0 DCRANER
Thanks Frank, I've only used my PC7424 one day, but I imagine the new one with the speed switch moved might be a plus.

0 Cyclone
I think they need some metal polish for that counter top they are polishing!
0 Baron_Von_Awesome
Thanks Frank, I've only used my PC7424 one day, but I imagine the new one with the speed switch moved might be a plus. I think so too. Now all they need is a trigger mechanism on it.

0 McDuff
So if the vents are on the handle doesn't your hand block them? What about heat? Longer and heavier hmmmmm.
0 Bill-V8V
The way that first guy was moving the PC I doubt he has ever used one to polish a car :pc:
0 rha600
I think the old one (which is the one I have) would be better. the vents are not blocked by your hands. The side handle is closer on the old one which would allow you to transfer pressure to the pad better. And it's a bit lighter which could be bad or good. 0 694doorbird
I noticed that the first guy was rocking the polisher. I would assume that's not right. The second guy seemed to know how to handle a polisher better. Very interesting video.
0 TR6speed
I have the old 7424 and I am happy with it. I do not see the extra 800 opm as a big advantage, nor the placement of the speed control. I for one have never changed the speed while working an area. I like to remove both polish and wax with a microfiber towel and the pc. I end up wrapping part of the towel around the hand grip and the othe half around the back part or handle. With the new XP model I would be blocking the air vents. Looks like I will be sticking with the older version. Thanks for posting.
