Temperature can have an effect on how easy/hard product goes on or comes off. If it’s cold, they can definitely be a bit stubborn. Same when it’s hot.

If you have stubborn product, a shot of detail spray will often times help remove it.

As for the water, that will always get into seams when washing. The best way to eliminate it is to use a blower to push it all out.

I tried using the blower they had their but it sucked. It was at a coin wash where I did everything. My hose at home was frozen and I couldn’t take my air compressor. I hope I gave the sealant enough time to bond and I didn’t remove it so quick, this was my first time using this sealant. The bottle just doesn’t really give a time just says to let it dry a little, I have detail spray I can’t wait to use and I have the g&g

  2. Just wanted to make a quick video showing how easy this stuff is to buff off! Incase there was someone who hasn’t tried it and would like to see just how easy it buffs. By far the easiest Sealant/wax to remove from all the ones I’ve tried. Hope it shows how well it comes off, sorry it was quick I was cold already lol. It was 35 degrees real feel in Chicago at this time that I was removing the LPS. I know I’m going to get ding on my black trim is terrible, I haven’t done anything to this car in the last 3 years 😭😔 and it shows my paint is terrible. But I got into wanting to detail again and this time I came back but with Adams products 🤗 The steps I took this night was, (wash, iron x, clay mitt, LPS)

the most annoying thing I had was that for some reason I kept coming in contact with water that would come out from the crivices and smear all over as I would wipe off with my towel 😡and wouldn’t remove 100% is this because of the temperature outside maybe? Anyone know if the temp outside has anything to do with how easy or hard it is to dry a vehicle

  3. I know this is pretty late but I just joined Adam’s forums as of recent and just came across this. But I’ve used clay bar from a different brand as well as a clay mitt that I currently still use. I must say I love the ease of use of the mitt vs the bar, not that the bar is difficult to use. But I love how with the mitt I use the soap from the bucket......same bucket that I use to clean the car with. And constantly emerge the mitt inside for cleaning and applying to the car again. Vs the clay bar you can drop it on the ground easier than a clay mitt and have to use specific lube like detail spray, rinseless wash diluted to a detail spray or clay lube. And the surface area you cover is much smaller. I have not noticed any scratches or marring with the mitt but I have seen some marring with clay bar in the past. Both products have brought me super smooth finishes.

I’ve never had good luck with Adam’s Sealant. New or old formula. You’ll be hard pressed to find any sealant that will last through the winter. I’ve used a few coatings with great results and are proven to last. I’ve never used Adam’s coatings. But I would think they should do pretty good.

Dam this sucks haha, I just received and have been excited to use it, but I feel like I’ve came across more than one post that talks about the durability being weak on the LPS.....😔😔

  8. I’ll be honest I haven’t really tried the G&G that I just received. I got the old formula I guess you can say now. I’m excited to use it. How would this product hold up on its own??? I also received the paint sealant, just haven’t gotten any good weather recently. Everything has been in the mid 20’s on my off days so I haven’t gotten time to play with them 😢. So was wondering if I would be ok with the durability of it against the Chicago winter coming on its own or should I apply the sealant and then g&g, I just love how it seems to be a quicker application and so easy.

I also saw the new video on the g&g formula. Definitely seems like a fine spray when it comes out vs the old formula looking thicker when it hits the surface. What are the thoughts on that? I feel like before with it spraying thicker atleast just mentally it seems like you would use less product as compared to now I feel like it’ll be easier to spray away

    Thanks!

I've used PS for years, and I'm happy with it. It provides a good shine and excellent durability (several months, depending on driving habits, weather, care, etc). FWIW, I usually apply it twice-a-year - in the spring and fall.  For best results, wash, clay, and polish the paint before applying it. You can help it last longer with good wash habits (2-buckets, pH-balanced shampoo, etc) and the use complementary products like HGG.

As I said, this was my first time using CPW. It shines as well (or better) than PS, and provides great beading action - also as good (or better) than PS. For me, the jury is still out on it durability compared to PS.

The bottom line is that I think you'll be happy with PS. Make the time to apply it before winter is upon you!

Thank you, I’m more excited to use it. Im hoping for Monday since I’ll be off that day seems like I’ll get a high of 36 😒

I prepped my Tacoma for winter last weekend. Thanks to my friend, @falcaineer, I got to choose between my normal PS and his recently acquired CPW. I decided to try CPW for a change.

It went on and came off as quickly and easily as PS, which was nice. (Thanks, again, to @falcaineer for his help in applying it!) It shines as well (or better) than PS does. (Silver is a difficult color on which to judge!) It provided great beading action in today's precipitation. I look forward to learning how its durability compares, but I suspect having some Ceramic Boost on-hand won't hurt...

This looks amazing, I might have to try that some time. I just recently received my Adam’s liquid paint sealant. Still waiting to get a decent day off with decent weather here in Chicago to apply it and try it for the first time. Not sure what to expect from it. I’m hoping I love it.

What are your thoughts on the paint sealant from a durability and performance stand point and just overall how you like it

    thNks in advance

Yea,  it works fine.  Not sure how long it held up, couple months maybe,  it was my parents car, and I was wizzing through it.

I normally use glass sealant, boost, and GnG.

DS works fine at maintaining hydrophobic properties as well.

    Awesome thanks

No cure time that i know of.

Longevity?  My truck is garage kept and only driven in the rain when I have to work on a rainy day.  I drive 30miles 1 way,  hi way, farm country, and city.

It lasts me a while.  But at the same time, between boost and GnG, I have never seen a depressed amout of beads.

You know I hit my wifes car a few times a year with both and same thing.  Beads never diminish.  Hers is always outside and is our more common rainy day car.

I dont use much either, just a couple spritz,  nothing close to what Adam does in the glass boost video.

I would think it lasts 2-3 months.

And another thought,  I did my parents car and windshield last June (2017) with paint sealant...their windshield still beads!

I think you answered my question that I had for Adam’s liquid paint sealant, couldn’t find info on this sealant being used on windshield. I’ve used chemical guys jetseal on glass and loved it lasted a long time. Now I have Adam’s but wasn’t sure if it can be used on glass since there is not much info. Saw Adam applying it on headlights as well.

If you'd like the least amount of products and keep it simple, this is what I would get in your case.

    Iron Remover

Visco Clay bar or Clay Mitt

    Finishing Polish

    White polishing pads

    Paint Sealant

Use paint sealant on the side windows as well

Good all around towel is Adam's borderless grey - can use for polish removal, spot drying, quick detailers etc. Get the bundles on Amazon, they're cheaper over there. Since you have three cars I would start with at least 20 of them (just my opinion).

For the windshield I use Rain-X but many use the glass sealant and love it.

If you need to polish scratches out of glass get some Lake Country Rayon polishing pads and Carpro Ceriglass polish. If you're simply removing waterspots an orange pad and some correcting polish does the trick.

Liquid Paint sealant info on glass is what I’ve been looking for, how do you like it on the glass? I’ve used chemical guys jetseal on glass few years back and loved it and seemed to have lasted for ever. Now I have Adam’s paint sealant but haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet and was wondering if it can be applied on the windshield

Welcome.  Adam’s products speak for themselves,  you’ll soon see this.  Please also watch his YouTube videos, as many of the products have multiple uses and not just what the name implies, a good example of this is Ceramic Boost, most think you need a ceramic coated car, and that is far from the truth,  CB is a top notch product and I highly suggest it.  Anyways welcome!

Thanks, thats good to know. I received the order I got from them. One of the products that I have a question about is the liquid sealant, can I apply this to the windshield as well? I see Adam applies it to the headlight and chrome I believe I saw on the bottle

Welcome to the addiction, Ruben! We love pictures, so do you have any of what you're making shiny? And since this is an Adam's forum, I'll go ahead and say it...give that "other" stuff to the $40 guy, make the switch, and don't look back :2thumbs:.

What do you have on order?

P.S. I long for Portillo's and Lou Malnati's!!! Maybe we can trade for a bottle of DS?! ?

Haha, currently waiting on the, liquid paint sealant, h20 g&g, wheel cleaner, detail spray and shampoo. And can’t wait to have a nice warm day to give my Road Glide and Mk6 gti some love

  16. Hey what’s up guys and gals,

I’m excited to have joined my first forum community and not just any community or any forum but an Adam’s polishes forum and detailing community. My name is Jose and middle name is Ruben. Usually go by Ruben due to Jose’s existing in every block lol. I’m located in Chicago so I’m currently experiencing 10 degree weather as I type this lol. Roughly 5-6 years ago I was introduced into detailing. My first products I ever purchased were Meguiars and mothers. Then I was introduced into chemical guys, and was blown away with their stuff. People loved how my car looked that I then started to detail other people’s cars. But I had some competition, at work I had some dude who would quote on quote detail peoples cars for $40 exterior and interior and would do it in under one hour. So I wouldn’t get too much business’s because he was cheaper. But he wouldn’t do things right, he would layer waxes on top but never clayed or did any decontamination. But then I forgot what happened and I stopped detailing my car and others. I use to be anal about it getting dirty. Time passed, 3-4 years later of not detailing or caring for a wash and today I sit with a ton of new products that I just purchased from chemical guys and currently waiting on a shipment from Adam’s to give them a shot. So now I want to detail my car but now I have to wait for those days that are at least in the 30’s! ?

well i I want to say thanks in advance for any advice and tips that I ever learn from anyone
