  1. yes. skid steer tires would be great on a jeep thats driven on pavement daily.
  2. if youre going to wheel your jeep hard, then id suggest the nittos. i havent had a single hiccup with mine over all kinds of nasty sharp rocks, desert washes and slick rock, mud etc.
  3. the nittos have been great - but they are extremely heavy. what vehicle are you putting them on? if you arent going to offroad much - but want the mud tire look - the bfg km2s are virtually unstoppable when they are siped. i could care less about the crud. thousands of branches scraping across the paint though?..........
  4. Did a few more things today. DRLs - activated by the dealer Also had new wheels and tires put on - KMC XD125 17x9 +18 offset w/ Goodyear MTR-Kevlars 315/70r17. New license plate And some good ol' Galactic Empire decals
  5. sweet - might be the last time it ever looks that organized!!
  6. gotcha. i dont like the molded ones - good thing is no one makes them for the raptor. im looking at the raptor specific (just a logo) flaps from proven design products. seem pretty popular amongst the raptor brethren. they have some for the chevys
  7. what kind of vehicle? and what kind of flaps?
  8. Buddy of mine took me out today for my trucks maiden voyage on a decent offroad trail. Hit up a spot outside of tucson, az that ended in mammoth, az. good mix of slow climbs and technical sections and all out sandy wash running. had a damn good time - took a while to get used to the width of the raptor compared to the jeep im used to wheeling, but caught on quick and before i knew it was running 70 in the wash like it was nothing. on to the pics! on the way home got behind another white raptor - a scab this time.. all in all - had a great day. also figured out that im gonna have to get mudflaps, despite how much i hate them. all i heard today was the sound of rocks and pebbles beating away at the paint, bottom of the steps, and the entire bottom of the truck - evident in the vid. cant wait to get out again!!
  9. thanks - they are hid projectors from hidprojectors.com - i wasnt comfortable with doing a retrofit myself. i had both versions of the trucklites and they sucked. these are on par with the hids in my wifes benz gl550.
  10. two years seems optimistic - most times these projects are never done.
  11. had to show the jeep a little love today and tried out the new product i got - guy up in BC makes these - magnetic vinyl covered panels designed to protect the paint on trail rides where the jeep doors and such would get pinstriped and scratched heavily. think they look cool. they will definitely serve their purpose
  12. decided to break up the gray of the grille/lights a little bit. just a subtle change with black satin vinyl. had a local place do it. also had them put some clear paint protection film on the painted space between the door sill and the running board to prevent that painted area from getting too beat up.
  13. the paint of my new raptor is effed. i think they washed it at the dealer with steel wool and fast orange. the front fenders were the worst, and three passes with the new microfiber pads and compounds barely made a dent in the scratches/spiderwebs/swirls/holograms. figure im gonna offroad the truck - its going to see its share of dirt and branches, so i'll be polishing more than enough to make a small dent every time.
  14. mine was a little different. Zaino. the fact that it didnt last and it was a lot of work to get the results i wanted. bought an entire kit with a pc from adams and it was all over from there.
  15. im running it off one of the upfitter switches. had the same setup on my f250. worked fine. all the switches are fused and relayed, so theres no issues.
  16. spent some quality time up at Addictive Desert Designs today - venom series front/rear bumpers with rigid 20" combo e-series and 60* diffused duallys respectively, and their rear brace/bumpstop kit with fox bumpstops and custom deaver leafs. only have pics of the bumpers now - once i get the truck cleaned up i'll post up some better ones.
  17. im not that fortunate to have cooperative dealers here in tucson. theres a guy (5 star) that comes highly recommended on the raptor forums - i might just give in and get a programmer.
  18. line-x - dont think doing the wheels wells helps with road noise. i have my entire hard top on my jeep done inside and out and there was only a slight reduction in noise. you'd be better off dynomating the entire inside of the cab - roof, back wall, floor, and doors to get a good reduction in noise. aww. i am so happy you approve! few more things done today - removed the rigid lights in the bumper to get ready for the bumper install. also installed my bedrug: and painted the corsa exhaust tips a high temp flat black:
