  1. I gotta say I love those rims! I love the contrast of colors from all black to a glowing silver. Beautiful
  2. yeah, thats always been my favorite color on them! Especially that body style!
  3. Awesome, I knew that mine just wasn't working the way it was designed. Cause I almost missed my old cheap one at times and just knew that shouldn't be the case. Hopefully I can try the fix soon, thanks for taking the time to look into this.
  4. My kit was like $150 if I remember correctly.
  5. Heres the only pic I have of the outside right now.
  6. Thanks boys, appreciate it! And thanks John for that bulb type.
  7. I am very happy with the color (5K), when fired up its blue, then warms up after 10-15 seconds and turns a pretty white. They look awesome in the sierra housings. I adjusted them down a touch, and tested them on the road, didn't seem to bad on blinding light. Had my father in law sit in his truck while I drove past and he said it was fine. The sierra housing has a good cutoff built in I guess.
  8. Alright, as promised we installed the hid's tonight. After we figured out the best way we just took the air filter out and squeezed our fingers in there. It was tight and tedious but we got it. We tried the inner fender way but ran into some liners that even my father in law didn't expect that made it really tough. Not sure if its something with the denali or what but he never seen it before. Being that we did it that way I didn't get to put the chrome parking lights in, just can't get to it without removing the fixtures. Also I must have bought the wrong fog bulbs so my pics are with stock fogs. Took us about 2 hours total with some trial and errors. I say we could do it in half the time now that we know. 9. No its actually this friday, hopefully I will get some good before and after pics!
  10. I really appreciate that offer, I will take you up on that if I just can't figure it out. But I suspect we should be ok!
  11. I already have a set I got from spencershids.com, but those you found look nice! I wish I had projectors but I don't have the time or maybe the skill to install those in my headlights, and I don't want aftermarket cheap headlights. I hope to be able to aim them so they aren't blinding.
  12. Thanks guys, I'm sure it will be tedious. I hope we don't run into many problems. I'm sure my father in law will know the easiest way to get to the headlights, but in many cases on the new sierra you have to either take off the bumper or grill. Sometimes you can reach in from the fender liner so we shall see. Not sure why they make it so hard to get to. It is an HID kit with the balasts and all. I plan on removing the drl fuses to avoid that problem. So with possibly reversing the polarity, is it just trial and error, basically test before I put everything back together? I assume it will be immediately obvious theres a problem with it when I turn them on?
  13. So I bought an HID kit late fall and hopefully I will be installing them this friday on my Sierra Denali. I got the 5k's for my lo beams, and I will be putting silverstars in the fogs, and the chrome turn signal bulbs in that light up orange. I chose to not do the fogs HID also because I like my mods to keep a factory look, and to me fog HIDs scream custom. I want people to think it came that way from the factory, or hopefully anyways. Even though usually they look great matching each other, just not wanting that look right now. My father in law offered to help me with the job, great because he's a GM mechanic and has been for like 40 years. So he will be able to help me with getting to the lights because i hear its a real pain taking out the headlights, also will be clutch in trying to aim them correctly so that I won't blind people too badly. But he is not really up on mods, he's a straight forward kinda guy, so custom things aren't up his alley. So if anyone has any advice or tips I greatly appreciate it. I do plan on pulling the DRL fuses so that they won't try to run in daytime.

    Plastidip

yeah, I knew about the applications, just pointing out that they have a transparent smoke version that I guess is new, haha. Wonder how well it looks on something like chrome trim or rims. Might look cool!

  16. haha, I know, before using this stuff, I'm not sure how I drove around with chalky wheel wells.
  17. oops, just saw the pic of a platform! haha, looks good too
  18. how cool would it be if it had a removeable small table platform that mounted to it reaching up a few feet to sit products on, maybe a few hooks for towels!
  19. yeah, thats all they do really is performance type setups. Racing and handling is there thing. Not really aesthetics, but its cool for that too. They don't do 4x4, but they have started doing atv type vehicles I believe.
  20. Then you'd love where I live, RideTech (air ride technologies) is located in my small town! I get to see some of there rides occasionally. The owner and many of there employees eat at my restaurant probably weekly.
  21. Sounds like they like you if they dont have to give you any cash! haha. We usually get a nice return, but I think it may go to modding the house! The roof probably needs replaced, quote came back at about $15k :jawdrop: And I am thinking about possibly adding a closet in the master bedroom if I can get it done reasonably. I have no idea what that may cost, have to add it to the outside of the house, no room on the inside!
  22. Lol you've got the right idea man! It gets harder to spend on vehicles when theres kids in the picture. But its a gradual thing and you kind of just evolve. But you look to have things going pretty good financially so I think you might be able to swing some mods every now and then after kids arrive.
  23. Dude I wish I had your mod budget, but for now most of my cash goes to the kids! haha. After the new 22s and corsa duals I'm pretty much cashed out! But I do have an HID kit sitting on the shelf I need to install sometime. Nothing major but it will hold me over for a while. Oh almost forgot I need to get a baby seat base for my truck put in, does that count as a mod? lol Have fun with yours, looking forward to seeing the wheels and bags!
  24. Two of my good buddies and I are starting a small brewery in my Restaurant. Its gonna be a very small venture at first just supplying my restaurant for now. We don't have any brew pubs in our town so we will be first. The name is Basket Case Brewing and it will be in the Mill House Restaurant in Jasper In. We are starting with a Mill House Ale and will hopefully add a nut brown shortly after if not at the same time here in january we hope. The name has some musical background, and the beer names will too. The real name of the Ale will be Revolution Ale, but in my restaurant it will be the house beer "Mill House Ale". I am very excited about this venture and hope it grows into something. Can't wait to roll it out!
