matts88yj
My dad showed me this the other day and I thought this was awesome. The pilots 91st birthday was three days ago and I can't get enough of his reaction to the video. LDM
I've always been somewhat of a WWII buff, particularly on the aerial side of things (my grandfather was a Navy flight instructor during the war) so I find stories like these awesome. It's great that even though it was so long ago the pilot still remembers it like it was yesterday. Heck, I have trouble remembering what I did last week. matts88yj
Agreed! He seems very well spoken about the entire chain of events as well. I bet he has a ton of additional stories as well.

Mongosg8
Seen this the other day and thought this was just fantastic. I couldn't keep my smile off my face with his reaction and couldn't prevent a tear from swelling up. Imagine flying over Germany ..by yourself.. in a spit fire with no machine guns or bombs and just surveillance cameras etc for reconnaissance? This gentleman is a true hero and the courage to fly over Nazi Germany with the risk of being shot down to provide pictures of targets is just incredible. He deserved the distinguished flying cross and then some! "Get that cigarette out of your mouth" That cracked me up! Team Adam's

GXPaycheck
Later recon units adopted the official motto: Alone, Unarmed, and Unafraid. The unofficial version was: Alone, Unarmed, and Scared S**tless.
