Do we have a spray wax?
Nathan replied to DCRANER's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
To clear up confusion Detail Spray is a quick detailer not a spray wax. It has a small carnuba additive that adds very light protection, it is really just a wax booster and shine enhancer, not a spray wax. I’d say the closet thing to spray wax that Adams has is ceramic boost or H20 guard and gloss. -
Giving up on the merino mitt
Nathan replied to hemi1300's question in Towels, Brushes, & Accessories
I loved that Mitt, 5 star review, it really got in the nooks and crannies really well and it was so soft!! Unfortunately they didn’t hold up too well for me. Now I use the red mitt, works great, especially for dirtier cars. -
A Week Between Prep & Coating.
Nathan replied to galaxy's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I would be sure to tell the customer not to run the vehicle through an automatic car wash or to attempt washing it themselves. I would also take extra care into making sure when you wash it, it is an extremely safe wash so you don’t reinstall swirls or any type of marring. -
Baked On Bird Poop
Nathan replied to strine56's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Like others said, spray WW or DS, soak, spray more, wipe. Although if it is baked on I would use a hose. But get that stuff off right away!! It will eat through the paint!! -
Worx 20v. Power Cleaner+13.5 oz. Soap Mix Container???
Nathan replied to Reptile's topic in New Member Check-In
Those soap containers don’t work anywhere near as good as a foam cannon! -
Be careful with the edges, don’t get any product in there, or it will lift the clear bra. Unlike the common belief, they can be clayed, be sure to be careful though and make sure to clay in the direction away from the clear bra. I have polished them but it doesn’t work very well, I would use something like the revive hand polish. You can ceramic coat, seal, glaze, and wax them, but again, don’t get product in the edges. With the pad, go from the clear bra, over the edge, onto the paint, so you don’t get product in the edges. You could also just get really close but not touch the edges. When using these techniques, be sure not to have a glob or product on the pad.

New Car Prep
Nathan replied to Wy_detailing's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
100% agree with Joe. The trim coating is awesome on rubber mats! Also, I tried H20 guard once on truck wheel wells, it was very hard, I would try the trim coating. Others have done it and had great success. -
First Timer from Wash to Wax
Nathan replied to dpeck's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
If I think what you mean no. Here, I will walk you through it. First, you put the white foam pad onto your machine, then you put 3 drops of the white finishing polish onto the white foam pad. I would also spray a shot of detail spray into the pad. Next, with the machine off, take the machine, with the pad attached to it, rub the pad over the panel that you are working on. You do this so when you start the machine product doesn't sling everywhere! Now, put the machine on the paint, at about speed 4, turn it on. This is a finishing polish so it really doesn't need long passes, they can be quicker. Just go up and down across the panel, and then left and right across the panel. Don't hold the machine in one spot for a long time, once you are done polishing turn off the machine, set it somewhere where the pad won't get contaminated. Now, all you have to do is take a polishing towel (I prefer Adams double soft towel, it really soaks up the compounds, polishes, waxes, and sealants well.) Take the towel and wipe off the residue. If any is hard to get off just spray a shot of detail spray and keep going! After you are done you have to protect the finish with something, I recommend a sealant. Good luck! I am talking about using the finishing polish (white). I am not talking about the revive hand polish (blue). -
Sticky steering wheel. Need an assist
Nathan replied to 8675309'SS's question in Interior Cleaning & Care
If you have steam that would be the way to go for sure, I think though a few of those interior plastics get like that and interior detailer wouldn’t be a bad idea! Oh, and the APC is what I would try if interior detailer doesn’t work. -
First Timer from Wash to Wax
Nathan replied to dpeck's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Looks good, but If you don’t have any swirls and just want the paint to look good use Adam’s finishing polish with the white foam pad! -
Couldn't have said it better myself. Local Facebook groups and word of mouth is how I get most of my customers.
-
Use the products and pads that are designed for the machine, Adam’s new compounds and polishes are really good. The correcting polish has almost no dust which is awesome!

Headlight progress
Nathan replied to MrRaspberryJam's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Use more product and make sure the microfiber on the pad is not matted down, you will need to brush it back up so the pad cuts effectively. Make sure you protect those headlights afterwords with spray on clear, a ceramic coating, or at least a sealant. -

You can use all Adam’s compounds and polishes on gel coat. Gel coat is hard to work with because it is very thick and tough, that being said, it is hard to burn through as well. You will want the correcting compound. Good luck! Swirl Finder Flashlight
Nathan replied to Rich's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Turn all the lights off and use the flashlight in the dark, it really brings out all the swirls. -
I was going to say, isn’t the “deep clean eraser” just a magic eraser?
