  1. I can attest to another count. I called Adams today because an order I placed on the 4th wasn't shipped yet and I hadn't received an update. Apparently it was being held since the sidekick dryer was on order. He had them ship everything they had in the warehouse and since the order included a gallon of DWC and its now on special, threw in the APC and brush that the daily special is doing! Very cool of them to do that.
  2. Welcome from another VA Beach guy. Good basic kit there. You're gonna blow through that 1 16oz detail spray though. Since you're local and starting out, I have about 1/3 a gallon of the old formula spray I'll give you if you want. Just PM me.
  3. Like a lot of people I think you guys should come out with a Adam's PRO line of polishes. I think your current lineup is great for beginner-moderate since they're so user friendly. I would love to see a nice cut SMAT and finish polishes similar to 105/205. I think that would keep people forking over the cash when they graduate from your polishes now. Of course I'm sure you guys are already working on that.
  4. That is absolutely ridiculous!! I am one of those people that will deliberately drive out of my way and or pay a little more for customer service. If I were you, I would make the drive to the nearest other dealer even if it's a hike to buy the cars. Then email the window stickers to the owner of the dealer chain and tell him you went elsewhere because of all this. I didn't go to the same dealer I bought my '12 GT from because I didn't like them and instead drove about an hour north to another Ford dealer for the Boss. Made one inquiry online and the girl on the phone called me within 10 minutes. She even got their trade in guy to quote me a minimum for my GT sight unseen so I wouldn't waste my time driving up there. They stuck to the price and the trade in price when I got there. I would make the trip again for another car because of this service.
  5. Welcome from another GHIG Boss owner. I'm in Chesapeake area VA so if you're in the northern part of NC you're not too far from me. Feel free to PM me if you're not too far and I would be more than happy to meet up with you to go over detailing. Another good buddy of mine is a '12 Boss owner and an Adam's user for years as well. Between us we have well over $3k in detailing supplies.
  6. Unfortunately with dealer prepped swirls, I would say you're gonna need correction. However, everyone's definition of perfect is different. If after getting to Adam's HQ and talking with them, you feel that the car is in good shape, don't shame yourself into buying more than you feel you need. Brilliant Glaze will fill minor swirls, so I would at least start with the wash, quick seal, Glaze, and then Americana if you don't want to get into machine polishing just yet. GL with the new car
  7. Nice job man but you must really like this friend to give him a coat of Patriot for free. Even I would have probably just gone with Americana and felt generous lol.
  8. ^ Ya, the new detail spray requires MUCH less buffing to be streak free for me. I can spray on, wipe and then one pass with a dry towel and be perfect. It used to take more passes with the old stuff. The new formula is just as slick if not more with a great shine but is VERY noticeably easier to be streak free than the old formula. I do miss the old formula smell however. I really wish they could have kept it. But i'll take the trade off for ease of use. Love the new stuff.
  9. This stuff has been around for a while. I wasn't trying to do the whole review. I needed to clean the car and show that DWC is just as good as the competition for paint decontamination even though it's marketed for wheels. If you don't believe this product works you can YouTube videos done with side by side panel tests with clay of other brand.
  10. Nice! Consider yourself lucky you only needed Fine Machine Polish to remove the dealer installed swirls lol.
  11. If it's just dusty I would use Waterless Wash. Wouldn't wanna spend the time getting the soap residue off. Edit: Didn't see you only wanted two options. Out of those two, probably APC still. It wipes clean with no soapy residue.
  12. It would really be used POST wash and Pre-Clay before you start polishing. Then lay down your seal/glaze/wax. I wouldn't be doing this step every wash or wax. Pretty much only when you need to clay again and reapply your LSP. My method for full correction is: Wash DWC Car Rinse Clay Rinse Polish Seal Glaze Wax ? Profit Then in between when I don't need to polish but still want to strip and redo LSP: Wash DWC Car Rinse Clay Rinse Seal Glaze Wax
  13. Excellent. This place requires more Mustangs. Too many Chevy's in the Adam's household lol.
  14. Just wanted to make a separate thread on the paint cleaning abilities of the Deep Wheel Cleaner. Another company has had a similar product for a while now and people have used it on paint as a pre-clay decontamination. It will remove things that clay won't. I was excited when Adam's came out with the DWC and decided to give it a try on the Wife's Explorer today and to show everyone how well it works. I had a bottle of the Brand-X stuff and actually used it on the Boss. The Explorer got full DWC. I can tell you guys that the Adam's DWC works the same if not better on the paint, smells MUCH BETTER, and is significantly cheaper to buy. I paid $33 + shipping for the same size bottle of Brand-X. Needless to say I've ordered a gallon of DWC. I wish they had a 5 gallon of it, I'd buy it. DWC was sprayed over the entire car POST WASH so the car was already "clean". Then lightly agitated with a damp sponge and allowed to sit for about 5 minutes. DWC was actually allowed to dry on the paint completely on multiple panels and on plastics. I witnessed no ill effects and it rinsed clean with a hose. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan of this stuff and feel it works excellent. Now for the pics.
  15. So the Wife's car has been neglected for a while. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to at least do a basic cleaning on it. It still needs to be clayed and a basic polish but that's for another day. Today it just got cleaned and detail sprayed, in/out spray on all trim. I did use the opportunity to show how good Deep Wheel Cleaner works as a paint decontaminate solution. Before This is how well the DWC works on paint. I encourage everyone to use it Pre-Clay. I even let it dry on the paint by accident in places and it rinsed clean, no harm even on plastic. This DWC was done AFTER the first wash, so the car was "Clean". Just shows how much stuff it will eat that you can't see. Finished up for today. Not perfect by any means but about 100x better lol. Did the tires with VRT but after I took the pics.
  16. So I spent all day today with the car. I will update this thread with more pics tomorrow and Saturday. She got a strip wash, decontaminate and clayed. There are little swirls some places but it's really hard to see in this paint. The car actually looked pretty good after I cleaned it up so I decided to only do Fine Machine Polish on her with the flex. Taped off all the stripes and trim and did the whole car with it then an IPA wipedown and Machine Super Sealant. Surprisingly the day went from warm and sunny to cold and overcast by the time I was sealing it. Didn't get any pics after the polish/sealant these are all pre-polish. Tomorrow I'll get some after it get's some Glaze/Americana. This is right after the clay.
  17. I would do a test with it first. My opinion is that you would probably lose a little longevity from the Americana if you glazed over it, but you might like the short term pop from it. Glaze does amazing things. If at something like a car show where you just need 1 day of the best you can get, I would do my prep/glaze/americana. Go to the show, waterless as needed, then a glaze coat for the day and take it off with detail spray. That worked amazing for the Grabber Blue, YMMV.
  18. Hah, I would drink detail spray if I wouldn't die. Smells soo good. I go through a ton of it on my little Mustang, I can only imagine how much you need for that truck.
  19. 1) All Purpose Cleaner 2) Detail Spray 3) Americana I use APC for everything, it rocks.
  20. Very nice! Very warm deep look to the patriot, I love it. I can't stand the flat mirror reflection everyone wants from these Nano sealants now. Awesome ST.
  21. Wow, I didn't even think to investigate the new wheel cleaner since I still use the green and I was only thinking about using this for the paint. I just bought a bottle of the brand X stuff and it cost me way more than the DWC, son of a Guess I'm gonna have to get a gallon of the DWC.
  22. What's Adam's take on iron dissolving sprays as a pre-clay decontamination? I haven't seen them mentioned or offered yet I'm sure you've tried them Dylan. One is pretty popular.
  23. Traded in my Grabber Blue '12 GT for a '13 Boss 302 Thursday. The Gotta Have it Green is gonna be a great color for me and anyone who knows how to detail cars. The gold flake in and overall tone of the paint will really reward proper polishing/detailing techniques. Washed the Boss but of course it has the dealer installed swirls all in the paint even though it was in the showroom. Waiting for a few more things in the mail so I can spend a good day polishing/seal/wax. Salesman tried to lowball me on the GT saying that his team was gonna charge him $1000 to get my car "lot ready." I laughed at him because he hadn't gone out there and looked at it. I had 20 hours of polishing in that car, it looked better than anything the dealer had on the entire lot. After seeing it the service manager raised the price and I was well above what I owed on it and came out positive equity on the trade. Crappy pics from the pickup day and outside the garage Today.
  24. Looking good. Always nice to see another immaculate Grabber Blue Stang. Most people around here that think their rides look good, are covered in swirls
  25. Tell the dealer not to freaking TOUCH the car. My grabber blue 12 came with a ton of dealer installed swirls. GHIG shows swirls pretty well too, especially in the sun. The good news is, once corrected the paint looks amazing in the sun with all that flake. Even though new, I'm with everyone else. You're gonna have to: Strip wash Clay Bar Polish as needed Machine Seal Glaze Americana Then prepare for Raiders of the Lost Arc.
