Black on black, fully loaded with leather:drool: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=261363487&dealer_id=143000&car_year=2005&rdm=1243466261825&model=RAM1504WD&num_records=100&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=2005&keywordsfyc=&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=25&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=y&make=DODGE&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=31324&advanced=&end_year=2005&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=15&standard=false NADA says that RETAIL is $13775, trade in is $11,700. Offered 12 out the door. Dealer said the best he could do was...... wait for it................ $18200 out the door!!!!!!! He said something about KBB:loser: (like I didn't know what I was talking about) I guess all those years as an Army recruiter really DID come in handy:thumbsup: Waiting his call back. 5. I bid on a used Haulmark 6X10 trailer, but was outbid at literally the last second:mad: Still looking for used as the new trailers are out of my budget:o Decided not to use my car due to it's daily driver status ( I also have another job to pay the mortgage) So I'm still stuck in my driveway, which by the way, is where I'm most comfortable anyway:D

    Good News Thread

Good news? This is the first time in 15 straight days that it hasn't rained!!!! But it will rain this evening...... guess that makes 16 straight days of rain...... and foretasted to be 40% or better chance of rain for the next 7 days..... So much for the good news:lol:
  8. David, do you go to GATS? Think there is one GATS, or MATS..... in Tennessee next month? They were talking about it on Roaddog 147 today (Sirius Radio) You should enter your rig.

    Lest we forget

Of the 464 trees now planted for the fallen Soldiers of the Mighty 3rd Infantry Division, I was proud to call 6 of them friends and brothers. You will be missed but NEVER forgotten................ Mods, please setup the link for video....
  10. The problem down here is that if their dash does not shine, you didn't do it. So VRT it is on the dash, if only so I don't have to take the 20 minutes to explain that the lack of shine does not equal lack of protection........ thanks a LOT Armor All......
  11. Dan, he owns a JAG! Who cares what the neighbors think:banana:
  12. I use the CVS $0.99 91% alcohol:thumbsup: I have only made just enough per batch to do the vehicle (12oz spray bottle) and toss the rest.
  13. You need to get one of these From here: https://members.premiereinteractive.com/ows-img/glennbeck/pages/28585/41406.htm (scroll to the bottom) I get more questions about it than any other sticker on the car.... and it goes to this: R
  14. Yes, but dos it HAVE to rain the WHOLE week I get the new wax?
  15. That wasn't an earthquake, it was your neighbors car trying to shake the water off itself. I say introduce him to the new wash pad and white drying towel. Cali will be grateful.
  16. If you have purchased a new car is the past 10 years, it IS foreign. Look at the door sticker. Most say "made in Canada" or " Made in Mexico". I had to go back 13 years to find a car made in Texas. And it is still only 85% US made.(Corvette was NOT an option) Most, if not every vehicle you buy now is "global". Body made in one country from metal in another, electronics from Japan/Korea/Taiwan, Engines are sourced out to 3rd party suppliers. American car companies-- and European, Asian companies respectively, are made and sold in almost every country in the world. Country of origin is where the Head Quarters are, not where the car is made. I also agree that the market determines how successful you are. GM for years has tried to sell us what THEY wanted, not what WE wanted. Federal regulations and that GAWD AWFUL C.A.F.E. have influenced the design of cars to the point that cars are now "cookie cutter" designs.
  17. Update: It has rained off and on all night and throughout the day today:mad: There was a break in the weather around noon, so I decided to dry the car and apply some more wax. All I can say is WOW!! The parts that were waxed last night still look wet, MUCH better than yesterday. Maybe it was the weather and lack of sun yesterday, but it looks better today! 30-40% chance of rain EVERY day for the next 7 days:mad: so the polish will have to wait.
  18. Disclaimer: It has been raining every day since Wed and the car has NOT been washed. Just detail sprayed the areas for wax ONLY everything else is dirty/unwashed. I do not possess the ability to wait when I get a new toy. I HAVE to play with it immediately. Here we go. Detail spray only past the fuel door..... before: After the wax.... the 50/50 line is at the rear of the fuel door.... no before pics of the fender and hood, so here are the afters: and the 50/50 line is that Gawd awful golf ball dent in the hood. Wax to the windshield... and the wax itself. Notice the white ring.... it goes farther down than I am willing to remove........ took a knife and removed the top layer. Maybe it's because it is about 15 seconds from raining again and there is NO sunshine within 500 miles from here to dance off the paint, but I just can't see the difference. I DO feel the difference though. I will wash, clay, polish and wax when the weather breaks. The polish alone usually makes the metal flake "pop" in direct sunlight. Stay tuned:glasses: R
  19. I just went out and tried to do a test run on the new wax, and it's dry. I mean hard as a rock dry. Ran my finger over it and nothing. No wax or oil. Had to scrape off a layer to get to the "wet" stuff. Is this something that I can nuke to soften up?
  20. just got home about 20 min ago and I did the same thing.... took a sliver and rubbed it between my fingers. Compared to the stuff that I've been using, this seems more "waxy?" I don't care what the consistency is, the proof is what it looks like on the paint which I will have on Sunday (if it EVER stops raining)
  21. It's 3000 pounds for the brakes, which is why the 3500 lb axles are rated at 2990lb:) (Same part#, in the 6X12 and under, it's 2990lb and in the 6X14 its 3500lb...... with standard brakes:glasses:) Close! I've got the 2:93 Posi axles.
  22. The wagon was spec'd from the factory with the trailer towing package, so the trans and oil coolers are already there. Was advised on another forum to use ONR and get a 25 gal tank, small generator and work out of my car. Makes sense and could save me about $3500. Would anyone here have "issues" with a detailer showing up at your house and opens a trunk to work? Or would you feel more "comfortable" if he (or she) had a trailer? I understand that the general public has a PERCEPTION as to what professional looks like
  23. I am currently in a fixed location (my house) and lately I have been getting about 50% of my calls asking for mobile services, so I decided to expand. I have been looking for used trailers for the past 30 days- Craigslist, Ebay, the paper, etc. all to no avail, so today I started looking for new trailers. Must haves at this point are barn doors in the rear and a side door, other than that, I'm lost. Here is my problem/question: How do I spec out a trailer? What do I NEED, should have, don't need, etc? I am going to run a 90 gal tank that is 3HX3DX4W, 3.5K Gen set, pressure washer, compressor, etc. I went to 3 dealers in 2 states in the area and have looked at WAY too many companies: Pace American, Diamond, Wells Cargo, et al.... and have been told WAY too much information. 2 wanted to upgrade to 16" centers on the floor, while 1 wanted to go 12". Can't I just mount another 3/4" sheet of plywood on the standard 24" centers? All 3 want to upgrade to pressure treated floors and I want to lay vinyl, 5X8's cost as much as a 6X10, one piece bowed roof compared to standard flat. Brakes; no brakes.... I will also be running no more than 40 miles one way so is a "V" nose a waste? What do I tell the dealer I want/need? BTW, my tow vehicle is a 96 Roadmaster wagon with 5000lb towing capabilities. Sorry for the long post, but I am at a COMPLETE loss. I guess if I had to shorten this, the question would be: If you had a trailer made for you, how would you spec it out? And why?
