Not to sound like a fanboy here, but your leaving out some other phones in that comparison that are great phones, the Blaq phone while overpriced is very unsuceptable to those problems.

Then you also have Blackberry which has been a premier phone company in the world for security.

I like the M9.  It is my first smart phone, so I only have my wife's iPhone to compare it to.  I spoke to a couple of android user's at work and one had the M7.  I choose the M9 over the Samsung.

My wife was the first one of our family to upgrade to a smart phone, and they recommended the iPhone, and it was probably the best choice for her.  My son has a Macbook Pro, and choose an iPhone 6 when he upgraded.  I don't have any other Apple devices, and I am a programmer, so slightly less user-friendly android was fine for me.
My problem with Apple is they kind of 'coddle' you, and do lots of thinking for you, which makes their phones a little easier to use.  But then you are down the path with all their products, and if they decide to make a change you don't like, you are stuck with it. Which kind of goes back to the removable device storage....why can't Apple allow you to have that?  Because they want you to use their cloud.

This is why I love my BlackBerry, all the onboard storage and easily removable cards.

For work I have a galaxy S6 and there is no place to put one in there either.

DieselDude reacted to pirahnah3 in How did you come to use Adams?
Started out with the typical local parts store sale finds Armor all, turtle wax, and such, always thought they were good enough. Got into the car club scene and realized that i wanted some more out of the products, moved up into the megs and mothers lines at the store and thought hey these are better. Then I started to go to some larger shows and with much nicer cars. Finding out that most are NOT new paint as one always thinks or that people spend days cleaning them I again wondered how. Then one year at Carlisle I was introduced to Adams with a FREE 4oz detail spray and micro fiber cloth via a mod for a very large car club. Got into it there, wow the stuff was awesome, and smelled good enough to drink. Didnt get into the line there thou, saw some of the prices and well my lowly job paycheck couldnt afford that, not for my daily driver, maybe some day. Several vehicles and some time later the job has improved, along with the wallet, and the vehicle as well.

I used it for the first time yesterday after getting it in a mystery box.  What a difference, it's pretty cool stuff. my wheel wells, mudflaps, frame, etc all coated. Had to put some cardboard underneath to contain the drips, and I got some streaking, but my tires throw so much crap up into the wheel wells anyway it won't matter. Looks like I just painted everything black.

I know who you are talking about I meet him at a diesel truck event I attended.   I will remember that and stop by the show (next year).  I have been exploring Downtown Bristol more since my office is now in Bristol.

Sure!  It takes no time at all with just one Adam's ornament on each tree.

    You know it!

LOL, she was at work, and when she got home I told her that I finished decorating the tree!

Of course she looked at me like I was crazy, since her Christmas decorating is on-par with my detailing obsession!

But, the Adam's ornament will remain in a place of prominence on the tree, or her Jeep won't get washed for a year!

    THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS
    Details, Details, Details

Not everyone is going to take the time to do some of the extra steps, and not every vehicle may warrant the extra time spent.  I will include some of my reasons and thoughts for the way I have chosen to accomplish the detailing, while trying to eliminate or minimize any potential damage to the paint.  Even though this truck is a daily driver, I want to keep the paint in good shape, and only do paint correction in the spring.

Any time that I am going to apply a product to the paint with a machine or even by hand, I always want to make sure the surfaces are super-clean.  A stray bit of dirt hiding out in a crack or along some trim can get picked up in the applicator or towel, and cause scratches in the paint.

A good rinse after the wash and before claying is important.  Washing with the wedge or a pad does not remove all the dirt, most just gets loosened up and is encapsulated by the lubricants in the shampoo.  This means there is still dirt on the vehicle, so rinsing all this away before claying also prevents scratches.

Using Detail Spray on a wet vehicle requires a good deal more product to prevent water spots while you are working, and also to provide adequate lubrication to the clay bar, since the water remaining on the surfaces dilutes the Detail Spray.  If you are looking to save some product, do a quick dry and then use just enough Detail Spray to lubricate the surface.

After claying, I use a rinse then a strip wash to remove the residue.  The clay bar is not magic, it does not remove all of the contaminates from the surface.  A good portion of the bonded contaminates will stick to the clay bar, but some and possibly a lot can just get knocked loose by the clay and remain on the surface.  If you then removed the residue with a towel, these containments could possibly scratch the paint.  With a machine, any loose contaminates on the surface can get into the pad and cause a lot of damage.  For me, a quick rinse and wash is cheap insurance, and takes much less time than polishing out damage to the paint.  This is also why I waited until the second wash to clean the nooks and crannies with the Trim Brush, since the clay residue is going to get into these areas and leave some contaminates.

For the sealing, I did the glass first to make it easier to remove any overspray or other products.  I sealed the trim and other plastics next, to ensure that any accidental bumps from the Liquid Paint Sealant did not result in staining.

Since Quick Sealant has been discontinued, if you don't have any you could use Super VRT to protect the trim and plastics.  Since the Super VRT only provides short-term protection, add some longer lasting protection to these surfaces with the H2O Guard & Gloss after a few washes.

All of the sealants will bond better to clean paint, so making sure the surfaces are free of any residue from claying and any polishing will provide more longevity to the protection.

Make every effort to keep the Liquid Paint Sealant off the trim and plastics.  Being a darker product, it may not be very noticeable at first, but after a few weeks any residue will dry out and become much lighter in color.  Same is true for the edges of vinyl.  While this product can be applied to gloss vinyl (do not use on matte vinyl), do not allow the product to build up on the edges, as it will eventually dry out and look bad.  If you are going to use it on gloss vinyl, apply by hand and wipe on and wipe off in the same direction of the edge, rather than back and forth across the edge, to reduce build-up.

    Hey Chas,

Carrier does make a top notch product.  If the whole system is 20 years old put in the back of your mind to update the system in a couple of years.  When my neighbor replaced his system which was around 28 years (the amps the compressor was using went half).  I tell people to go with Performance Series and get the highest rated single stage compressor model.  Why that is single stage compressor is half the price of two stage compressor (when I put my system in five years ago).

The only thing I could think of the 90 Amp is that he is adding up the whole usage for the indoor unit.  Just looking at your pic it appears that your indoor unit (is electrical not gas or oil).  Look at your electrical panel if it is well labeled (see if any is labeled).   How many breakers do you have for the system?

The system that I have has two double pole just for the indoor unit (one for the unit and the other for the electrical heat - used during defrost or you turn your thermostat to Aux or Emergency depending on the type of thermostat that you have).  If you have one double pole breaker for the indoor unit and that is a smaller amp that is your problem when the electrical heat comes on when called for). The electrical heat inside the inside unit is what will take the most amps because it does not take many amps to just run the fan.

    My Carrier System
    60 Amp (Indoor Unit)
    30 Amp (Indoor Unit)
    40 Amp (Outdoor Unit)

I hope I made sense with this long post I could go into more details if needed.

Wow that is really some draw on that.

After doing a little research it appears that it also has a capacitor start blower motor. I would look at that motor and associated capacitor(s) your tech should be able to help you there, I would certainly hold on replacing the breaker at the moment there is a lot it appears that can effect this. While 90amp does not seem out of the ballpark at this point judging by that label it seems strange that its just a breaker issue.

On a separate note, is it all fed from one breaker or are there multiple ones feeding this unit (not sure if the motor feeds off of the main power to the unit or if it was wired separately) I am assuming that the motor was wired into the main board and is drawing off of the main power supply which could be overdrawing something in the unit or have a fault in the motor/capacitor that is tripping on a ground fault type condition.

Again alot of potential problems that you should have a trained tech look at. Carrier makes a great unit and also has decent support but as this is an older unit (Appears to be from around 1997) there can be help had online for it as well.

First look at what your budget can afford and buy the best that you can afford.

What I hear MetroVacs are great. I had one where I worked before to clean computer equipment.

I personally use the central cleaning system that is in my house.  The unit has twin motors and the exhaust goes directly to the outside (which allows me to not have any dust from the machine indoors).   The unit is located in my basement and I do not hear it in my garage when it runs.
