The winters here in Chicago get pretty brutal so every little bit of protection I can apply, I do.
Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 50s so I will do a pretty thorough wash followed by quick sealant. I won't strip anything since even though the quick sealant will be on top of my H2O and Buttery layer, it will still last at least a month. I will then continue with rinseless washes probably once a week with an application of H2O every 2 weeks or so.
Now Adam's just needs to come out with some kind of armor plating for the lower 1/3 of the car to protect it from the massive amounts of salt chunks and pieces of roadway that I drive through every winter up here

That sounds like my wife's family also. That's a good idea sending them a broad list so you don't know exactly what you're getting.
I also asked for Adam's from my wife... I asked for a blaster sidekick and upgraded my request to a B3-CD when Adam's started carrying it.
Ha! I've asked for the Blaster Sidekick for the past 3 years! From everyone including my wife haha. No dice.
I put it on my list again this year

Oh, ok! Even easier. This is the first winter after the release of the H2O GG. Guess I was just used to the regular old pre-H20 routine I would always follow.
It is my daily driver so I'll just change my winter process to Rinseless followed by H20 and/or Buttery God bless H2O GG.
Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Hey guys,
I need some advice. Now that the hose is put away for winter, I will be doing rinseless washes until spring. That being said, I want to strip the H2O Guard&Gloss and Buttery off of my G8 so that I can put down a couple layers of Quick Sealant on the bare paint for winter.
Typically I would add APC to my wash bucket and let it do it's job. With the rinseless wash, can I follow the same procedure? Add 4 oz. to the rinseless bucket and continue as normal? Any other recommended way to strip wash without a shampoo bucket?
Thanks!

Did it not work absolutely awesome and efficiently to do that Ryan or what?
Yep, it worked flawlessly! The pictures don't do it justice. Thank you so much!

I honestly don't care that my neighbors would be looking at me like I was crazy.
Haha, I guarantee my neighbors were thinking I was ridiculous when I started spraying the car in the driveway last night.

Great! Thanks guys, much appreciated. Always nice to have some reassurance on my plan of attack from the pros.
I know what I'm doing tonight now

With the recent time change, it is now full night by the time I get home from work. So I can't really do a full wash in the driveway when I get home due to no real light source.
I want my G8 to look good for this Saturday, but it's rained all weekend and the first half of this week so she's pretty rain-dirty. My question:
What is everyone's opinion on rinsing the car, then foaming the car with Adam's foam gun (making a few passes around the car), then pulling it into the garage and rinseless washing while the car is still foamed?
Bad idea? Safe?
All summer I've kept up a constant H20 G&G on her every other wash and a month or so ago put on a coat of buttery. In case that makes any difference in everyone's opinions on what you would do.
Thanks,
Ryan

Gary (landshark), that garage is pretty awesome!
Question: What kind of flooring is that?

I've gotten some ridiculous things to disappear completely with Goof Off. Don't let it dry on your paint though.
-
did you paint your roof or is that a wrap??
It's wrapped.

Thanks!

Whoohoo, my order is in there somewhere:)

Thanks guys!

Just a simple 2-bucket wash and wax with some VRT icing.
Used the "old" red shampoo, 2 wash pads, 2 buckets with grit guards for the wash. Then 2 great whites for the drying, before moving to a coat of Buttery and finishing it off with VRT on the tires and trim. Great excuse to be outside yesterday!

I use an Adam's single-soft wrapped around a sturdy-handled spatula. Works flawlessly at getting the far down interior part of the windshield and rear window in my G8.

The stuff is softer than a stick of butter on a Las Vegas sidewalk in August, so it will take damage pretty easily too, so handle with care.
This made me me lol

Nice! Thanks:)

Is it ok to dress plastidipped trim with SVRT for beading/protection purposes?
Yes, I realize I am wanting to protect the protection, haha, but bear with me.

Too bad their performance is lacking IMO. It should be more on par with something like the Pontiac G8 GXP/Chevy SS.
Agreed.

Anti-fog on helmet visor

Hey guys,
Which would be the best for keeping the inside surface of the visor on my helmet from fogging up:
Buttery Wax
H2O GG
Quick Sealant
something else
Thanks!
