regular ceramic coating -- there is clearly a difference in appearance between the two products. Thus, my personal recipe is (starting with perfect paint obviously) one layer of ceramic coating followed by one layer of spray ceramic coating. I'm sure the only way to find out is to try it, but I am extremely extremely curious to see if the graphine spray is going to have that same results/effects!
  10. I’ll trade you a gallon of H2O G&G for the C&C detail sprays, the In & Out Cans, and the Tire & Rubber Cleaner. ...disregard...I see you’re already trying to get rid of some of that.
  11. I’ll give that a try. It just threw me off as I wasn’t expecting to see anything at all once buffed down. Thanks guys.
  12. White F150. 2002. One owner. Paint is excellent. I know this pic isn’t the right light or angle to capture the paint itself, but trust me, the orange on a white pad was the magic trick for this paint. And I did run back over it real quick with Finishing Polish also on a white pad, but this was more of a placebo for my OCD than anything. But it did clean it up just a tiny tad, but you as to really concentrate to see it. And yes, I also know that perfect is the enemy of good, not evil, LOL.
  13. Two. Thanks for the info. Just making sure I was reading the light right. I misunderstood the way the UV works, apparently.
  14. Not new to ceramic coating, but applying the UV one for the first time. This pic is taken AFTER it flashed and was buffed down. Under the light, you cannot discern a difference from an already coated and buffed section from a wet/applied/not buffed yet section. They look the same. I was under the impression once buffed down, you couldn’t see anything under the light. I see streaks and tracks like crazy from the application. What am I missing? No, cannot see anything once done. No high spots or anything. Something of interest though...I went over a little test spot on a completed section with brilliant glaze and it completely removes all the streaks!
  15. Thanks Ray. I have some one step I could try also, but I know that should even be more aggressive than the orange correcting polish. And that’s what I did yesterday; multiple test spots. Dare I say it, but I’d even compare the orange correcting polish on a white pad to Meguiars 205....which is arguably the benchmark of polishing.
  16. Well, strike two for me on the new Polish. My truck is in excellent shape, but I wanted to put down new ceramic this year. Figured once over with Polish on a white pad would be the perfect recipe. Nope. Couldn’t figure it out at first, but the finish just wasn’t finishing out like I wanted it to. Got pretty aggravating. Once I figured it out, I could go back over the new Polish with the old, orange Correcting Polish and that would actually finish down better. Long story short, the best combo with the best finish was Correcting Polish on a new flat, white pad. Darn near perfect. The only thing that made it better was using the old Finishing Polish. But I don’t have enough to do the whole thing. But yeah, the new Polish just isn’t for me. I did have good luck with the new Compound in a few spots that needed just a bit of correcting. But That required once over with something else behind it; either Polish or Correcting Polish. The Compound is no where near fine enough to be left as the last step. It needs further correcting, but you’d expect that. I know everyone had different luck with different products, and the surface is a big player too, but it looks like the new Polish is gonna leave a big gap for me, unfortunately.
  17. Looks great, and yeah, I agree. I’m on the fence. Have plenty of ceramic coating at home to use. But if the gloss and shine of the graphine are better, then it’s worth the cost to me.
  18. And if you have any orange Correcting Polish, I’ll take that off your hands too.
  19. Anyone got any of the older Finishing Polish in the White bottle available??? Need some! Let’s talk.
  20. Dan...since you've done a vehicle with graphing already...how's the finish? How is this product from ONLY a finish/shine/depth perspective when compared to ceramic?
  21. I haven't done a completely wrapped car, but my stripes are vinyl. All things are the same across the stripes. I treat them just like paint and have had the same results as on the paint.
