cleaning glass

I am struggling with this one:

Film on the inside of the windshield (non smokers car) - used stoners. Still a film.
Used stoners again - Still a film.
Wiped it down with vinegar - still see it when the sun hits it.

Next up i'm going to try a wipe down with IPA

I have also heard that rubbing it with a potato could help, but that just sounds plain crazy!!

Any suggestions?

If its that stubborn, hit the glass with some steam.

This might sound crazy too, but you could also try clay followed with glass cleaner.

I don't think that's too crazy.. Definitely worth a shot at this point to get whatever it is off of there!

I have the exact same problem and used the same products you did including vinegar and newspapers, and windex, etc.  Only thing that works for me is Adam's Glass Cleaner and the GLASS RAGS!!  DON'T USE PAPER TOWELS OR MICROFIBERS.  Both of those will streak and leave fuzz on the glass. 

I spray the glass inside with the Adam's, wipe it real good with a glass towel, then use another one and wipe it down again. Put some muscle into it though or  you could still end up with streaks. But using those particular towels is the key.

To cut through the tough stuff try some glaze..... Yes, Glaze.

I also use my steamer and it works great on glass.

I had the same issue on my most recent vehicle and 3 applications of adams glass cleaner + their glass towel got it about 99% of the way there (i'm ODC so cant say 100%, goes against my nature  LOL ) .
