  1. There is nothing wrong with staying single....said by the guy married 12 years with 2 daughters, and not enough toys for the work I do. I am, however, well stocked with Adam's! VetteGirl, don't feel too bad for Bill not making any overtime. He's doing ok.
  2. That looks spectacular Bill. You have been polishing that thing for a week. Now go take a hot lap in that beast!
  3. Put that last picture of the truck in the picture of the month contest and you get my vote. That looks mint.
  4. Put that last picture of the truck in the picture of the month contest and you get my vote. That looks mint.
  5. Perhaps you could learn the correct process for the Americana so that you can make, package, and ship it out from the East Coast. This would allow for increased production and quicker time to market. Perhaps even a limited edition "C6Bill" enhanced Americana....
  6. UPS tells me that mine will be here on Friday! Perhaps I won't be painting my deck this weekend as planned... The only bad thing is that the pollen is like a snow storm up now. I need to wait for that to chill out before I can get a good detail on.
  7. I recommend the Green Wheel Cleaner and the Boar's Hair brush. I was a bit unsure of buying what I considered to be an expensive brush...but it is worth it. I'm sure it would work just great on either of your machines. Welcome to the site and enjoy.
  8. I am not the most patient person in the world. So long as I have it for the long weekend I'll be fine. I have a bunch of polishing to do before this wax gets near either of our vehicles.
  9. Nice move on the Apple laptop for your bride Adam! I work in IT....no Apples @ work but I have one at home and love it. If she has a chance taking a class, or two, at the local Apple store is time well spent. My grandmother got a plant and some chocolates. I got my mom some outdoor entertaining type stuff for her beach house. For my bride the kids and I got her a few books that she wanted, some new patio furniture, and an Ice Tea maker....she's a teacher and is ready for the summer....this stuff will all help her enjoy her time off while I slave away in the corporate world. I told her that "her" Americana wax would be late.....no Mother's Day detailing for her. She just laughed and shook her head. I told her there are worse ways for a husband to spend a little $. I already sent them a link for father's day. I NEED a foam gun! Happy mother's day to those of you that are!
  10. Check with your school. Many times there are deals that can be had thru educational institutions and they may even offer support on campus. Also, think about what you need it for. If it's just basic things such as web/email/word processing you should be able to get out of it pretty cheap. Things like high end graphics/video editing require more "horsepower" that may not be needed in general situations.
  11. That is the only downside. It takes too long for the big brown trunk to go from CA to MA. I'll be psyched to have it in hand next weekend. I have some new things from X-mas that I have yet to try out (GEN 2 pads & MSW) so I am looking forward to a sun up till sun down detailing.
  12. I am imagining a Christmas @ the North Pole type deal going on at the warehouse right now. Hopefully all 300 of those nice boxes will be off with the Brown Truck straight away in the am. I plan to spend the Memorial Day weekend detailing, grilling, drinking, and admiring the shine of the Americana Wax.
  13. I did this for the first time the other night. When you are checking out a video on YouTube there is something on the right hand side that referenced "embeded". I copied and pasted that into the "Insert Link" tab at the top of the post menu. You can test it out. Godspeed. ***Edit. How does Bill do it? I see a post, start to type a reply, and he swoops in and gets a post up in a nano second!***
  14. I would think that for you that waxing ones car while on the clock would be legit. Some of us that don't have detailing related jobs have to duck and weave...
  15. Thanks for the reminder. Now that the Paste Wax isn't going to ship until Friday I guess I will have to go out and get my wife a little something from me and the girls.
  16. If you clayed, polished, and used superwax last month I should think all you'd need would be a good wash prior to laying down the Americana. I think by claying again you would remove the majority of the superwax. My plan is to wash, clay, polish (multiple stages), wash, machine superwax, wait a few days, wash, and finish up with Americana. From reading this forum I have learned that Machine Superwax is a sealant, not really a wax. I love the benefits of sealants, but they don't always look specacular....hence going with Americana as a last step product.
  17. Detailing is my therapy...well that plus a few Newcastle Brown Ales.
  18. I hope there isn't a better deal coming that we early adoptors will miss out on. If history is any indication there will be a new product release tomorrow, , or just as soon as my wax leaves the warehouse on the brown truck!
  19. Now someone will have to put up an "ETA of Paste Wax Shipping" thread! This is a good thing on several fronts: (1) My spring time detail will be happening as soon as the pollen stops and (2) My wife is already mad at me. (3) This will make my wife even more mad...until I put a coat on her Subaru and it looks mint. I can't wait to try this.
  20. This supposedly happened while filming a Disney film starring noted Ferrari collector,and actor, Nicholas Cage. He wasn't driving, but his Ferrari's have been used in some of his movies... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlbAPUjKooM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlbAPUjKooM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
  21. There are a lot of classy people on this forum...which kind of balances out the scumbags of the world to a degree.
  22. I too saw that, tried to chat with Ashley, and it would appear they had a premature update to the website. The proof reader hadn't been thru that yet, nor had the pricing consultant! The good news is that it has to be almost...
