  1. It has a small 3.9 Liter V8 Jaguar had a hand in with Ford. 250hp.
  2. First crack at paint correction. My dads 2002 TBird. It had swirls and scratches all over it. Sorry for the pics I was excited to get started and didn't take enough. Anyway I did a full wash, interior, engine bay, etc. I started with the orange pad with swirl and haze remover. I had a heck of a time buffing it off. I put it on to heavy and the air was damp. it left a cloudy appearance. The cloudiness came out with fine machine polish. I went back and did the hood and trunk a 2nd time with the orange. Got just about everything out. Waxed it with super machine wax and polished up the chrome etc. It was alot of work but came out great and I learned alot. BTW the one pic close up of the clean car you can see my slip. I cleaned and dressed the tires but the tire was way low on pressure. After I filled it I forgot to go back and touch it up.

    Remembering 9/11

I was driving into work listening the local sports radio station. They had mentioned a plane crashed into the WTC. I got to work and asked my co-workers and they had no idea. About 10 minute later our spouses and family started calling in and talking about it. We all gather around my co-workers IMac and watched the CNN video feed with our jaws dropped. Everytime I look at the clock and see 343 I think of the firement that lost their lives on that day. I will never forget that day. It still brings a tear to my eye when I seen those building completely collapse thinking about who was inside at the time.
  4. I'm sure they all have something to say about me. I carry a small piece of a microfiber towel in my pocket. If I have to get into the trunk I use it on my finger when I shut it. Just trying to keep the finger prints of the trunk. I can just imagine what they think .
  5. That is too funny. My dad has a 2002 T-Bird that is a mess. Luckily I'm borrowing it in a few weeks for the whole shooting match. I can't wait to tackle this project.
  6. True thats what they would say. There was a red Prowler there. It looked like it was washed with dawn dish soap then dried with a towel full of sand I should have taken some pictures.
  7. Was at a local car show yesterday (took 2nd in my division) anyway I was floored by the cars. Some were not even washed. I must say out of the 100 cars in the show 75 of them were swirled. One car really caught my eye. It was a 63 Impala. It had severe swirls like I've never seen. I also noticed the glass was swirled like that as well. What would cause the winsheild to get like that? I also always chuckle. I do all my stuff in the garage before I go to the show. I get to the show and everyone but me is rubbing and cleaning the car. Usually they have a plastic bin with an arrangement of dirty towels. They pull out a nice dirty towel and start scrubbing. No concern what the towel was used for previously. I also like when they are using detail spray and as their wiping the towel is touching the ground. Just amazing to see some of these beautiful cars abused like that. I wish I had a little more experience and start a side business.
  8. I had my car painted a few years ago. They told me not to wax it for at least 6 months. He said I could use 3M Hand Glaze to shine it up in that time. He also stressed not to use anyting with silicone in it.
  9. I use revive polish on my wifes clear coated wheels. I also put a coat of wax every now and then.
  10. Just tried the leather conditioner this weekend myself. I used it on my wifes 06 Mustang. Cleaned everything with leather and interior cleaner. Then I put it on the red pad like the instructions said. However after I applied it I turned over the red pad to the dry side and went over it to thin it out and to make sure it wasn't greasy. It really worked great especially on the dash. You're right though it definately has a sheen to it. Its not high gloss but definatley not flat. I'm pleased with the sheen in this instance.
