Normal recommendation around here has been Tarminator and at $5 a can, there is probably little chance that many companies would try to make a competitor.
It's extremely cheap and works very well, so it would be hard to go up against.
Jason nailed it. We can introduce one, and have several formulas in house. Still, unless we blow away the Tarminator product, it's hard to introduce it into our line. At $5-6/ can, Tarminator works extremely well, and is available at nearly every auto parts and big box retail outlet.

Thanks for this feedback, first of all. Thanks to you Dylan for showing up with a very good explanation as well! True, the new machine needs to be used at a lower speed setting. In our testing, we find that setting 4 on the Mark II is a bit higher than the Mark I at full speed, setting 6.
We are going to do some more testing, and have some replacement pads for all who have burned through ours. Ideally, please send photos of your roasted pad, and we'll get you the replacements quick! Orders@AdamsPolishes.com
This new tool is powerful, and goes beyond paint correction. We hope to have an ideal solution identified shortly, and think we are close now....stay tuned!

Hi Gino, and YES! Waiting for the winter weather to go away, then we plan to put at least 3 clinics on the calendar for this year. We will have some around the country, besides the ones at our HQ.....For instance, coming soon, we will be in PA for the Grabiak Clinic, and then we have clinics nearly all day at the many shows we attend.
Stay tuned for that schedule, coming soon!

This is a great thread, and the difference needs to be stated, especially with the new Americana, which was launched today!
Here's how I decide what Paste Wax to use:
Looking for amazing shine, only, on a finish that doesn't see many elements? Patriot.
Looking for good shine, and great protection on something I drive often? Americana.
Both are now easy to use. If I was shopping for wax on a budget, and was only waxing my daily driven hot rod, I'd choose the Americana. Big bang for the buck.
My $0.02. You won't be dissatisfied with either, and on my winter beater, I don't use either, stick with the Paint Sealant!

Friends, thank you for your candid input and requests from us here at Adam's! We have a few thousand discontinued items now in stock, which are not available through our AdamsPolishes.com store. Now, especially with the label change-over, these are specially priced on our eBay store, which is located here:
http://stores.ebay.com/Adams-Polishes
There are many of these items left over, and these discounts will make you happy. For those who use much product, this is a way to grab jumbo quantities at prices.. REMEMBER: This is new, non-expired inventory, however, you should only buy chemicals you can use in the next 18-24 months, if you can store the products between 45 and 85 degrees.
Ben Stanley and Jason DeMoss are in charge of the eBay Store and inventory. If you have questions about any of these items, please shoot over an email or phone call! eBay@AdamsPolishes.com or 866-965-0400.
There are new products being listed every day, total quantities are listed as well. For instance, if you want a few bottles of a certain product, just adjust the quantities to the desired number.
Thanks for buying goods in quantity, and I hope this answers your requests for bigger quantities with savings. Keep asking for what you want, and I'll do everything possible to make it happen!
Thanks! - Adam

The same thing happened on my TBSS and I just had them powder coated $400 bucks and done. Now I'm thinking of getting my SSS wheels done because I love them so much lol
Yep, powder coat is a good call, that or do a chrome exchange through MidAmerica or West Coast Corvettes.

This is great input friends! As Dan mentioned, we are indeed working on a revision of the Americana tub....stay tuned! It lasts the weekend warrior detailer too long, 10+ years currently! Should be a 3-5yr supply.
Thanks for this input, very valuable and relevant.

So, I just wanted to say, "Thanks!" Love to read a success story, and Dan, Ben, Kourtney, and Ashley are a stellar group of humans. Not to mention, Chris, Jason, and Shane in the shipping line, who got the order on the FedEx stack in under 30 min.
Thank you. I'm honored to have earned your business, and really grateful that you took time to post these kind words.

I'd say 10 or 15 degrees above ambient. Dry 1/4 of your car, and then it starts to heat up!

Just to add my $0.02, if you use one often, the gas powered units are more durable. At or below 3000psi, you are safe. If you get closer than 12" to your finish, you are asking for trouble. Shockingly, Honda motors will outlast just about any pump you buy. Costco sells a unit for $300 that is a serious bargain:
If you are looking for an inexpensive, yet effective electric unit, here is a good deal on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Briggs-Stratton-20600-Electric-Detergent/dp/B013BM8B72/ref=pd_sim_sbs_86_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=41zuJtXHpVL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR133%2C160_&refRID=0J9557NRQJBT3C5GEQTA
We typically get 2-3 years from our gas-powered pressure washers before the pumps die, and we work them HARD! Be sure to put fuel stabilizer in the tank before winter, and you will enjoy many effective blastings!

From a PC to a Rupes LHR 15 MkII
in Paint Correction & Polishing
Posted
First, thanks Aaron for a great post! Second, the initial iBrids only come in a complete hard-case kit with Rupes chemicals. I'm confident that the units will eventually be sold less accessorized, to bring the cost down.
Being first to market with this technology, Rupes has the ability to charge what the market will bear, and certainly, the market is hungry for this technology!
If you must have one now, pull the trigger! I'd say that within 6 months the initial hunger may subside, and more economical kits may become available.
