  1. Are you using DWC every time you wash? Or are you sealing your wheels and using car wash soap to knock everything off?
  2. I guess waterless wash could be considered the "blue"
  3. Are you scrubbing your tires with APC and a tire brush after you clean the wheels?
  4. Cerium oxide. The trick to making it work is the right pad and using LOTS of water. I am talking spray bottle in one hand and polisher in the other and you spray it after every pass. It doesn't break down like a normal polish so you just re-wet it to keep working it. It can be done with a DA, but expect to spend some time on it. So much this! OEM glass is always better than aftermarket glass. No stupid blue streak at the top and they seem to hold up better.
  5. I tried it. No issues with the actual claying, but it seemed like it deteriorated the clay.
  6. Last week I flew out from Colorado to the east coast to pick up my new car. buddy of mine and I stopped to grab some product since I couldn't just drive the car back with the dealer "detail" job. Eric was awesome. A really nice guy and turns out he used to be a VW guy! Had a Corrado. When I get back from this second trip I'm on this week I'll be posting a thread and doing great correction on the new car finally. I took some pics at Thompson Racing.
  7. I would highly recommend it. When I was re-gasketing a motor last year the machine shop had to take off .006" to get the head flat again. Doesn't sound like much but it ensured a perfect seal when I put it back together. And considering it didn't suffer from a bad head gasket or over heating that is a good bit of warp-age. When they cleaned it, it pulled off all the grime from the ports as well. It looked brand new when I got it back.
  8. Reapply the quick sealant to those areas and wipe it off. That should level it out and fix it.
  9. Every time I pull a head off of a motor I drop it off at the machine shop to have it resurfaced and cleaned properly. They are usually replacing the valve seals in there too anyways and have to tear it down. 100 bucks for piece of mind.
  10. Nicely done. I like watching more in depth videos and seeing other people's techniques. Larry@ammonyc's videos are excellent to watch too. Sub'd
  11. Ahhh my computer nerd eyes thank you.
  12. Yeah... but then he is stuck in Texas... That place is barely above a 3rd world country in terms of driving skill.
  13. They love to use that patent to the fullest extent too! Their website even kind of gloats about the patent cases won.
  14. must clean EVERYTHING

  15. Have you read the other patents? They should be invalidated based on the previous patent that is about to expire. They all show basically the same thing. BUT I'm no patent lawyer.
  16. How do you manage to chew through a 16oz TID in a day? It barely takes any to do a full interior.
  17. The main patent expires on the 28th of this month.
  18. The only thing I ever could really use in a 36oz is APC. I can chew through a 36oz bottle on a bad set of tires on an SUV or truck. Definitely curious to see the new bottles though.
  19. One of the few times I didn't have my car parked in my Garage at my apartment the lady who lives below me put a huge scratch along the side of my car with a gallon of milk. Watched it happen from my balcony too. When I lived in a townhouse with parking that was pretty tight I would walk out to find door dings on the weekly basis. And my favorite is when I park at work. I park far away from everyone. Someone always has to ruin my day by parking right next to me and door dinging me People really suck when it comes to respecting other's cars.
  20. I stare at terminal windows all day on my computer at work, so bright websites tend to hurt my eyes a bit. Also with this hangover I have right now I could use the dark theme
  21. Also you might want to check if the HOA/Covenant has a specific noise ordinance as well.
  22. As someone that doesn't go to work until 9am, I can tell you I like my sleep and there is nothing worse than getting woken up right before my alarm goes off. Speaking of getting woken up before my alarm goes off... Does anyone want to try BBQ Chihuahua or Corgy? My neighbors dogs are sounding more and more tasty the more they wake me up.
  23. So... I should stop using detail spray as a mixer?
