Washing microfiber towels
Redvenm replied to RickP330's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I never worry about it, after soaking overnight, much of the grime is removed. There have been a couple of times that the agitator in the middle had some crud on it, I simply took some APC and cleaned it off. If you are overly concerned I suppose you can run a cycle with just hot water and some soap to clean it out. -
Yup, I think I see a small spot that was missed. Unless that is some dust on the lens. Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using Tapatalk 2

Adam's Wheel Woolie Wheel Cleaning Tools
Redvenm replied to Team Adam's's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
Oh my gosh, I am feelin bad for the ole Turbo Stick. Kinda sounding like an evil stepchild. I still love my Turbo Stick, does a great job on the deep wheels sporting my vette around. -
It is fantastic, am I the only one who knows this?

I love the MB. I take the few extra minutes and get 98% of everything on my vette. I does a great job on wheels and around lug nuts. I love it. Excellent under hood as well.I still break my sidekick out for a quick pollen dusting. -

Storage and use concerns
Redvenm replied to s_morrison57's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I follow exactly the same thought process. As far as the freezing goes, sure it may be a concern, here is what I did. I put most of my stuff inside this last winter and left one bottle of each in the garage to see if it actually froze. It did not. Sure Colorado may be a bit more mild than other places in the middle of winter, but for me there didn't seem tp be a problem. My garage is not heated but is attached to the house and I think there is enough heat coming from the house to keep it from getting terribly cold. -
Road Trip detail necessities
Redvenm replied to jcarr's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I have had the same kind of tripdreading the filth the road brings. Use caution not to clean without the proper equipment. On my trip I loaded up my detail bag and actually used very little due to fear of scratches. Ended up using mostly WW to loosen bugs and drove to a coin wash using only water. The attempt to dry was somewhat fulfilling as I tried to use all my gears goin down the highway. -
Redeemable point system?
Redvenm replied to Sandalwood's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Not a forum war by any means more likely strong ideas from different ends of the spectrum. I am a small business owner and that likely drives my point of view. I will use todays special as another example of many. Free I&O spray. $15.00 savings on a very small purchase. Most dealers will honor this and with a visit to one the shipping will be saved. So with everything else Adam does... I simply can't fathom why this isn't enough and why he should "give" us more. Let's say he does decide to to something...a year from now when this point/bonus system is old....then what, he has to give us even more free stuff? I don't get it. -
Double Soft or Single Soft Question
Redvenm replied to TR6speed's question in Towels, Brushes, & Accessories
I think it is mostly a personal preference. Both are very soft and work great. I prefer DS, have abt 35 of them and only 2 SS. -
Well said!!! Welcome! What kind of microfiber towels are you using?

Thanks I have the same issue on my vette and was wondering how to resolve it. Will try this weekend.

Redeemable point system?
Redvenm replied to Sandalwood's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Interesting thought although it seems highly unlikely that a point/bonus system would come anywhere close to increasing sales to the levels Adam would need to purchase much larger quantities from his suppliers therefore lowering his cost to justify this program. I use the 2 current bonus system Adam brilliantly has in place now. 1.I follow the daily bonus and load up on items he has a deal on that I need. The current one gives $15.00 of free Single Softs away. That is a great deal!!! 2. As most of us know there is always a great holiday bonus allowing for significant savings. Then I really save big bucks and very happy they are available. I do believe there is one of those right around the corner. Anyone looking for a bonus may want to consider the one coming up. -
No No No!!! If you don't touch the paint, you can't scratch the paint.

Redeemable point system?
Redvenm replied to Sandalwood's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Ok, I get it. There seems to be a never ending quest to get more more more. Everybody likes a deal. As do I. I love a great bargain (tho I for one feel I get that here with things as is) How much would it cost to get expert advice from true professionals if you were to pay by the hour to get questions answered to keep our rides as beautiful as we desire? Let's compare just this one percs that we get here for free, to a mechanic and their rates, or an IT guy/ computer repair guy, attorney, doctor etc. Here it is all free! Everyone here is certainly bright enough to realize any system created to ultimately give away free product will have a cost associated with it. So who pays for this? And How? Pick one. 1. Us, with higher priced products 2. Us, having same priced products but Adam eliminates clinics and the money saved he can give us free stuff. 3. Adams employees, I dont want to lose the clinics, Adam should cut the pay for his employees so we can get free stuff. 4. All Adams suppliers, he could outsourse many of his products, send his business overseas like Walmart, lower his cost so he can give us free stuff. 5. Adam, he should just eat this cost because workers comp, taxes, payroll matching etc are so insignificant he can afford it. 6. Naaaa! I see the value in everything Adam has created, I do not need more free stuff. Keep up the good work Adam. As stated earlier, everyone loves a great deal, myself included. I feel if it is not broken, don't fix. -
The brake dust just kills me! Gonna have to try QS on my wheels.
