  1. Sometimes I'll use my old absorber towel and get the windows and nooks that retain water real quick to save the Great white dome saturation
  2. Yeah that dealer had a handful of really nicely done cars, but a descent chunk were a little rough. But still fun to look through them all, good variety if nothing else. I did feel the firebird stood out a bit in the condition category there. Although he did have a very nice yenko camaro in there. I do wish it had the 400 as previously mentioned, my dad has a 69 vert with the original 400 in it, so I know what I'm missing! haha. If its the original engine I will leave it be, but if its not, I may tinker with that down the road some day.
  3. Thanks everyone! I am leaning towards keeping it, for now atleast. I managed to slip out and waterless wash it, and then some detail spray, mostly to get a little intimate with the paint, see how it looks. It really has a great paint job on it, that white just really pops. Kind of nice to have a low maintenance color, I've never owned white before. Maybe soon I can polish and wax it, then some more pics!
  4. So been kinda searching for a classic car. Came across one on ebay, as I usually do! I bid on it and actually hit the reserve and won, to my surprise cause I personally think I stole it! He has the car priced on the lot, $11,000 more than I paid for it, and internet price was like $14k more than I paid. So today I borrowed my neighbors sweet car hauler, and went on the 2 hour drive, picked up my Dad half way and we went to check it out. The place is literally across the street from the corvette museum in bowling green ky. So yes we visited it too! So arriving at the dealer (he basically just sells classic cars) it was sitting outside waiting for us to check out. We looked it over, I'm not gonna lie, it looked awesome, totally restored everywhere! Paint is great, but I think I can get it better! haha! Interior is basically new, under hood looks new, and so does the trunk. We went in checked out all his other cars. Went back out drove it, looked it over again, went in, paid, loaded it up, and proceeded to the vette museum. The Museum was pretty cool, I bet even cooler if you are big vette fan. Then drove home and unloaded, then soaked in the new car in the driveway feeling as random neighbors and my kids checked it out through the evening. I still need to study on it, see if it could be numbers matching, not sure, or original color. But I did get the original owners name so that could help. So its a 69 Firebird 350-4 with an automatic. Has AC, PB, PS, 123k miles, but fully restored and rbuilt. I originally was planning on taking it to Barrett Jackson in January and flipping it, but my Dad thinks I should just keep it for a bit and enjoy it so we shall see. I'll get better pics sometime, but heres some teasers!
  5. I first bought dre ear buds, they sound amazing but fall out while running. Then I went with the dre over the ear buds. Those sound good but not as great as the tours, they dont block out all noise (intentional). But stay in your ears! Those are my choice, been using them for two years.
  6. I always loved those older Denali trucks! Good luck!
  7. Its crazy I never realized how rare these were back in the day. My father in law came over to see it, he's been a gm mechanic since the early 70's at the same place and was/is quite the car guy. While he was looking at it he says "thats the first Nomad I've seen in person"! I was like WHAT? Are you serious!
  8. This may look familiar, as I've posted pics of it before. I borrowed it from my Dad about a month ago to play with and then detail for him. Not that its in bad shape, just needs a little lovin! This pic was after I got it home I washed it real quick, it was kinda dusty. So stay tuned here in the next week or so I plan to start working on it a bit. Oh yeah, its a 56 Nomad restomod, 427 big block 6 speed.
  9. Wow, haven't been on much lately, busy! But your car looks crazy awesome man! Totally transformed that thing. Usually when I get bored of a look on my rides, I sell em. But you, stuck with it, switched it up and created a whole new car! Very nice
  10. gotta love them Hoes! Looks great!
  11. Dang, I'm only 2 hours from indy, but we have local festival that weekend here in Jasper (The Strassenfest) that I just can't get away from. Plus I don't own a Camaro, lol.
  12. Anybody try any Adams products on oakley lenses? I saw where you could use brasso, but thought Id ask about Adams stuff. I figure maybe try fine machine polish. I don't have revive. On a side note I put some spray sealant on my Rayban Wayfarer glasses and it helped the water blow off while at the water park!
  13. Yes, I wipe mine with waterless wash weekly or so, then maybe twice a month I hit them with quick sealant. They still look great! And it's quick and easy to do.
  14. go here and like my comment, http://www.facebook.com/MeyerDistributing Its the post that starts like, Huge Bully Dog contest ends in 15 hours I'm like 6 down, BJoe Aull. THanks in advance!
  15. I haven't been a huge fan of new Camaros, they are nice and all, just not much desire for one. But I wan't that car! Very nice!
  16. Wow, I wouldn't touch my wheel wells with that nasty rag and he put it back on the paint! I am pretty sure you can hear the paint scratching when he ran that rag down the hood! haha
  17. Looks great, but you gotta find her a new gas lid! lol Nice turn around on the lenses, its the little things!
  18. Well I was 16 back in 95, so where do I start, haha Supra 300zx 3000gt All turbos of course! Range Rover At the time I felt pretty cool rollin my 90 red grand prix 2 door! I liked it so much I bought my next dream car when I graduated in 97, a 97 Red 2 door GTP grand prix. Now that was a car!
  19. Good decision, that was my thread you remember. I was amazed at how serious and powerful the comments got. Just from my little question about wanting a bike! But I'm about 75% over the desire to get one, could have saved my life and I will never know it.
  20. Wow, impressive! It would be really cool if the GM dealers would carry a small sampling of basic products. Thats a huge new avenue to sell products. And hey, more production could bring prices down too, haha, one can dream! lol
  21. I originally bought it for my dads garage queens, but found myself using it more than I thought I would. When my cars are lightly dirty, or dusty, not after a rain type dirty, I'll use it to clean them real quick, much faster than getting the hose out sometimes.
