Question!

Baron_Von_Awesome

Question

This was brought up in another forum and I'm interested in what everybody's answer is going to be:

You can either....

Always have a car with clean paint and dirty wheels

or

Always have a car with clean wheels and dirty paint

Which one would it be and why?

In college, I bought a 1984 528e, champagne colored. That color so closely resembled dirt, that I would blast off the wheels, clean the windshield, and that was all it took!

So, clean wheels. Final answer. :)

My DD is a White Chevy P/U. Polished and waxed. Even when dirty from driving in rain it still looks clean. Clean the chrome rims and tires and it really looks good from 10' and farther. Clean the wheels and tires.

I would rather have clean wheels...

Since I drive my truck every day and park it outside in the elements. I can deal with what is expected on that. Besides, if you were not allowed to wash it, nobody said anything about driving through a rainstorm really fast!

But one thing I cannot stand are wheels that are stained and rust brown looking from brake pad dust! Not to mention what it does to the wheel itself if it is chrome or bare metal
