  1. Oh yeah sure...keep teasing us! In PA they got Adam and the paste wax. At the detail clinic in NH we got C6Bill, no Green Wheel Cleaner, stale donughts, day old reheated coffee, and a boot in the a$$...
  2. I think $70 for a jar of wax is expensive...but when you break it down to $3 per use not so bad. Giddy up! I'm in.
  3. I love the 8 inch model that I got. I was sorry to see a post elsewhere that they aren't carrying them anymore. Next time I'll go with the 14 inch and fire up my sawzall to the handle if it bugs me!
  4. The Sports Authority usually has good deals on the EZ up 10 X 10's. I use mine for tailgating and back yard parties. It's a nice thing to have for several uses.
  5. I have a bottle of Machine Super Wax (in addition to a bunch of other stuff) that I haven't even tried yet and I already know that I will order a tub of this stuff the day it comes out. Those shots that Chris posted of the GTO were enough to sell me on it.
  6. If the sales numbers are there I am sure they will. GM was already "rebadging" a Holden Commodore into a Pontiac G8.....so I don't see why not the same into a Chevy whatever.
  7. 68 and sunny here today, even better for the weekend. Luckily I have the day off today. I already got my hair cut and over-seeded the lawn. Now it's off to have my shoulder worked on, Home Depot/Lowe's with the boss for some plants/etc, and then it's ****tail time. I think both rigs are getting a bath today. If tomorrow is as nice as they say I'll be breaking out the new GEN2 pads and Machine SuperWax finally. Have a good day.
  8. This is a beautiful rig for certain, but I just don't get it. It looks like my 72 Buick GS convertible did while I was saving up for a paint job after the body work and primer was done. I think a nice deep black, shined up by Adam's of course, would 1,000 times better. I have also seen some other exotics out there with this matte finish. Not for me. Just one man's opinion.
  9. No idea....lost count on red lights too. What amazed me was that whoever was driving didn't even lift of the throttle at all when coming to stop signs/red lights/round abouts.

  11. I love that film. Thanks for posting that as I haven't seen that in quite some time. There is much controversy surrounding that film. Various theories are out there. Who knows what is true and what isn't. The fact of the matter is that no matter who was driving, and not matter what they were driving, that is surely something to get your heart pumping just a little faster. For those interested below is a map of Paris with the route taken, and times noted, in red. Pretty cool.

  13. Unless it was raining in said warmer climate...
  14. Wow! That make my OCD seem all too pedestrian... That's pretty funny. Good on ya! Whatever works.
  15. I am not sure what "s.i/bk" driving is but if that is some type code for highway driving than I think you are on to something....especially being in the northeast. The roads are tough in the winter with all the sand/salt/junk on them. It's a curse but the more I clean my windows the worse they look.
  16. There are all sorts of various financial incentives that are available to dealerships from the manufacturer(s). Most of the time we, as buyers, see this in "rebates" which are usually given back to the dealership, so to speak, in order to drop the bottom line/selling price. In many cases when a dealer shows you the invoice of a given vehicle the invoice is set as if they had bought just that one specific vehicle an no others. Dealer's have various incentives on the number of vehicles they take in from the manufacturer, how quickly they pay the manufacturer, how many they sell etc. There are incentives in place, commonly refered to as "hold back(s)" that can influence the price a dealer is paying for a given vehicle. It has always cracked me up to hear someone say that they paid under invoice for a vehicle. In general, not always, dealers do not sell a vehicle for less than they paid. Dealerships do not sell items at a loss intentionally such as grocery stores do. This practice is called a loss leader.....get someone in the door with a crazy cheap price, take the loss on a given item, and then make up the loss, and then some, on other items in the shopper's cart. Think about it...if dealers sold @ invoice how would they pay their staff, debt service on their facility, utilities, etc? For me the important thing is that I don't overpay. There is nothing worst than finding out you paid more for something than someone else did. This is where research comes into play.....the internet is your friend. To circle back to the topic my wife had a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder SE. It was a great vehicle. Plenty of room, comfortable, and no problems. It was the first vehicle she ever leased. She changed vehicles on me quickly a few times so I figured we'd negotiate a good price to buy it at the end if she did like it. When the lease was up gas was over $4 per gallon and that Pathfinder returns horrible numbers in the city, 11 mpg, so we turned it in. It actually got great milage on the highway....28 mpg ish. She got a 2009 Subaru Forester as a replacement....which she likes better as it's not too big, gets much better gas milage, and is somewhat "green" with it's PZEV rating.
  17. I will once I get a bag for it. They didn't have anything I liked at Ritz. I need something to fit all I got with the kit yesterday plus perhaps an additional lens as I figure eventually I"ll need something that can zoom more vs. the kit lens. I am going to take those classes they offer there though.
  18. No, it's not a "normal" way to spend a Saturday for most people, but for those of us here it certainly is. Nice job. From my experience you will love that Green Wheel Cleaner. APC will still be as good as it ever was.
  19. Well after figuring out what my co-worker wanted for his used camera and doing a bit of research on my own I decided on the following... I used it today at my daughter's birthday party and the pictures came out great just on the auto setting. A big step up from the 5mp P&S that I have been using for the last several years. Now I need to read the manual cover to cover, play around with all the various settings, and attend a class that the joint I bought it at has. This should keep me off the streets for a time. Thanks for the input for all of those who replied.
  20. I hope you photo document this dogs growth like you did with G. It is amazing how quick, and big, those dogs grow. Best of luck with the new pup. That is a great looking dog.
  21. Was that picture of the Vette taken by Ray w/his D80? Looks a small asain guy with hair in the reflection.....which you aint!
  22. This is one of those weird days that I have off. Stock Market holiday so no "official" work today. I have a few things to get caught up on this morning but I'll be done by 9ish. Then I have to vacate the house as my youngest daughter (9) is having 12 of her friends over for a B-Day party. It's going to be 60 and sunny here today with rain coming in about 6pm. If anyone is looking for me I'll be at the golf course!
  23. I was busy working. Which I am still doing....
  24. I know from reading prior posts that there are some photographers on this forum....so I am seeking advice. I want to step up from a point & shoot digital camera to a DSLR. Researching these things is tough as there is so much information out there. I had it narrowed down to a Nikon D60 or a Canon Rebel XSi. Now one of the guys that I work with just upgraded his Nikon D80 to a D90 and has the D80 up for sale. It's about 18 months old and has been well taken care of. He's looking for "around $500" for the camera body and will throw in the basic lense that came with it for another $50ish. I'm wondering if I'd be better off with this camera as compared to the others I have been considering and/or if this camera would be too much camera for a first DSLR. I don't plan to get too fancy with it, but I'd like to step up my game so to speak. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.
  25. Major League Baseball has started! A sure sign that spring is here.
