Very clean truck. Lots of work in that.

I love those old GM trucks but I HATE when they get dropped like that. I want mine to be ready (and capable) to run down a jeep trial.

For a fleetside, it's ok, but if I every did a step side it would have to be more like this:

I'd just want something that drives like a comfortable pair of jeans and gets some approving nods from those who appreciate a clean old truck.

My brother has one very similar to that one, '72 3/4 T red and white, what a rough ridin' truck, way worse than some 4X4s , it was the Old Man's truck.

Is the shortbed the biggest hurdle? I have seen plenty long boxes, but not to many fleetside short box beds.

Yep... the most sought after and hardest to find. I could find long beds all day when I was looking, but short bed fleet sides were hard to come by - at least for a realistic price.
