Why do you need two coats?

uhmmm, cause that's what is recommended by the collective ?? Unless I'm thinking more of Americana now that I think about it.....

What are we doing when applying our second coat of MSW a few days later?

This is what I'm thinking for a DD 24/7 outside car. Wash then revive and apply second MSW coat.

The reason for the revive is to make sure paint is clean as on my white car even after a good wash and good clay when I polish you can see the difference in polished area verses not ("gray") looking compared to "white".

So I'm thinking a revive wipe down, what you all think?

Worked 11.5 hours then come home and tore apart the wife's center console on her charger to get at the park interlock.  Fun stuff.  Those of you that have one, if you find it not going out of park this is the reason why.

Did you replace any parts? What was the solution? My wifes Chevy Epica is doing the same thing!!

Good job, this was a true "family" car with all the usual dirt and scuffs. It does take some time to turn around for sure, but well worth it when you see the look on their faces!

Looked at the forum many times today trying to get up the motivation to detail the two cars in my garage. Still not there yet.... it is a long process I would love to be able to complete in 8 hours instead of 3 days !!!

Going to be interesting for sure as I do have brake dust specks on my white paint (orange specs) all over. They say using the DWC makes clay bar easier.

I would like those who have used DWC use on paint to chim in.

Will it dull your paint in the advent of drying on the paint or not?

Will it harm the paint in anyway?

what is you process in application, do whole car then agitate and rinse?

I've been thinking this for awhile now and wonder if any in the collective feel the same, and that is.

I think Buttery Wax has a better shine/gloss on my white and deep red cars the other Adams wax/sealants of which I own all.

I always come away happy with the look of Butter, always! Just don't like the durability. Now that is not saying I dislike the others, but yet my preception is a better glass/shine.

How long did you take as you said clear was soft.

Sure looks like a new paint job!

Small stone chips maybe now filled with polish but you said you WW and detailed sprayed which would take that out.

I've had good luck doing this, then letting them soak for a while in a bucket before putting them in the wash.

What does the collective think of this idea.

Using a bucket with grit guard, place a fish aquiaum airator (sp) long tue style that air comes out of all around in the bottom tie wrap to the grit guard top. This will great (hopefully) an adjetor (sp) of sorts. May help lossen dirt.

Yes, traffic is slower. Can it be that world issues are taking time away as people work on just making it by OR holidays if your lucky enough to have them.

Whatever the issues we do se the odd new interesting thread.

So, anyone comes across a new detailing job where you need to remove liquid glass sealant before you do your Adams routine?

Question is what do you use to remove the liquid glass from the paint??

This stuff bonds very well......

I was thinking of a possible new grit guard design mainly for our wheel brushes and amy help with mitts as well.

What if the grit guard was truned up say on a 45 degree angle and still kept off the bucket bottom. This would allow one to "scrub" the brush better because of the long handle. It would aid in the cleaning of mitts as well. Even a cone shape might work.

Hey Anthony, just like the others say "clay" that is what I do with my white fit and it gets these spots all the time, brake dust especially the back area.

Nope not in a garage, it was my daily driver and I was very pleased with Buttery Wax. I just hate to see it dismissed as a lower quality wax then the Americana. I really think it is a great wax and is superior to almost every wax out there. Remember I've been using Adam's for a long, long time and when I started there was no wax in the product line, so Buttery Wax was a big step. I still keep and use it quite a bit, really do like it.

Yes, I'm liking the look of Buttery on my white Honda Fit as of late. I have all the line of Adams and Buttery for this car seems to be getting the nood these days.

I second what fly4food said. Stuff works awesome. Then after using it I will go over the car again with DS.

I like too inspect the paint after a few rounds of this. I find swirsl (very light) after a first wash after recent correction!!

No the mitt is new and clean, two bucket, two mitt (upper, Lower) and very light swirls almost speder web like appear. Either I'm too picky or need to be proven that yes swirl free wash does exist. BTW red car and yes did not miss on correction was 100% sun never lies.
