Nickfire20 replied to Team Adam's's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Can you use GG as a drying aid, then use paint sealant, and still get 6 months out of it? -

Do I Coat the Kid's SUV?
Nickfire20 replied to falcaineer's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I've never done a coating, so I may be a little biased. Im thinking if he is taking this in woods and off roads, the coating may get scratched, and im thinking that would be a bigger pain in the rear. Soooo Im thinking paint sealant, and GG each time he visits. -
What kind of night sights on the G43? Also you mentioned upgraded trigger, what does that do for you? The reason i ask, is because i have a tendency to shoot low with my 43(and im sure its an obvious reason, im trying to push the recoil away).

Did you say detailer in the rinse? -
While i am working with my experiments, this is my first time using Boost or anything like it. Can I use diluted rinsless and detail spray over top of it without taking any properties away from the Ceramic Boost?

Mine smells fantastic, but it only last for a day or 2 in the car, then my new car smell takes back over ????☺

Very cool. My buddy has that same pstol. I have 2 glocks. G23 (which is a compact .40 probably similar to yours, holds 13+1) and a G43 (super mini .9, holds 6+1) Also have 2 shotguns and 2 Ar's. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I'm with you, ever since I discovered Adams thats all i use and buy, so now i have at least 20bottles from other companies sitting around! I liked VRT on my tires, but it eventually wore off, and with rain it practically vanished. I tried this tire shine in a sample box I had got off the website, and really liked it, so I gave in to the 16oz bottle

2 week update... After exactly 2 weeks(14 days), which consisted of 8 days of work and errands for a total of about 600miles. No bucket car washing, some light rain driving, wet road driving, days of direct sunlight, garage kept nights and weekends. This is what Adams "Banana" Tire Shine looks like.

Matte vs Waterless vs Rinseless
Nickfire20 replied to Sump's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I am not sure about the Matte. I have both rinseless and waterless. I love rinseless soo much better! I use the rinseless 16:1. It works great. Lossens bugs, bird bombs etc... -
A huge step to my collection
Nickfire20 replied to Last_cast's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Great stuff, need more pics when you pull it all out! My pics were doing that for a while to, no idea why, i would delete them, then edit the picture, spin it around a full360, then save it, re post it. It worked fine. Only happened Twice. -
The sides of my tahoe have never been horrible, the rear tailgate is real bad though. But no, no change at all, still plenty of dust and crap! Roads were dry when I left work, and the forecast is looking dry as well...

That stinks!!! But i will get them once we get more foul weather, i kinda want it, but i love having a shiny car at The same time, its a catch 22.

Remove or not
Nickfire20 replied to H enriquez's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
To my knowledge, sealant adheres best directly to the paint surface. It will work, but not for the intended duration of the product, if you place it over top of a wax. Edit-Apparently Dan hit the post button a few seconds before me -
Got some rain while the Tahoe sat at work today. First shot is beading of the GG side Second pic is Ceramic Boost side(as stand alone)

Chrome Wheels What to keep them Shiny
Nickfire20 replied to Southern Car Parts's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
I hope i dont sound like an idiot, but im not sure what ss rims are. I will say that on both of my tahoe's that i have had, the chrome looking wheels are clear coated. So you would use clay bar, paint polish and whatever style paint protection works for you(wax is not good on wheels, doesnt last because of the heat). You def dont want to use metal polish if they are clear coated. If they are true aluminum or what not, spend a lot of time polishing them, make them perfect and i would coat them, because true aluminum needs constant upkeep. I do the fire truck's wheels at work, and it takes about an hour per wheel, and thats if they are in good shape, but they come out looking like mirrors!
