  1. LOVE BUGS are out in Florida. Thank God for Adam's Bug Remover.

    No pictures!!!

Wet the Dodge Dakota truck and sprayed the grille, windshield and side mirrors with Bug Remover. Let it soak and soften the bug guts for a minute and started the removal process. Rinsed the truck off and did a quick hand wash on the rest of the truck. Dried and applied Ceramic Boost.

Wet the Toyota Avalon (garage queen) and sprayed the grille, windshield and side mirrors with Bug Remover. Let it soak and soften the bug guts for a minute and started the removal process. Rinsed the car off and did a quick hand wash on the rest of the car. Parked the queen back in her private place and dried and applied Ceramic Boost. The Princess is happy now!!!

  2. Apologize up front as I completely forgot to take before pictures. I completely detailed and applied Ceramic Spray back in October 2019. Decided to do it all over again now.

    1. Spent all day Thursday washing, Iron remover, clay bar and cleaning the engine bay and tires and wheels.

    2. Spent all day Friday finish polishing with Swirl Killer, applying Surface Prep and applied Ceramic Spray coating to the entire car including door jams on the "Garage Queen".

    3. Applied Tire Shine and put the license plate back on today. Done for now due to extreme heat index. I'll clean the interior on Monday.

I've thought about this a bunch over the last day and I'm not sure about the answer:

If someone gave you as a Detailer a Black vehicle, is that a Gift or a Punishment?

Is that a Punishment Gift or a Gift of Punishment?

Roughly 2hrs north of us and thanks, we haven't had a new car in 8 years, so I have the itch and it needs scratchin'  😎

I'm a retired Contract Negotiator so I understand the itch. When I get it I use that as an excuse to hone my negotiating skills. Ha Ha. Works every time.

really works great on White vehicles and that is H20 Guard and Gloss.  I'm sure sure, Chris will jump in, but I'll take him to make sure - Hey @falcaineer.

Chris did a white vehicle with HGG a year or so ago, I think it was his, and it really impressed me to the point that the next white vehicle that came my way also got HGG and I was hooked on it for White vehicles thereafter.

Can you use HGG with Ceramic Spray Coating?

  6. Geez, I wish I lived there. I would much rather walk in and pick up what I need and leave with it in my hand. You can even buy the MF Revitalizer there. I wonder why that product is NEVER discounted or on sale? Anyways, all the way over here in Florida, having a retail store close by would be nice.

Getting ready to buy a polishing machine and having to buy a bunch of different pads and polishes just to see what I need seems costly. Having the store close by would make things so much easier. Oh well, such is life.

Im not either...just google “Adams polishes instagram”...one of the pages will give you their feed.  Just refresh the page everyday or so and you will see all of their Posts in real time.

I thought you had to be a member. Cool. Thanks for the tip.

Sorry, I don't know the rates. But I'd recommend the corded 15mm for a great, all around option. If you want to add another to the mix to take it next level and it's affordable for you, add the Mini. I believe they add pads and maybe even polish, but don't quote me on that...

THANKS @falcaineer. I'm planning on stripping it down and doing everything in the spring so I'll save the link and look into it then. Appreciate the info.

Anybody have an idea what the fees are? I own a 15m but would curious how much a mini rental would be.  I dont want to waste Cust serv time by filling out the i fo on the page.

I was wondering the same thing. The link takes you to a page to complete info but I didn't see any rates.

Just curious, which is better for a rookie, corded or battery operated? Is the 15MM the best option?

  10. Joel,

Here is a picture of my NEW Toyota ONE DAY after I received it. I didn't think I'd need to go through all the steps either since it was new. Boy was I surprised. I started with Iron Remover (the picture) then foam cannon wash, clay bar, more foam cannon wash, Prep Spray and Ceramic Spray Coating. Then Ceramic Boost and Ceramic Waterless Wash on the glass because they streaked with too much Boost. Unfortunately it is white so you can't really see it. But I was shocked when I put the Iron Remover on there.

I'm a rookie and this was my first time do this. But based on my findings about two weeks ago, I'd do everything prior to putting the ceramic spray on your car.

First two are with the Iron Remover. Last two are the finished product.

@SgtLip Dont be afraid to correct your paint with the SK. As long as your physically able to use the machine id give it a shot.
I watched as many videos as I could find and gave it a shot.  I was terrified to screw up the paint..but after a bunch of corrections under my belt I gained a tiny bit of confidence and knowledge of what the SK is capable of.  Im extremely happy with my SK’s performance and the results I got.

Thanks. Since I don't own one, it may be awhile before I get the guts to try it.

As for the inside of the garage door, it is a insulated door with that are full panels on both sides.  Like anything else it gets dusty and dirty and needs to be cleaned every once in a while.  I generally notice it when I'm doing a waterless wash on the wife's garage queen at night or a rainy day when the door is down and then once I'm done with the car, I just do the door.

I'll refer you to this thread that has a list of alternate uses for the Adam's products and there are many others around for the forum.

Thanks again. And THANKS for the thread. I've been looking for it for two days now and couldn't find it. AWESOME!

My wife didn't have any complaints at all.  I was working away on her vehicle and she simply stated, no worries, I'll just take your truck to go shopping, , so I was left with no vehicle or money.

Don't you just hate when that happens? Wives are always two thoughts ahead.

For the exterior of the Garage Door and Vinyl Fence, I have been using Wash & Wax.  For the interior of the garage door, I use waterless wash.  The fence is rather big with 38 8 foot panels and then a few 4 foot panels.   The garage door is a 16x7 insulated door with one row of windows.  Using the foam gun, I got over the entire outside of the door then wipe it down with one of the Adam's Red Car Wash Wedge's.

For the fence, I do one panel at a time with the exception of the inside corners, then I do two panels. I can do the inside or outside of the fence in one day, refilling the foam gun 2 or 3 times.  The same routine is followed with getting the shampoo on it, wiping it down with the Red Car Wash Wedge and then rinsing it off.   The garage door needs its fall wash and I think I'm going to try Wash + Coat since that is what will go on my truck next weekend.   As for the inside, I have no doubt that I'll use Ceramic Waterless Wash the next time I do it.

I have been using Ceramic Boost on the tile walls in the show and the glass door has Glass Sealant on it.   You have to be careful with shower and make sure you don't get it on the floor, otherwise it will be very slick.  Don't forget to do the mirrors with Brilliant Glaze.

The fence looks really nice. Thanks for the information. I'm sitting here in awe as I was ONLY thinking cars and trucks. Now I have other things to do as well during my free time in retirement. I have to get me one of the Adam's Red Car Wash Wedge. Been going to buy one but now I have a reason.

Only a single car garage so it won't be much. I do have a Metal carport I installed December last year. I did foam the inside once and pressure rinsed it. I think I'll do the outside next. Curious why the inside of the garage door but I guess it keeps the dirt and stuff off the clean car.

    Thanks.

For large vehicles, I'll use the Adam's Car Wash Wedge which works exceptionally well on motorhomes, campers and enclosed trailers, garage doors and similar large surface areas.

@RayS Just curious, the Garage Door and similar Large Surface areas caught my eye.

I never thought about the garage door. Do you wash and wax it or what products do you use?

I also want to do something with the shower walls and glass doors. What do you use on tile walls in the shower and the glass enclosure? Also what products do you recommend? I was think Strip Wash to cut through soap and stuff then detail spray but am not sure.

    Thanks in advance.

If it were a vehicle that I was doing, I would use LC on the entire door panel, excluding the window and lock controls and faux wood at the top.  For those areas, I would use ID.  For the dash, it would be LC on everything except the faux wood, infotainment center, the chrome line across the center of the dash, vents and speakers.   I generally do the LC areas first and the by spraying the ID on a microfiber towel, do the remaining areas.  if you happen to hit a chrome or edge of the infotainment center with the LC, the ID will take it right off, yet is doesn't seem to affect the leather'sh materials if happen to run a microfiber towel across them with ID on it.   As a reminder, you do not need very much LC, a little goes a long way.

I like the dash and the doors, they look really nice.

@RayS THANK for the tips and the compliment. I was originally looking at the really light parchment colored leather. When I saw the saddle colored leather the wife and I liked it better.
