  1. Sounds good and thank you, i did not start off with a test area, i guess the whole hood became my test haha
  2. I appologize if this is not a good question for this thread. BUT... Im a newbie when it comes to DA's. I corrected only my hood yesterday (2016Tahoe) It was my first time ever using my DA, that I've had for a few months. Its a GG 6". I used a 5" backing plat with 5.5" pads, 1 was GG pad, 2 were Adams. And I used their correcting cream. And i also tried some compound i had laying around. Anyways, its a new truck, had typical dealer swirl marks. It took me 2 hours to get 90% of them out. Is that normal? It was my first ever, and I was getting frustrated. Just looking for advice, because I constantly had to keep going over the same areas. I was working in 2'x2' areas in cross hatch patterns.
  3. OCD, got ya, haha, i almost felt really bad for you at first. Anyways, they are both new to me, and from what i see and hear they are both real good. So i just wanted to see how things go, for future reference. Also to see which i should use on the wifes car, which is always outside and hasnt been washed in a year or 2, i will be doing a full correction and detail on it soon. The thing is, with all this new technology, i have like 5 bottles of barely used spray waxes laying around, that i never use.
  4. Awesome! Gorgeous weather we had these last couple days!
  5. Welcome, and true story, i ask myself the same about the towels!
  6. I forgot the wheels yesterday, so I did those today, accordingly. Also ran an errand today, and dust sticks to the Tahoe, like any other day. (No rain yet)
  7. My first ever paint correction! Took a few hours...and I only did the hood ???? Its about 90% better, its hard to get the "throat" of the hood, in the center where it meets the windshield, even with a ladder. Afterwards I sealed it H2OGG, then glazed it, and topped with Collinite 845. On a side note, the adams pads are better than the griots.
  8. Absolutely! I also split the tailgate in half with the 2 products. No problem, and thank you!
  9. Okay, sorry for lack of pictures, I'll grab more tomorrow. Box came in today, i waterless washed the entire tahoe, Ceramic Boost applied to passamger side and H2OGG applied to driver side. Ceramic Boost, the label says use a lot! my first panel is used 2 sprays, it went on easy and buffed easy. But didnt seem right, I'm thinking, "is this enough protection?" Next panel i did 3 sprays, it streaked a little, had to buff a little more, 3rd panel, 3 sprays, little more streaking, i get it, my towel is filling up. Overall, super easy to apply, and takes a minute or two to buff off. It seemed the more you buff, the softer/slicker the surface becomes. H2OGG, i wet the vehicle good with a water bottle, sprayed the product, spread with wet towel, buffed with dry towel, easy on, easy off. Both were pretty easy to work with, the GG feels a little slicker on the paint, i think we are expecting rain next week, that will be the true test. Pic is Cermaic Boost side of vehicle
  10. Approx 300 miles, slight rain, wet roads, and 7 days later, this is how tire shine looks for me...
  11. Congrats on the house! I Applied ceramic boost, for my first time, as a sealant. (No coating on vehicle)
  12. Sweet, I ordered the glass boost too, along with Ceramic Boost, GnG, some pads, tires shine, stickers, and waterless, to compare to my diluted rinseless.
  13. My boost is in the mail! Has anyone tried it as a drying aid? I thought silica was water activated? Just trying to get as much info as possible.
  14. Looks great, I'm about to order H2OGG, so Im curious if that is the only protection on your vehicle or do you have another sealant or wax under it?
  15. ????????????????????????????????
  16. Gotcha and thank you, after I posted I was wondering if i cleaned them so well they were back to new shine, haha Thats awesome! I love cooking, but i keep it in the family, they love my ribs! Keep up the good work!
  17. Cleaned the ol girl up for the first time with Adams wash n wax. Attempted to clean the tires which I believe was a failed attempt...the first two pictures are the clean tires they still appear to have your VRT in the grooves. The last two pictures are the tires with tire shine on them If you all can provide any help on getting my tires cleaner please do so this is what I did to clean them tonight i scrubbed and scrubbed til i thought my arm was going to fall off and i couldnt get the old VRT off. How do you folks accomplish this?? The first 2 pics are after i cleaned my tires with 10 ounces of tire and rubber cleaner, at least 10 ounces of all purpose cleaner, about 20 ounces of purple power degreaser and two different brushes one very stiff brush and one softer wheel and wheel well style brush. I spent about an hour on all four tires.
  18. Cleaned the monster up this evening with my new Adams WASH N WAX! So first i will ask a question, because i scrubbed and scrubbed til i thought my arm was going to fall off and i couldnt get the old VRT off. Then i used a good bit of tire shine, applied as Adam instructs, and worked it in. Went back an hour later and sure as you know what, it was dry to the touch! The 3rd and 4th pic are the after clean and tire shine was applied.
  19. Im also about to purchase both products for the first time and try them on wheels and various other places
  20. It is in my shopping cart along with over $100 of other great items! Today was a good sell point, because I just "buttery waxed" the lower panels of my vehicle 2 days ago, and didn't drive it until today. I drove it to work on wet roads, then it poured for an hour at work, then the sun came out, pictured are the lower panels, the dirt comes off real easily(as you can see my finger mark, in which i applied zero pressure) but its still stuck on where I just waxed, and to me it's annoying and its a black vehicle 'THING' so I want me some silica! I just got my wash and wax in the other day but haven't tried it yet, so maybe tomorrow! I've heard so many great things about it! EDIT- the tailgate is just as bad. However the hood and upper side panels are practically clean, and would just need some detail spray, I dont even think they would need waterless or rinseless, they are so clean.
  21. Thats incredible, thanks for the update, probably going to buy it soon. If you get any other pics, would love to see.
  22. When i bough my new chevy they offered me a $500 deal, to rain x everything inside and seal the exterior which would last forever, so glad I didnt! Sorry i cant help in your situation, but perhaps take it back and tell them to strip it off and refund you, and threaten to the return the car, maybe they'll step it up a little.
  23. Great info and all makes sense, i will let ya know, placing an order soon.
