Do you have a steam cleaner? That might help soften and loosen it up a bit. If you don't you could try hot water

What about an adhesive remover? or something like a paint thinner? They won't hurt the paint just make sure to wipe clean after applying. Obviously try it in an inconspicuous spot first

I had been using my steam cleaner until it went out on me. I've never really felt comfortable with hosing down the engine bay but until I get another I'll have to play with the different nozzle settings on the hose and adjust my technique. My biggest issue with detailing engine bays is that I'm never satisfied because I can't get to every crevice, If it were up to me I'd pull the the thing out and clean every nook and cranny

HAHA I know if I owned one of these, I probably would have done it by now. I know myself well enough to know that I can spend an hour washing and cleaning my wheels before I even begin to load my foam gun with shampoo

I can relate. My mom asked me to wash her new highlander the other day. Thought she'd never ask. She took it immediately after I finished drying it, never even got to apply all my products I wanted to try out. Oh well she was happy to say the least.

Adam's has great tools for getting the job done like blowers, vacuums, polishers, the foam cannon gun, seats, sprayers, carts but I feel there is one very important multi-use tool missing from the arsenal. A portable steam cleaner would be the cherry on top. It serves many purposes and I consider it to be an essential for almost any detailer. I'm not sure if Adams has a R&D team but I believe it's definitely something to like in to. I believe there is a good market for it and with the amazing sales and marketing team you guys have it would be no problem getting these off the shelf. Just to give you an idea, Griots offers one from their site and while I've been dying to get my hands on one and I've yet to place an order. Why? because they don't have the same level of customer service as Adams and don't offer anything to loyal or frequent customer who shop them.

    Bye-bye Kwazar...

I have been using a Kwazar sprayer with foaming tip for the last 3 or so years.  I mainly use it as a pre-soak for bugs.  It makes runny foam, somewhat similar to what a Foam Gun would make.  When I tried using it for All Purpose Cleaner or Tire & Rubber Cleaner, it went through too much product way too fast.

    Hello iK Foam Sprayer...

This little foaming sprayer makes nice, dry foam, very similar to a Foam Cannon.  I used the purple tip for this first test, and the foam seem just right, not too dry, not too wet.

To compare the two, I did a side-by-side test on the grill.  I put 4oz of the regular blue Car Wash Shampoo in each, with the rest of the bottle filled with cold water.  Shook them real good, them pumped them up.  The iK takes more pumps to get it to full pressure (about 25 pumps compared to 15 pumps on the Kwazar).

I sprayed the two sides at the same time.  What a difference in the foam!

You can see that the iK makes thicker foam that clings longer. The Kwazar foam is wetter and runs off fast.  The iK does not go through product as fast as the Kwazar.  After testing it a few times on both the Raptor and the Explorer, the Kwazar was almost empty, and the iK was still half full.

I plan to pick up another iK Foam Sprayer to use with Tire & Rubber Cleaner, and maybe another for All Purpose Cleaner.

    Hi Matt,

Our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is specifically designed not to foam up, and we do state on the bottle that it will not create suds, so I'm sorry if you ended up wasting some product there.

It will work with the following products that we offer. I will add to the list as needed:
Adam's Car Shampoo Adam's Eco All Purpose Cleaner Adam's Leather & Interior Cleaner Adam's Strip Wash Adam's Tire & Rubber Cleaner Adam's Wash & Wax Adam's Wheel Cleaner Adam's Ultra Foam Shampoo
