  1. Since my last post I've been able to try again. This time instead of foaming all purpose I used the regular sprayer which helped. Using the fender brush and going inside to out was the trick. I just put SVRT on heavy like the last time. I do plan on mixing up the vrt milk and giving that a try.
  2. thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I'll give a report next wash.
  3. Thanks I was using that brush. I was just using a back and forth motion like other tires. Might have to try the other direction. Tooth brush is a great idea too.
  4. Thanks I'll try thinning it out that makes sense. I will also try the fender brush. I was thinking about that.
  5. I recently got a 2012 F150. it came with Wrangler SR-A tires. I did my first detail. I'm having an issue cleaning and dressing the tire. It has verticle ribs (see pic) that go from the rim almost all the way to the tread. Anyway i used a ton of APC since it was staying in the ribs. The ribs are tight and the tire brush didn't seem able to get into the ribe. When I put SVRT on I could see it was built up in the ribs. up. Any suggestions on how to care for these tires. I'm thinking maybe when cleaning to brush outwards from the rim. Also any tips on cleaning the lettering would be great too.
  6. I have a few year old 330 3 burner with the side burner. I went with the stainless grates and I like them way more than my previous Weber that had the porcelin. I like cooking on them better and the cleanup is way easier. I don't use the side burner that much I mostly use it for side dishes. Like if I'm making steaks I'll saute the mushrooms on the side or potatoes. Its nice when you want to be outside for all your cooking. I also like the fact it has 4 casters. Makes it easy to move around the deck if needed.
  7. The tonneau is a Lund Genesis tri-fold.
  8. Thanks for all the replies. Actually helps alot. Now all I need is some warm weather.
  9. I was thinking the same thing to treat it like paint. I use revive on my wifes Mustang wheels. Works great. I have 2 full bottles of SVRT so I should be set for the summer anyway. One other question I have is on the step bars. They have plastic steps. I worried that if I treat them with SVRT it will make them slippery. Any thoughts?
  10. Just picked up a new DD a couple weeks ago. 2012 F-150 XLT Ecoboost. Very impressed with the power. I added a bed liner and a tri fold cover. My first thougts were I'm gonna need another bottle of metal polish. I'm glad my last mystery box came with a bottle of Super VRT. Anyone have any tips for taking care of the bed cover its vinyl? I'm thinking I can just wash and rinse it and then apply the VRT.
  11. I meant no disrespect. Just an Fyi. Us detailers are particular about the details.
  12. FYI no such thing as an 1988 Grand National. 1987 is the last year they made them. You should be able to tackle it just like any other. They had pretty bad paint from the factory. Post some pictures if you get a chance. Here is a pic of a GNX I took a couple years ago.
  13. "Excuse me holmes uh how do I get back to the highway?"
  14. I have the Soundlink that I use with my Ipod via bluetooth. Good range, good sound and battery life is good.
  15. You and Carl (Fedex guy) are on a first name basis.
  16. Do they even have 15hp from the factory?
  17. Now I've seen it all. Took this in the visitor parking at work today.
  18. The show was terrible. I have no idea who the host was. He was clueless he was calling them by the wrong name. Hyping up the fact they had extra security. Bringing up whatever BS happened the night before in the bar. Even the guy from Fast and Loud said it was $%$@% TV drama. Not even sure the host has ever seen a motorcycle. As far as the voting I agreed with it. I did like JRs the best with Gas Monkey 2nd. I couldn't believe Sr. built a sport bike same thing with Jesse. I used to be a fan of Jesse James but I just can't stand to watch him anymore. 6 weeks past the deadline is ridiculous. I hoped to see the contestants checkout each others bikes and make comments good and bad. They barely showed any of that. The part I hated the most is the end. They annouce the winner and show close. No reactions from the winners or losers. I can't get myself to even try and watch Amish Mafia. Seemed like complete nonsense to me.
  19. RIP Jim. Thank you Rich for honoring him this way.
  20. thanks for the tips. should save me some time.
  21. I recently did my first paint correction on my dads black T-bird. I started with the orange pad with swirl/haze remover. I had a heck of a time buffing it off. Due to weather and putting on too much product. I'm pretty sure in the videos they say you can polish right over the residue. How well does this work? Can you do the same with the wax. Meaning can you do swirl/haze, polish, wax, buff? I'm not sure why I didn't just polish over and it was alot of extra work to remove that.
  22. Wash, wax, seafoam in the gas tank, battery tender, cover. I make a barracde with my ladder ball frames with an army blanket over them. I live in the midwest and when I need to snowblow the driveway it blocks the cold air.
