  1. I meant that it is seen on white cars lot more. And the wheel cleaner works just as well not diluted.

If thats what you meant then thats what you should have said.

Your posts could confuse someone that is looking to perform

a chemical decon and assume that because their vehicle is not

white then they won't benefit when they actually can.

    to clarify my statements:

Diluting the pink Deep wheel cleaner 1:1 is standard practice

Not sure 100% on the new blue wheel cleaner but i would think you

    wouldd want to as well.

    Less = More

  2. Your car is rough so it needs claying. Claying will remove bonded contaminates. I don't think a decon spray would help very much but it wouldn't hurt. It is more common on white cars.

I would strip wash or wash normally with 1-2 oz APC added. Then I would use the decon, then clay.

Don't let the wheel cleaner dry on the car!

You could also dilute it 1:1 if you want to be safer, and save product.

using an iron removing regiment like dwc and water at a 1:1 ratio is a chemical decontaminating process

using clay or clay alternative is a mechanical decontaminating process

using the chemical process first will aid in the second step of the mechanical process

industrial fallout, brake dust, etc is not color specific.

just because you see it on white better doesn't mean its any less common on a darker vehicle.  it just shows better on white

  3. Wow, that's a bummer to hear this many people are unhappy with Total Interior Detailer. I use it weekly in 2 of my vehicles with no problems. For dashboards, I do spray it into my Edgeless Utility Towel and then wipe the towel on the dashboard, and then immediately flip the towel over to a clean side and wipe again. Two sprays into the towel can usually let me wipe down half of the top-side of a dashboard.

Phil, if the towels haven't been washed in 2 years, I would strongly encourage to wash them or start with some new towels. Even if you don't let the interior get past minor dust and finger prints, 2 years or probably even 2 months of that will make a towel dirty, and then you're partially dragging that dirt and contamination back onto the surface the next time you clean.

ledger64, by all means if you're dumping the product out, please contact us for a refund or credit. We will make things right, but we need to know about it first - orders@adamspolishes.com.

Dan no worries I gave my gallon of it away and only had some of a 16oz bottle left.  Its the only Adams product that in all the years has never worked out for me.  I really tried to get it work right even making sure to wipe down with diluted apc to make sure I had a clean slate.  it just would be blotchy for me.  I have always found that leather conditioner or VRT have worked better for me.

  4. Sounds like some type of contamination.  Maybe you need a better water source if it is cloudy.  Just because you run it until its clear doesn't mean its clean.  Few thoughts come to mind.

    - Be a little less critical to those that are trying to help because they are correct when saying there is nothing in the Adams products that will do that to your paint.  They are very gentle products and are made to enhance and protect your vehicle not damage.

    - Are you using an original Adams spray bottle that has only been used for either DS or HGG?  If using a different or used spray bottle maybe it became contaminated

    - Work in the shade...much easier of an environment to work in both for you and the product

    - Could there have been something in your wash media, soap, or bucket?

    - Best bet is like others have said to contact Adams directly for support.  Good luck it is frustrating but the products you are using are proven winners and they will help you out.

  5. I apologize for calling troll.  It just seemed strange this being your first post and comparing Adam's to Meguiar's .  That's like comparing a Ferrari to a Pinto.   :lolsmack:

But welcome to the forum.   :welcomebanner:  You'll find this place to be full of great info and people.

This is not an accurate statement.  Megs makes many pro grade products including 105 which is quite difficult to work with.  If you are not professionally detailing then using a prosumer product like PCP in an 8 oz container is an excellent option.  8oz of product will last the average hobbyist detailer a long time.  It is a much better option and helps prevent the risk of product expiration.  So the prices went up...did you expect them to go down?

  6. So new to the forum and a new user of Adams products. Ordered some product and just used it for the first time on my daily driver a 2013 BMW 328i.(mineral grey) I picked this car up CPO in March. Cars is in great shape. I used the brilliant glaze followed by Americana wax and what a Finish it left !  in my order I pick up a waterless wash/Towel interior detailer H2O guard and the detail spray. Oh used it on the 2014 Harley as well (also Grey)   :)

    1. how long should the Americana last

    2. What should be my weekly/Bi Weekly process of keeping that nice shine(H20 or detail spray)

    All advice is welcome

Tom welcome to the forum.  I highly recommend for a weekly/bi weekly regiment of a rinseless wash and H20/detail spray.  You can alternate applications of Detail Spray and H2Ogg to your liking.  I tend to use the H20gg a little more often since if im doing a rinseless wash i might as well dry it with H20gg and add more protection.  I tend to use a waterless wash and a detail spray more often for a quick clean and shine.  Where in CT are you at?
