  1. Steve I just got an Elite and I am selling my 20gb model if you are interested (only mentioning this because you live close by). It still has about a year left on the warranty and has never red ringed gotta make room for this bad boy
  2. You spray the suds onto the car allowing the soap to break up the dirt, instead of wiping the suds onto the dirty surface which could cause scratching. I'm gonna try out the one Bill has, it's on Amazon for $40.
  3. Hi Bill Usually within 24 hours you get an email from UPS with your tracking number. After that it takes about 5 business days to get from Adam's to CT. What city do you live in?
  4. top gift so far:glasses:
  5. Thanks everybody. My birthday wish was for it to be warm enough to wash my car...hasn't happened yet! Thanks again

I tried searching through that site before but I can only locate my mother's side. My grandfather on my father's side was one of ten ("they didn't have TV back then so you needed to do something to keep busy") and they didn't all come over at once, so the spellings of some of their last names are different than mine. My grandfather always mentions the part in The Godfather II when young Vito comes to America and the guy at Ellis gives him a new name.

'ey how yous guys doin? I was raised to believe that eating pasta on a paper plate was sin, all 4 of my grandparents were born in Italy unfortunately three of them passed away before I started high school. My mom makes amazing sauce, but she always says her sauce never comes out as good as her mothers did, she never used recipes or measuring spoons, everything was added by eye, and she never tasted it in the pot to make sure it was coming out right. That's something i wish I could have been able to experience, but at least I have stories like that to hold onto
  13. So did anybody get their shirts in yet? I don't know what size to get...depending on the brand I take either a medium or large.
  14. I wouldn't mind a "little trees" type air freshener, maybe in the shape of your logo or a bottle, that smells like detail spray
  15. He said in another video he got his bucket from Grit Guard. I just watched the tires/wheels one and he goes "if you miss any spots on the wheels just run your finger around and you'll get it off"
  16. Just look around at the pics people have posted on the forums and you'll be convinced!
  17. If the vehicle you plan on waxing is a daily driver and/or it is exposed to harsh elements or weather, I'd suggest investing in a porter-cable 7424 polisher and use Adam's Machine Superwax. This wax has sealing properties and is more durable and lasts longer than the Buttery Wax (up to 6 months as opposed to 6 weeks). The downside is the Buttery Wax is easier to work with, but the tradeoff is worth it for a vehicle that sees a lot of mother nature. You live in Michigan so you probably know what I'm talking about If you want, get both. Do what I do which is a complete detail in March/April using the Superwax, wash once a week, and every 4-6 weeks lay down a coat of Buttery Wax by hand to maintain the shine and protection. Then another complete detail around October/November to prepare for winter. Either way you can't go wrong and both products will give you fantastic results
  18. You know you have something special when you convert your competitor's customers before they even actually use your products
  19. You can do the whole process minus the Revive. The Fine Machine Polish does the same job however it is more aggressive than the Revive and therefore can get rid of light swirl marks on its own. Depending on the condition of your paint you can use the Swirl & Haze Remove before or combined with the Fine Machine Polish to remove moderate swirls.
  20. Like Mark said make sure they are completely dry before putting them in a plastic bag otherwise the bag will get loaded with condensation. This goes for anything; pads, towels, sponges, or mf applicators. I keep a desiccant pack in both my wash bucket and detail bag just in case
  21. so if we order one now we'll get one with adamspolishes.com ?
  22. Wow what a difference  I hope your garage is heated, with the temps we've had lately I can't imagine what it's like up there
  23. I sent my returns out on Friday. I like working with numbers and I always get money back so I'm one of the few people who enjoy tax time. Finding write-offs is important like you said Rob. For example I receive non-employee compensation from Google through ads I place on websites I maintain, so when I report self-employment income I can deduct the yearly cost for my internet connection as a business expense.
