  1. I have a longer lens, and it just makes it look more boring. I like yours better.
  2. Nice. Curious, what is the blacked out hood like? Is there clearcoat on it?
  3. I've found myself a vehicle that actually looks better dirty, than clean, so I really only wash it every 3 weeks or so. And as easy as DS makes drying, this stuff is a whole other level.
  4. I did the Jeep this weekend as well. I did not use the wedge as, well, I forgot I ordered it and didn't open the box until after I was done washing. yeah, I know. Anyway, on to the H2O gloss. Con: The smell could be better. It's kind of hard to see where I hit and where I missed on a white vehicle in the bright Florida sun. That's it. Pros: Smell isn't bad. Makes drying the vehicle stupidly easy. To the point that you don't even really dry it anymore. Leaves zero streaks and no white film on the trim. one question I have, is how often can you use it? Is there any reason to worry about build up if you used it say once per month?
  5. Quick update, The SRT is gone and has been replaced by what some would call a "real Jeep" and others would call a "slow Jeep". haha. I don't really miss the SRT, but I would definitely like to have another one some day. I need a 5 car garage or something. Then I have since changed the front bumper and the rock sliders.
  6. Very nice! I just traded mine in on a Rubicon and I can say, although I don't really miss it, I would love to have another eventually.
  7. Thanks Dylan. I had this issue a little this weekend. I started around 9am while the sun was still somewhat low in the sky and the temps were cooler but I noticed that as it got around 10:30 and the sun broke the trees I started getting a lot of dusting as the panels (black truck) started to heat up rather quickly. Even though the temperature itself was still somewhat cool.
  8. I found Adam's from the 300C SRT forum and I believe it was Dylan that was posting in there. it's been a while. For some reason no one was "advertising" in the Jeep SRT section but the 300 guys had a forum just detailing. My first order was the claybar with detail spray, some foam cubes and a few micro fiber towels. I got a call that the foam blocks were out of stock and because of that they were throwing in a couple of extra micro fibers. I was impressed. THEN I bough the PC detailing kit and had an issue with the order so it was delayed. I emailed asking about it and I got an email back from Adam who not only explained why it was delayed but also gave me his personal number and told me to call him if I had any questions about using it. The freakin owner of the company sends me an email himself about a delayed order and then also gives me his personal cell phone number? Yeah, with customer service like this AND quality stuff, I'd pay double for the products. That was almost 4 years ago...
  9. I did wash the Jeep on Friday but I spend most of the weekend laying pavers.
  10. Thanks guys. Sports Solutions. I love it. you just have to use velcro straps or something to tie the front wheel to the frame or the handlebars turn and the wheel sticks out. If you look close the one on my mtb isn't tight enough so they are turned a bit. Sports Solutions BUA Bike Storage Rack at Price Point Yep, race deck. They are having a sale right now as well. Funny thing is that I bought mine literally a week before the laborday sale and when I email them asking about getting a discount I get no reply. Definitely not the Adams customer service. Hey Dave. Actually the walls were just painted. I know you can't tell, but look above at the old photos and you can def see the difference. I went iwth a bright white for exactly the problem you are having. I only have one light in there right now so I wanted the walls are bright as I could get them. I'm also ordering diamond plate corner guards for the three corners in the back, a kick plate for the door and then the face of the concrete step where the washer/dryer is and along the back wall I'm going to put diamon plate as well to hide the bare concrete. Texas garages (google it, I forget the exact web site) sells all kinds of diamond plating.
  11. Thanks May. My long term goal is to eventually either put a flush mount lift in the floor from Bentpak or gut the attic and make it a high ceiling so I can put a small lift in that can raise the truck high enough to comfortably work on. Oh, and I also ordered my race deck flooring today so that should be in NEXT weekend. I'll take more photos as I get it cleaned up and added to.
  12. Man, it's been a LONG time. So we finally bought a house (closed a month ago) and I finally have my garage. It's still in progress and being used to do other projects around the house so it was cluttered when I took the latest photos, but you can get the idea. So here is how it started when I bought the house. Basic shelves and in need of some minor maintenance. The truck barely even fit in. So first I had to get the concrete pad the old owners put in cut ad partially removed. My truck fit in with it but the car didn't. if you note where it meets up with the door it was also a huge tripping hazzard. Then I sprayed the walls with new paint, and we got a new hotwater heater. Washer/dryer will come later. I took all the shelving out on the one side and bought two cabinets. One for car cleaning supplies and one for tools and such. We are in the process of having impact windows put in the house as well so once those are in I can get rid of the hurricane shutters on top of the shelves on the other side and replace them with two 48" cabinets like these. Then once the washer/dryer is in I'm also goign to add one or two 30" wall cabinets over them as well. car cleaning supplies. Also I see my camera was focus challenged on this shot for some reason. I actually got the handing brush idea from here. It's hard to see with all the crap but I also have a couple of shelves low on that far wall for the recycle bins. And the roll away tool chest actually sits up next to the HW heater but I took it down to paint the wall and now there is baseboard in the way being stained. haha.
  13. I took it one step further and just had myblack plastic painted and cleared. but I did use the APC before and it worked great.
  14. <---- south florida. If you ant to heat the garage up just open the door.
  15. well I tried the DS after today and it def came out looking better. as for the black, I just mean it shows everything and only stays clean for about 3.4 seconds.
  16. I'll have to give that a try. And it was on black so of course it's the hardest to wrk with...
  17. That is the one thing I didn't do. I sort of buffed it out with the WCW MF towel as I went along but it just doesn't sound right. And being that I got good results on the other car, and everyone raves about it (plus I've never had a single problem with any other Adam's product) I think this is more of a case of I'm doing something wrong than anything else.
  18. I am not happy with the WCW but am I doing something wrong? I used it on my blue honda and it seemed to work great. I used it on the black Jeep and I saw two things. 1) is seems to leave overspray quite a bit. 2) maybe I'm not wiping it down good enough but this morning (day after wiping the hood and fenders down) there looks to b a flim on the paint where the dew formed. I am using the blue WCW towels but I ca see the film and streaks. Do you all go back over the area with a MF after using the WCW?
  19. I'll have to click when I get home. that site is blocked here at work. don't ask. I'm blocked from helping animals or looking up Unix commands but I can look at the forums and photobucket.
  20. wow, no wonder you have so much room. I wish the lift woud work for me but the truck wouln't work on top or below it. And the bedroom/office will be above the garage so I can't go up either.
  21. chris, totally off the subject, but can you tell me how wide your garage is? looks like you have plenty of room between the cars and I'm just wondering if I'm going ot have that much room in mine. Mine is 17' wide and that sounds big enough at first but when I run the numbers it only leaves me about 3 feet.
  22. Chris I am still amazed at the interior. It looks brand new. I really need to do a full detail on my jeep and clean the inside of the honda.
  23. sorry to bring back a slightly older thread but I also have a question about orderng separates. I have everything I need right now but I've noticed that the only way to get the yellow (aggresive) pad is to buy it in the big kit. It's not available in the pad set (which is what I bought last year) or as a separate. is there a reason for this and can Adam's add it onto the site as a separate pad? This is what I'm talking about. Note the ellow pad is in this kit. http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-338-adams-7424xp-dual-action-car-polishing-kit.aspx It's actually also included if you buy the 4" spot kit. http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-430-adams-4-spot-pad-buffing-kit-new.aspx but not in the larger GenII kit. http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-330-adams-dual-action-foam-pad-kit-w-free-4oz-apc.aspx
