Flushing Power Washers?

Whats the best way to get on-board detergent tank cleaned out before using my foam gun with the power washer? 

 

I'm buying a new house in a few weeks and it needs some powerwashing done to it..so I plan on using some chemicals to clean the siding on it, but I don't want these same chemicals to damage my cars finises.

Overfill the detergent tank with water until clear. Then run pressure washer with water in the tank adjusted (if possible) foe max detergent for a few tanks. (BTW, usually these tanks only add detergent when the tip is big orifice/low pressure for applying detergent and will not supply detergent with high pressure tips.)

Could always buy a cheap knock off foam cannon to foam your detergent on to the house. that way you don't run any contamination risks of the detergent tank on board.

I've used simple green in my foam cannon to do my siding and after running a tank or two of water after it works just fine.

 

Probably cleans it out nicely of any soap residue I figure!

 

Just don't use bleach in it but you probably knew that.
