  1. Some cars have little plastic covers over the terminals but a good portion do not have anything. All the plastic covers do is dress it up and prevent anything from short circuiting on the positive post.
  2. It's a great show, the Corvette Funfest at Mid America Motor works is very cool. Middle of nowhere though.
  3. I actually put a bike handle grip on one of mine.
  4. Welcome, were you at Goodguys last year?
  5. Not necessarily recommend doing it with a machine but I tend to get a more even thin application, which is preferred. Most certainly faster by machine and helps saves your joints. I still do it by hand from time to time but 90% is with machine.
  6. Adam's wheel cleaner is awesome especially with a wheel woolie. I would use that and then maybe hit them with h2o g&g. LPS would work as well but definitely harder to apply to those. Wish Quick Sealant was still available, perfect for sealing bikes.
  7. This is an 03 Fatboy Anniversary bike I cleaned up for a friend a couple years ago. Most likely, I'll be doing it again here soon. Not the greatest picture but it shows the chrome out in the sun with Glaze on it.
  8. I agree, Harley has great paint quality and the chrome work is awesome. The advantage to adding Brilliant Glaze is that it will add more depth, gloss and reflection in the chrome. Glaze doesn't last long but for its ease of application it's worth it, especially before a show or taking it to a bike gathering.
  9. I have a Rupes mini that's been used on several bikes, similar in size to the SK mini. Using that I can get a good portion of the paint but still have to do some by hand. Personally, I would start by hand and see where that gets you. If there is a good amount of chrome I like to use Revive and Brilliant Glaze on that.
  10. Already stated buy sealant may take a bit longer to cure. Polishing should be fine, I've done it outside down to about 40 degrees, the only thing that changed was the flash time of the polish.
  11. H2O guard and gloss is more of a maintenance product than a stand alone sealant. That being said, I've used it alone and got good results. After a strip wash, clay and application of H2O guard and gloss, I would say that car beaded well for a solid 3 months. On my truck I strip wash, clay, polish of needed, liquid paint sealant a d then maintain with H2O guard and gloss. To answer your question though, I have seen 6 months of beading easily out of LPS alone and at least 3 months out of H2O g&g alone.
  12. The biggest reason I use Adam's strip wash over dawn or shampoo with APC is it won't dry out or damage plastic and rubber trim. Dawn is very harsh on plastics and rubber, APC isn't exactly gentle either. Strip wash specifically is made to remove wax, sealant and trim dressings without staining or completely drying out trim.
  13. Rich, I agree with everything you said about the swirl finder. For the price it's an awesome tool to have around. When I was out in Scottsdale at Barrett Jackson with the Adam's team, we all kept one handy. Even under the lights inside the salon trying to see swirls or smudges was not easy, swirl finder changed that really quick.
  14. It would be a huge area to do but I wonder how well the new trim coating would work.
  15. We really appreciate the compliments. The team worked very hard both weeks. It was great to meet you as well Rick, hope the shirt fits well. Also, I have never had to dry that many cars in one day, ever....
  16. I use Adam's new glass towels primarily but in a pinch I use the waterless wash towels and they work pretty good. Especially with the updated glass cleaner.....
  17. Like already stated, seal or coat your wheels. Adam's just happens to have a new wheel ceramic coating just for this. http://adamspolishes.com/shop/specials/coatings/adam-s-ceramic-wheel-coating.html
  18. Another for Bosch Icons, I think I got mine on Amazon. I rarely use them though, lots of glass sealant.
  19. I think we spoke on Friday or Saturday. I couldn't stay both weeks but was glad to have the chance to work with Adam's. Those shirts are great aren't they?
  20. I was probably in the middle of running around doing something, either grabbing more supplies for inside or helping a customer.
  21. Just throwing it out there but I got to see the Mini Swirlkiller in action and some hands on time with it this week. Great little machine, very capable.
  22. What have you tried so far? All purpose cleaner or tire and rubber cleaner on the corner of a towel works well or lightly scrubbing with a brush as well.
  23. Great write up. Now I want a Nano, not that I didn't already have one on the radar.....
