  1. So generally my firebird sits in the garage, I get it out on nice days from time to time as much as I can I usually just waterless wash and detail spray it. But the other day I was putting some svrt on the tires and shined the rims a bit and started thinking it seemed like I should clean the tires better every now and then plus maybe the car. So ? is this, do any of you with older classic cars or newer classics I guess too, ever water wash them every now and then? Even if its once a year or two? Just kinda curious to hear the comments on this.
  2. I haven't drove others, the raptor does look cool. I have a Denali crew and love it! It's pretty fast although seems weird hot rodding around since its a truck. I'd recommend it!
  3. I would love to make the same business move one day when we are out of the restaurant and catering business. That car looks fantastic for what little time you put in it!
  4. Very cool, I had dents like that, PDR did a good job, then a nice spray in over rails covered everything
  5. I think this should be tomorrows daily special!
  6. nice work! I love that body style, never did own one though.
  7. I had a road bike stolen last year from a parking lot at a restaurant. Next day I went to the pawn shop, only one in town. The kid had just left there, tried to pawn it, but a guy there shopping bought it from him for $50. Its a $700 bike. I saw it all on video he had there. Luckily the pawn shop guy saw the kid the next day called cops and arrested him. Although I doubt he got much out of it. But glad he got caught. Although, I never got my bike back.
  8. Feeling this one, caught a glimpse of it in the background of one of your other car pics the other day!
  9. I must say, I love the new look of the Camaro, but never really desired to own one, til I drove past our local chevy dealer 2 days ago and saw a Yellow ZL1 Convertible with black wheels and black top. Well played chevy.
  10. Has a tanish gold interior, original color. The exterior was also originally gold type color. I will miss not being able to mod it, just have to stick to things that are easily reversible and keep the things I take out.
  11. Well, been crazy busy at our restaurant the past month or so, with little free time for cars. But today I made contact with the previous owner for the first time, he owned the car about 20 something years. He was a nice guy, has a race/repair shop from what I gather. He rebuilt everything drivetrain wise, put a comp cam in, said the motor was great and told me it needed nothing but maybe headers and a new distributor. He had another place do body work and paint, but said it had pretty much all original sheet metal. But the best news he had for me was that it had the original motor, tranny, and rear end! This is great because even though I will drive this car when nice. Its still a place to park my money, lord knows the banks won't give you anything to let them borrow your money. I still hope to get some time in with my new flex and polish her up a bit, then seal it. I hope to share some new pics in the future.
  12. When I was younger I use to get it but lately, just the random "mines next" line, but thats cool. The wife knows the deal so she's cool, unless the kids are acting the fools is the only time she really cares about me being out there. But nowadays I'm not washing them like I use to, just no time with a business and 3 little kids, so thats prob some of it. A lot of times I wash at random times so a lot of my neighbors are at work! lol
  13. I'm with Brian, very nice car, but I'm biased! I'm feeling the color, and the engine!
  14. Man this is gonna be awesome, can't wait til its done. I have gotten the bug, found a 71 pontiac 455 motor from a GTO that I would love to buy and put in the 69 Firebird.
  15. Sweet! My birthday! Although I'm not ready for our Sierra and Yukon denalis to be the old models now.
  16. I figure I'll have to plan for some upgrades later, as like mentioned, there will be a budget and I want to make sure I get the basics in that are $$ to add later. Things I'm thinking now: plan for heat later plenty of outlets and lights insulate, although not sure yet on inner or outer materials. plumbing for sinks and toilet Not sure I'll have room for a dedicated wash bay, unless I can park on it too. I'd like some upper attic storage with some real stairs up to them I think. 2 single garage doors on front, or one real wide one, with deep bays for more storage. Possibly a small mower door off the back, since Ill have a big mower to tackle 6 acres I wish I could go real big but I'm lucky to even be getting a detached, there will be a 2.5-3 car built on the house for our dailys and kids stuff The detached is for my toys, which includes, 1 now, or maybe 2 vehicles later, big mower, and hopefully some yard toys later, like atv's or golf carts. Guess I could maybe do a small carport thing off the back hidden to cover some of the cheaper toys.
  17. Thanks, exactly what I wanted to hear! Keep them coming. Any special materials to allow for winter car washing?
  18. So my wife and I are in the process of buying 5 to 6 acres to build on in the near future. We are thinking of going ahead and putting a dam in for a pond with a gravel drive over the damn running up to the house site for now til we can asphalt it later. We think it may be smart to go ahead and build a detached garage beside where the house will be so we can move things out there in case we need to move out of our current house if we sell before we are done building. The house will have a 2-3 car garage on it for everyday drivers and kids crap, I mean toys. So basically I may have the go ahead to build me a man cave. Nothing fancy really just an extra deep 2 car garage to put my toys in and a big mower. Currently I have an extra car to store, but may add to that later, I'll need a big a$$ mower, and I would bet atv's someday. We don't have extra cash right now to go very elaborate with it, since we are focusing on the land and house. So what I am wondering is are there any cool features that are cheap or free that I should keep in mind when building this thing. I figure, if we all know cars, most of us know garages too, lol! Also if I can't do them now, I can atleast plan for adding them later more conveniently after construction when $ allows. Just brainstorming for fun here, throw out some cool ideas!
  19. yes, in short, i believe that why its called IN and Out Spray. Its great on those little nooks
  20. But there is always that saying. You never see a depressed person riding a jet ski! Or something to that effect.
  21. I do know people like that. It doesn't buy happiness but does relieve everyday stresses that we all know. On that same token it can create new unthought of stresses that $ can create. Hence why some people like to keep it to themselves. Imagine if a person comes to your door and has an illness for example, and wants your help financially. Do you help? If so what about the next person, and so on. Saying no with the knowledge of the fact that you probably could help is hard. Not to mention not knowing if people are your friend for who you are or the $. I'm sure keeping everyone grounded within your inner circle could also create new challenges.
