  1. While we are on this topic, and Maybe this is a question for @Dan@Adams . Why can we no longer use our referral code $5 gift card, with the standard 15% discount on top? Since the conversion over to the new site, it only allows use of one or the other. It makes the referral program useless, because the 15% off is usually more savings than $5 off from the digital gift card. Can this be looked into?
  2. For me, it doesn't matter where products are manufactured (besides chemicals). My biggest concern is quality. Google "Hot ash cleaner" ...makes me wonder if the Barrel Vacuum is even meant for automotive detailing.
  3. This! If price was the issue, I'd get my supplies from the local auto part store. But that's not what I'm in for. I want quality, and pricing is usually not a factor for high quality items. It's just when you pay a pretty penny for a low quality items - that is what makes me upset.
  4. My thoughts on the Barrel Vacuum: PROS - Lightweight - Nice Design - Long, Durable Hose - Changeable Tips - Long power cord - Cleanable filter - Not too loud - Enough capacity to vacuum several cars without needing to be cleaned out CONS - Not enough suction - Perfect for a DIY, but not for a professional detailer - No wheels (bottom scrapes from being sat on the ground) I too agree that it would have been better if it had those missing features. Adam's is all about premium products and most people including myself have no problem paying a few more bucks for a more premium item. Unfortunately, this China made accessory fell short of "Premium". I get they want to offer better pricing for items manufactured in China, but I'd like to see more US made accessories, especially if the quality is better.
  5. I think I'm going with CSC this winter!
  6. Hope to get one soon. I will hold off on using my kit until there is a better explanation on the application process.
  7. Thanks Rich, but i was looking for a different answer. I want to know what can we do during the application process so that this does not happen? Dan mentioned what to do if it does happen.
  8. @falcaineer Have you heard back from @Kyle@Adams yet, about a solution for the streaks and residue? I've been wanting to do my car with the kit I purchased, but I don't want to waste it if it's not going to work correctly. Applying the coating, having it streak up and having to correct it off to remove it is a complete waste.
  9. The biggest factor is that the new Wheel & Tire cleaner does not contain Thioglycolate (iron remover), which is the chemical that turns purple and pretty much self cleans the wheels in most cases. The Wheel & Tire Cleaner will work for a lot of scenarios, but sometimes you will need something stronger such as the original Wheel Cleaner.
  10. I have not used detail spray on ceramic, but I'd definitely try ceramic boost and apply that once a month. Use ceramic waterless as a replacement for detail spray for wipe downs and such.
  11. Kind of disappointed in this "deal". Swirl Killers have been that price for over a month now. Can't fool everyone..
  12. I'd try the blue pad wih Heavy Correcting Compound or Sprayable Compound. You can use the Correcting Polish and Orange Pad as a second step in the correction process.
  13. I'm sorry Chris, but you are wrong. I applied these to my headlights without buffing away the residue and it left a lot of streaking. Called HQ and was told you have to buff away, just like you would any other coating (for the headlights at least). The "rainbow" effect dried to the headlights. Also in the video, it shows where the residue is wiped off. Here is a snippet from the video if you haven't had a chance to watch it.
  14. My only question is what is the comparison of Ceramic Spray Coating on glass and Glass Coating? What are the differences that set each other apart (not price).
  15. I'd say the Wheel & Tire Cleaner will be a great option, without the need of using two different products. You will love the way it performs!
  16. Below is a pretty cool chart that was put out. I noticed that Adam's is now bottling Wheel & Tire Cleaner in better chemical resistant bottles, different than the normal ones. My Wheel and Tire Cleaner is in the standard bottles and I had a small leak at the bottom of the bottle, due to the strength of the chemical. It's breaking down the plastic. However W&TC is non-acid, so it's safe to use.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the gas pressure washer is not an Adam's product. Neither is the snub nose gun that comes with it. I believe the pressure washer is a Karcher and I know the snub nose is from MTM.
  18. That does make sense. The one that I question is Ultra Foam Shampoo. There is no longer a valid need for it, now that Mega Foam is here. And it can't be price point, because we all know that Mega Foam is cheaper, based on how many ounces are used between the 2. Car Shampoo, Wash & Wax, Wash+Coat and Strip Wash still serve their purposes.
  19. I wonder if Glass Sealant will still be existent.
  20. Cool Stuff! Should be available today I'm thinking. https://youtu.be/9HfCZrx_A8Y
