  1. So that match was bs..sunnon had the first round...I've seen ppl get beat worse than that...he was a deer in the headlights after he fell that kills me that he just got scared all of a sudden...facepalm

    Tapa Mobile..

Thats funny I thought kinda the same thing. It seemed he (Sunnon) knew opps I messed up on this one and was waiting for the punishment. With that said if you look at Anderson just abit before that he started his hands down bob and weave deal which usally means he knows he is on the right track to win. For, me i knew then Anderson knew something (Sunnon) was hurt or gassed in my opion. Not sure which.

  2. I thought I had a good heavy duty cord from O Depot, Flex got real hot and my MB would bloe a fuse.

I replaced it with Adams cord, the black one with a GFCI and have not had any problems at all.

Cord mekes a very big difference especially when using a long cord that travels around a car. I learned the hard way and wasted money first at H Depot.

    Should've got Adams cord first.

The question I would ask you was the cord specs the same? 12/3 guage wire?

  3. I found my self with 2 white vehicles and what process and products do you recommend to really make the white look good? I gave my wife heck for getting another white vehicle and wouldn't you know I got a deal on a 2010 Silverado that was white.

A good claying and polsihing (steps unknown as paint condition is unknown to me) so maybe 3 steps, maybe2 and maybe one.

White will look good with a good cleaning (above steps).

As of late I've been likeing the buttery wax on my white fit.

White is very, very hard to see imprefections even with good 1000 watt lighting so be prepared to pull some hair out! while :pc:

  4. Cleaning the mitt prior to the first use is recommended... we've had a couple of threads about it here already.

Pretty much for the exact reasons you're describing:

    1) It probably still has some loose hairs in it from manufacturing.

    2) It can still have some natural oils in it from the animal (it is wool afterall) and oils will kill/repel soap suds.

Just clean it well with APC and rinse, it should be fine.

Piece of paper OR tag on mitt cuff when sold, stating above would be good.

  5. Just a thought, but could it be these are swirls that you might have missed during the detail? I know that I have found some that I am sure I missed when doing the FMP, and show up better in a few weeks after the detail.

While this can be the case in some cases, mine it was not as I look over the area in full sunlight (which nevers lies) from all angles and I was happy.

I just feel that no one can show me a 100% or even 85% swirl free finish that has had severel washes and towel drys even following the "adams code of paint correction"

  6. Now that I have the car clean. I can really get a look at how bad the area really is now. I'm pretty happy with it's current condition. No, it's not all gone, but pretty close. And you really can't see it unless you get really close and are actually looking for it. :2thumbs:

If it is a DD, I would call it a day then.

  7. Usually doesn't take more though then a pass or two with FMP on 90% of the vehicle and a few spots with SHR.

I think that is what will be the case as time goes on, but it is rather amazing at how quick the "light" swirls come back and this is the tough part to take after 10 hour correction.

  8. I MSS'd my Mustang two weeks ago and washed it for the first time yesterday. Yes, it stayed clean for two weeks! Even with a couple rain storms! I can't tell you how happy I am with this product. I've tried out all the hyped up posts about doing this and that, layering this over that. You know ... using the blue stuff first then the FMP or vice versa, followed by the glaze then Americana. The FMP followed by the MSS followed by the Americana a week later....I bought them all and tried them all.

Truth is, this time, all I did was wash the car with Adams Shampoo, clay with Adams clay, a quick pass of FMP then the MSS. My car never looked wetter and glossier, using this straightforward, simple method. And it didn't take me 5 days to detail the car either. The MSS is so darn easy to apply and the secret I've found out is to not let it sit on the car doing one panel at a time then wiping off. It just looks fantastic. Again apologize for the no pics. I'm tech stupid. I used to use photobucket but they blocked it on our computers. DRAT!

Thinking of heading in this direction as well. I will ask this, do you do entire car then take off as I didn't quite get what you saying about one panel.

  9. Yes, or to keep the overspray to a minimum you can spray it onto your towel and then wipe. Either way is fine.

70% isopropyl alcohol is available at pretty much every grocery and drug store... diluting it with water (about half) will stretch it out some and will still be completely effective at removing waxes, sealants, or polishing oils.

Anyone find in doing above spraying on hood then wiping that it clouded the paint? On polishing as was ok after but seems wierd.

  10. I like to keep things simple, too, and merely do MSS or Spray Sealant once a year, then Americana after every 4 or 5 washes. That works out to every 2-3 months, and the car always has a good layer of protection and a great shine to it.

I like the sounds of this, but have a few questions. Are you doing a baggie test after fives weeks? Surely you would have contaminants in the paint by then? Are you doing two coats of MSS or one?

Safe to say 2-3 coats of Americana by this time no cloudy look, time to strip at this point I would think.

One last question, your not seeing any swirls OR some small amounts even with the greatest of care. On a DD I would think this would be normal in between corrections even with the greatest of care.

  11. I think that's just a YouTube issue. I always have problems with Youtube videos taking FOREVER to stream. It depends a lot on the time of day as well - in the evenings more people are on youtube from all over the world, causing even more buffering.

Yes you are correct but I've never seen it until recently. All my end specs are fine. Not a big issue just one of things that make you go Hmmm...

    thanks

  12. Is anyone who has watched the new 2012 videos from Adam getting alot of buffering while watching. ANd if so what settings have you changed on your PC.

Most youtube vids are fine it only seems to be the Adams one from the site. I'm wondering if it is a server side issue at there end.
