  1. What's your method on the center console and steering wheel on the V?
  2. Nice!!! I love the wheel and brake combo GM went with on the Z28's.
  3. That's a good idea too. Cut out a round piece the size of the wheel
  4. What if you try it in a 4 oz bottle?
  5. Spraying doesn't work well on low profile tires. It's much easier to spray it onto a sponge or put a pour top on to pour it onto a sponge and apply.
  6. I can't say that they are for certain, I wasn't on this earth then. Honestly, I don't know what they would be coated in other than paint...unless the vehicle has been undercoated for rust protection.
  7. Most of the underside components are also painted/powdercoated. I've cleaned my lower control arms and panhard bar on the SS with a utility microfiber and waterless wash or APC. Deep wheel cleaner has no use since it attacks metallic particles in brake dust. You could put it up on a lift and wash it just like the exterior if you wanted to.
  8. Have you tried APC on a utility microfiber? Actually, have you tried anything to clean it yet?
  9. Glaze. They can be used for wax as well, but I prefer to use a red hand hex grip for waxing.
  10. I'm sure you probably received a few weird looks with the front end taped up that much. Lol.
  11. I personally like the blue and red Americana apps, especially for glaze and Americana. Not like you need to apply a lot of pressure for either of those products anyway, so the softness is nice and comfortable in the hand.
  12. There have been many posts on here about putting it in boiling water to help melt it. I think a microwave might be too harsh.
  13. Claying is definitely a process that requires pressure to remove the stubborn contaminants. A simple swipe of the clay on the surface will barely remove anything. As mentioned already, just make sure to use enough lube so that the clay doesn't stick and mar the paint. I had this happen before I used Adams and couldn't figure out why, then I decided to actually learn about detailing and figured it out. Luckily, marring can be removed.
  14. That's a good suggestion. The spoiler needs repainted on it also. It had some paint chip off a year after I bought it and I've just never bothered getting it repainted as I'm afraid the color will be off or I'll have to get the fenders blended to match. Plus I only notice it while washing it and I don't drive it that much anymore.
  15. I'm not comfortable with wetsanding, so looks like I won't be doing it on my own.
  16. Well, I was an idiot and decided to move my car this morning without putting my contacts in and tapped the garage. Can this be wetsanded and polished out? I tried PCP on a foam pad with a drill, didn't even put a dent in it.
  17. This might sound crazy too, but you could also try clay followed with glass cleaner.
  18. You are right in line with what you need to do. Everyone has provided you with excellent information. The only thing I would add is this: you might not see the results you want after just one pass of PFP. Don't panic and think you have to go out and purchase a heavier cut product, simply do another pass or 2 to see if that does the trick. At this point, if you aren't making headway, is when I would say you should consider stepping up to a better cutting product.
  19. Aaaah. I never looked into the FWD 2014's. All of the ones I've looked at were AWD ones.
  20. You could get them in a manual in 2012 and early 2013, but I think they've gone to strictly shiftable autos.
  21. If they're tinted, don't do it. If they aren't tinted, I see no issue.
  22. "That's not a Buick!" "That's what I told him!" Lol. I test drove a '13 GS and liked it. I think it had been sitting on the lot for a little while as the tranny seemed sluggish, or maybe I'm just used to my SS with the line pressure turned up. But overall a really nice feel. I like the look of the '14s gauge cluster way more than the '13, but I'm not sure I could justify paying $45k+ on a Buick. Also, if a girl doesn't like loud cars and the smell of raw fuel, you're picking up the wrong type of girl! Lol. I guess I'm lucky enough that my girlfriend likes loud cars and the smell of my SS's exhaust. (It runs slightly rich).
