Best way to melt down Americana?

What is the best and safest way to melt down Americana to fit back in the tub?  I used it a few times and the sides arent touching the wall of the tub and it was split into two pieces. The wax split down the middle for the first few months I had it ( didn't know you had to put it in the fridge) it has been in the fridge now for about 6 months.

You really don't need to do anything, you can use it that way......just so you can get it on the applicator.

check with Dylan, but I recall reading that it is risky because if not done just right the ingredients can seperate and leave you with a lump of useless product.

I've always warmed the container in warm water on the stove, just until it melts. Then stir it occasionally as it cools

I put it on my backyard here in Vegas. It's hot enough that it starts melting.

Have had that issue with other things too. If it's in a metal container lightly run my butane torch over the top. Make sure it's not flammable, be ready to put out, not the best idea but fast. Would work on ice cream?
