suke
Owner came and got his car the other day. It was sunny and managed to get some quick sun pics. It was 100* so I didn't want to hang out too long out there. Perfection in the sun as expected. ocdrifter

suke
The black VW is coming back next weekend. I've taken a hiatus for the summer for jet ski season. I'm accepting cars again in the interim while we wait for our first child to be born. Then I'll disappear again for a few weeks. HAH!

suke
Well it's back and it's in pretty rough shape from the last time I did it. Car was rear ended and the body shop did a number on the paint. Taping off to figure out what process is going to give me the best results. Tried 4 different combinations and finally came up with a very unlikely contender, which surprised me. This ended up being the one! Ended up going with an all in one polish with a cutting pad. This was very counter intuitive since every other time I've done this car I've had to go with the lightest cut polish and pad. There are some panels that I've done so far the AIO hasn't been enough to cut through the body shop detailing hacks. Wash marks all over the place. Gone! Nothing left but perfect paint. Need to get this little gem out. Accidentally shut his garage door on his car. WHOOPS!
suke
All done and he came and picked it up. He was blown away with it. Not gonna lie this thing fought me all the way. It's always a challenge when you deal with parts that have aftermarket paint. All done up to sealant. Final wax is on rubber treated and wheels sealed Out in the sun! Oh yeah! Black is sooooooooo hard to get done right too. Got that scratch out. Only part left is in the chrome. Edited November 3, 2014 by suke
suke
Much of the same since the sun wouldn't cooperate with me today, then when it finally did come out and I wasn't at home. Oh well I am finally done! Put some buttery on it this morning, did some final last touches and cleaned up the interior a bit. This is coming back into me this weekend. He's getting ready to move to Utah so I'm just going to do an AIO on it and get it some good protection before he moves.
suke
Vette came back in for a maintenance detail. He's moving to Salt Lake next month and wanted to get it done one last time by someone that didn't suck. Got this one banged out really quick. Didn't take too many pics since I had to get it done quick. Before Sealant on After polishing and sealant Exhaust polished Wheels polished out MUCH better After final wax Out in the sun Edited November 17, 2014 by suke

suke
Next up I have a pearl black BMW X5 this weekend. When it rains it pours. LOL! All my clients are starting to panic as my wife is preggo and due in a few weeks so taking advantage of my short detail season before I take another hiatus to take care of family. suke
What I've got this weekend. 2013 BMW X5 with sports package and xdrive. These are some of the widest rear tires I've seen! For only being a year old it's HAMMERED!!! The rotary marks from the dealer are atrocious!!! They seriously have to know they're making it worse than if they just let it be. suke
It's pouring with rain here and dark. Unfortunately won't get any sun pics tomorrow either when they pick it up, so my cramped garage will have to do. Didn't have much time and had to get this banged out. suke
Pulled out the SLR today to take some pics before they came and got it. Managed to catch a rainbow in the background. suke
I managed to get some of that dust out after I took the pics, but man it was EVERYWHERE. The microfiber pad and paint correcting polish created quite the dusty mess. I kept wiping it up out of everywhere.

That thing had the best of both worlds. It was a pearl black so it looks great in the sun, but then it was also black so it has the depth quality most other metallic/pearl paints lack.
